In the Polish legal system there are no legal regulations concerning a non-anon- ymous gamete donation and an intra-family gamete donation. The purpose of this article is to analyze if the intra-family gamete donation should be mandated in the Polish family law. It is necessary to point out that in some cases this legal construction could be valuable. In the first part of the article the typol- ogy of intra-family gamete donation is presented. In the second part, there are the results of research into the benefits and dangers of the intra-family gamete donation. Thereafter, it is analyzed how this kind of legal regulation could be implemented in the Polish legal system.

Opis:
Anonymous letters are a challenge for linguists and raise a whole range of questions that ultimately allow a creation of the linguistic portrait of the possible author. One of these questions concerns the emotional layer of the anonymous letter and the way anonymous authors express their emotions in language. This article is a contribution to the discussion and analysis of a specific type of speech genre, which is anonymous letter. The data comes from a pilot study of the original anonymous letters, the primary purpose of which is to create a corpus of those letters.

This is an essay about addiction recovery based on a trading zone psychological methodology between an Aristotelian-Thomistic [A-T] psychology of addiction, particularly alcohol/drug addiction. It is an applied psychology where we cross over to other disciplines and exchange theories and practices with a specific target of addiction recovery in mind. We could say that we are interested in learning and borrowing for the sake of problem solving within complementary disciplines. The complimentary disciplines in this A-T psychology trading zone are psychoanalytical psychodynamics and a psychoanalytical ethnographic analysis of Alcoholics Anonymous. We use the terminology in the essay of module construction, i.e. module 1) The Habituation Perspective of the Addiction Trading Zone, 2) A-T Addiction Psychology and a Psychodynamics of the Searching-Recovering Soul, and 3) The Searching Recovering Soul, A Psychodynamic Conversion of Anxiety & Habituation. Each module contains psychological concepts that are considered as necessary for a synergistic action solution to the issue of alcoholic/addiction recovery. An A-T psychological trading zone module construction is hierarchical. It, therefore, requires that module one is grounded on an A-T metaphysical psychology that allows for a fitting exchange of principles, concepts, and techniques on the issue of addiction.

Notre présent article tourne autour de la question de l’analyse géocritique des espaces de la ville anonyme et de la mer chez les deux auteurs algériens : Mohamed Dib à travers son roman Cours sur la rive sauvage et Yasmina Khadra dans L’Olympe des infortunes. Ces deux écrivains mettent en lumière la dynamique binaire de la ville anonyme et de la mer. La fusion de ces deux espaces crée des mirages révélateurs du métissage de leurs écritures et de leur société. Cette hybridité textuelle dévoile une critique néfaste de la métropole et de l’ère de la mondialisation.     
Our current article talks about the geocritical analysis of the spaces of the anonymous city and the sea argued by the two Algerian authors: Mohamed Dib through his novel Cours sur la rive sauvage and Yasmina Khadra in L'Olympe des infortunes. These two writers highlight the binary dynamics of the anonymous city and the sea. The fusion of these two spaces creates mirages revealing the intermingling of their writings and their society. This textual hybridization reveals a harmful criticism of the metropolis and the era of globalization.

In this paper we propose and prove the security of the new cryptographic primitive called the Anonymous Signer Verifiable Encrypted Signature (ASVES), joining the idea of the group signature and the verifiable encrypted signature. It satisfies the traditional requirements of the group signature (unforgeability, anonymity, unlinkability, traceability) and the opacity condition known from the verifiable encrypted signatures. The corresponding scheme may be applied for the fair exchange protocols. Our construction is based on bilinear pairings, defined in the Gap Diffie-Hellman groups.

Nemajú žiadneho vodcu, žiadnu štruktúru no aj napriek tomu v nedávnej minulosti ovplyvnili rozhodnutia tisícov ľudí po celom svete. Média ich často označujú aj za hackerov, pretože najväčšiu pozornosť vzbudzujú práve svojimi útokmi, ktorými bojujú predovšetkým za slobodu internetu alebo proti rôznym spoločenským javom. Hnutie samo o sebe tvoria okrem hackerov aj ľudia, ktorí buď zdieľajú myšlienky hnutia alebo pomocou rôznych programov atakujú a vypínajú servery organizácií, inštitúcií, vlád či webstránky rôznych bezpečnostných zložiek ako FBI či CIA.
Anonymous could call movement, activists, community or idea. They have no leader, no structure, yet have in the past influenced the decisions of thousands of people around the world. Media is often referred to as hackers, because the greatest attention they raise is their attacks, which are mainly fighting for freedom of the Internet or against various social phenomena. In addition to hackers, the movement itself creates, in addition to hackers, people who either share ideas of movement or use various programs to attack and shut down the servers of organizations, institutions, governments, or websites of various security agencies such as the FBI or the CIA.

