Opis:
Material selection is an important task for dental healthcare. A teeth can be filled with several filling materials such as a silver amalgam (mixed with silver, tin, zinc, and copper), a plastic, a porcelain, and composites. Choosing the best filling material is a complex process for a dentist because of human healthcare. There are many criteria for the selection process such as aesthetics, resistant, strength, rigid, long life, low cost, healthy. One of the novelty of this research that is the first research in the field of selecting dental material and another novelty that is used fuzzy axiomatic design and fuzzy DEMATEL methods together first time. First of all, the most effective criteria are determined in order to choose the best material. The weights of the criteria are determined using interaction among themselves. Interactions among criteria are found using DEMATEL method with taking into consideration of dentists' experiences on a teeth filling. Secondly, evaluating alternative materials is carried out using fuzzy axiomatic design method. The results illustrate that the proposed approach is suitable for selecting materials of a teeth filling. We believe that the approach can be applicable for other material selection problems.

Opis:
The paper presents fourth version of specialist useful software in scheduling KASS v.2.2 (Algorithm Scheduling Krzeminski System). KASS software is designed for construction scheduling, specially form flow shop models. The program is being dedicated closely for the purposes of the construction. In distinguishing to other used programs in tasks of this type operational research criteria were designed closely with the thought about construction works and about the specificity of the building production. The minimal time, the minimal slack of brigades, the minimal slacks of the chosen working brigade and costs of the transfer operation of working fronts are included in operational research criteria between work centers. It is possible to enter data into the program both by hand as well as to load the Excel from files, similarly is with results, they are presented on-screen as well as a possibility of enrolling them in the existing file Excel. An element is very valid for it since allows for further simple processing of received results. In providing software for performing operational research calculations a technique of the complete review and simulation technology are being exploited. A program describing algorithms is used which will stay in the article as well as shown computational examples will remain.

This paper reports an experimental study on the design of self-compacting lightweight concrete using acidic pumice with different powder materials. For this aim, nine self-compacting lightweight concretes were designed with inclusion of two different fine aggregates and different powder materials. This way, two groups of concrete were designed. First group was composed of single type of aggregate which is acidic pumice from Bitlis Region with barite powder, fly ash powder and pumice powder inclusion, while the second group was generated with river sand as a fine aggregate and acidic pumice from Bitlis Region, as a coarse aggregate with the same powder addition. In the design process, slump-flow, V-funnel and L-box tests were applied to determine the fresh properties of self-compacting lightweight concrete. After the design, test of compressive strength, which is one of the most important parameters of concrete, was applied to all self-compacting lightweight concretes in early age. Moreover, ultrasound pulse velocity test was also performed on all concrete series at the same ages.

The article deals with the method of the inherent noise estimation in each channel of a four channel relax-type magnetometer in general laboratory conditions. The day-long development of ambient magnetic field has been recorded and then the data were processed by correlation methods to separate inherent noises of the channels from ambient noise in the statistically best times. The method is applicable for noise estimation of any multi-channel sensoric system and also for the separation of deterministic and stochastic components of signals.

Current trends in modernization and miniaturization of ferroprobe sensors lead to replacement of amorphous ribbon cores with magnetic microwires. The miniaturization often causes degradation in the parameters of sensors, so, considering measurement of weak magnetic fields, it is necessary to explore noise parameters, temperature drift and stability of the magnetometer output value. The article deals with analysis of microwire sensor noise characteristics based on the experimental data processing. Using one second periodograms, the linear spectral density was processed. Obtained data are compared with corresponding parameters of a relax-type ferroprobe magnetometer.

Usage of marble dust was investigated for soil stabilization in the scope of utilization of waste material. Geotechnical properties, such as compaction, Atterberg limits, unconfined compressive strength of the mixtures and changes of these properties with the marble dust ratio were determined. From the test results it is seen that marble dust increases the mechanical properties of soil and application of dust wastes for soil stabilization will be an efficient practice in terms of solid waste management.

Opis:
Today, computer systems become one of the most important systems in technology and our life. They have a plenty of possible applications but most of them can be described as a transformation of (electrical) energy into useful work = calculations. This process is not so simple as it seems to be because the structure of computers hardware is very complicated and processed tasks are also very complex. Because the expectations of computer users are very high, a lot of computer resources are used only for operating systems normal work. Some existing solutions, especially in the memory system, guarantee that computer systems have acceptable performance but this parameter depends on many important system features. In this paper we will focus on one parameter, namely average disk time s/ transfer, in order to show the complex behavior of this memory system part during man-computer interaction. This is one of the most important counters in computer systems that works under Windows family operating systems and describes measurement related to hard drive based on the complete roundtrip time of any request.

Opis:
In the present study, effects of material non-homogeneity and two-parameter elastic foundation on the fundamental frequency parameters of the simply supported beams are examined. Material non-homogeneity is characterized taking into account the parabolic variations of Young's modulus and density along the thickness direction of the beam while the value of Poisson's ratio is assumed to remain constant. The foundation medium is assumed to be linear, homogeneous and isotropic, and it is modeled by the Pasternak model with two parameters for describing the reaction of the elastic foundation on the beam. At first, the equation of the motion including the effects of the material non-homogeneity and two-parameter elastic foundation is provided. Then, the solutions including fundamental frequency parameters versus various non-homogeneity, density and foundation parameters, and length to depth ratio adopting the Timoshenko beam theory