The aim of the study was to analyze the connection between religious comfort and struggle and quality of life in Alcoholics Anonymous. The interaction effect of the length of abstinence and religious variables on the quality of life was tested as well. The participants were 100 members of an Alcoholics Anonymous group. We used the Religious Comfort and Strain Scale by Yali, Exline, Wood, and Worthington and the Quality of Life Questionnaire for Adults by Schalock and Keith. The correlation analysis showed that Religious Comfort correlated positively while fear–guilt and negative emotions towards God correlated negatively with quality of life in the AA group. Duration of abstinence played a moderating role: participants in the long abstinence period group with high religious comfort showed the highest level of quality of life.

The text is an attempt to present lesser-known plot interpretations of the Matrix series (both film trilogy and anime Animatrix) movies. The author uses various research perspectives (religio-mystical, political and socio-economic ones) to present possible ways of interpretation of particular motifs and characters, referring among others to mystical beliefs, Gnostic ideas and the tradition of initiation novel, but also to contemporary popular culture regarding films and science fiction novels. The analysis contains as well socio-political issues touched upon in the movie; moreover on the example of Anonymous Group activities the author reveals the way Matrix series still influences contemporary culture.

Gallus Anonymus’ gesta principium polonorum in the context of the formation of Polish national consciousnessThis paper is an attempt at a reconstruction of sources of Polish national consciousness, with its political and cultural components. It should be emphasized that cultural determinants are most important for consolidating national identity. In the Polish case, one of the most interesting and also most often reproduced Polish cultural motifs is the legend of Piast and Popiel. For reasons outlined above, this article will attempt to analyze legends of the first ruler in Poland and references to them in the contemporary Polish culture. For clarity of analysis, the essay is divided into two parts. The first is connected with the myth of richness and the fertile, as well as powerful Poland. The significance of this part is for the processes of creating Polish national identity around utopian visions, and also their presence in the literature. Furthermore, this myth is related with belief that the ruler must be just for his people. The second part includes the analysis of the presence of this myth in popular culture, on the example of children’s literature and in the social space.

Opis:
Observations from mixtures of different subpopulations are common in biological and sociological studies. We consider the case, when the observations are taken from a set of groups containing subjects, which belong to different subpopulations. Proportion of each subpopulation in a group is known and can vary from group to group. Our aim is to estimate the means of an observed variable for subjects, which belong to each subpopulation. In this paper we consider the case, when subpopulations are defined by answers on so called “sensitive questions”. We consider some parametric and nonparametric estimates of the subpopulation means, such as weighted means, maximum likelihood and weighted least squares estimates. Finite sample properties of these estimates are analyzed. Mean square errors of the estimates are compared on simulated data. Some asymptotic results are also given.

The aim of this paper is to offer an edition of three anonymous questions on De anima II.8, contained in MS Prague, Metropolitan Chapter, M. 80, ff. 54vA–55vB and dated 1250–1260. The text offers an original theory of the everyday imposi tion of words. To present it, I (i) analyze the contemporary question-commentaries on De anima II.8; (ii) I present the theory of everyday imposition by discussing the analogies with, and differences from, Bacon’s contemporary pragmatic theory; and (iii) I discuss the hypothesis of the attribution of the text to Roger Bacon.

The article concerns a compelling anecdote related by Gallus Anonymous. The story seems to show King Bolesław II the Bold in a good light. However, a detailed analysis of the work shows that, despite the seemingly positive overtones of the story, the historian pointed to the king’s extravagance as one of the reasons for his loss of power, being toppled from his throne, expulsion from the country and death in exile.

The paper contains an analysis of the vision of Silesia and the Silesian Piasts in our oldest historiography. The chronicles by Gall Anonymous, Master Vincent and Great Poland Chronicle are discussed succesively. Silesia in the narrative of the chronicles until testament Krzywoustego functions as an integral and important part of the Polish state. This is supported by the fact that it became a district of the princeps. Despite the expulsion of Władysław II coming back of his sons in the chronicle of Master Vincent is viewed as a positive step. They are not treated in the text as enemies to Kazimierz and Leszek the White. Their adherence to the camp Mieszko the Old stems rather from the ability of the latter to persuade people. This trend of Master Vincent’s chronicle is not maintained by the Great Poland chronicle. The Chronicler shows distinct dislikes of the Piasts of Silesia and their activities.

The article is an attempt to formulate a Thomistic spiritual philosophy of recovery. The author faces two issues. One, what do recovering alcoholics mean when they say: “I am spiritual, but not religious?” He comes to the conclusion that it means recovering alcoholics are experiencing spiritual healing in their willingness to trust a loving God who has performed a miracle of recovery from alcoholism in their life. As a result of this experience, they are prepared to live a life of virtuous habit. Two, recovering alcoholics have discovered a spiritual second nature of moral character. The author explains why there are many in A.A. who discover that as God comes into their life and they turn to the path of virtue they rediscover religious worship and devotion is essential to the one day at a time journey.

The purpose of the Polish Act on Claims for Damages for Remedying the Damage Caused by Infringements of Competition Law, based on and implementing EU law – the Damages Directive, was to enable undertakings to effectively use private enforcement of their damages claims from competition law offenders. Infringement of competition law is classified as a tort according to the said Act on Claims. Therefore, the Act on Claims refers to tort liability rules. The conditions of classic tort liability in domestic law do not have exactly the same dogmatic meaning and scope as the conditions of public or private liability for the infringements of domestic and EU competition law. In practice, their application by national courts may rise many questions regarding conformity between domestic and EU law. This paper aims to analyse one of the key conditions of tort liability, that is, the fault of both the undertaking – the offenders, as well as the fault of their governing bodies and officers. If one were to understand the notion of fault within the limits laid down by civil law, and follow the literal wording of the Polish Civil Code’s provisions referring to the fault condition, the efficiency of private enforcement of damage claims arising from infringements of competition law would be doubtful. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to provide the readers with such an interpretation of the notion of fault, as a condition of liability of undertakings, that the legislative purpose of the Act on Claims is achieved and that the principles of efficiency and equivalence of the EU law are observed. In order to present a comprehensive picture, this paper will also discuss the case law of the CJEU concerning ‘anti-trust fault’, accompanied by a comparative analysis of the German and French approach to the fault condition as well as United States antitrust laws in the same area.
L’objectif de la loi polonaise sur les actions en dommages et intérêts pour les infractions au droit de la concurrence, qui se base sur le droit de l’UE et le transpose était de permettre aux entreprises d’utiliser efficacement l’exécution privée de leurs demandes de dommages et intérêts auprès des auteurs d’infractions au droit de la concurrence. La violation du droit de la concurrence est qualifiée comme un délit civil selon la loi sur les demandes d’indemnisation. Par conséquent, la loi sur les demandes d’indemnisation renvoie aux règles de responsabilité délictuelle. Les conditions de la responsabilité délictuelle classique en droit national n’ont pas exactement la même signification et portée dogmatique que les conditions de la responsabilité publique ou privée pour les infractions au droit national et européen de la concurrence. Dans la pratique, leur application par les tribunaux nationaux peut soulever de nombreuses questions concernant la conformité entre le droit national et le droit de l’UE. Le présent document vise à analyser l’une des principales conditions de la responsabilité délictuelle, à savoir la faute de l’entreprise ainsi que la faute de ses organes et dirigeants. Si on voulait comprendre la notion de faute dans les limites fixées par le droit civil, et suivre la formulation littérale des dispositions du code civil polonais relatives à la condition de faute, l’efficacité de l’exécution privée des demandes de dommages et intérêts résultant d’infractions au droit de la concurrence serait incertaine. Par conséquent, le présent article vise à fournir aux lecteurs une interprétation de la notion de faute, en tant que condition de la responsabilité des entreprises, qui permette d’atteindre l’objectif législatif de la loi sur les demandes d’indemnisation et de respecter les principes d’efficacité et d’équivalence du droit de l’UE. Afin de présenter un cadre complet, cet article examine également la jurisprudence de la CJUE concernant la “faute antitrust”, accompagnée d’une analyse comparative des approches allemande et française de la condition de faute ainsi que des lois antitrust américaines dans le même domaine.
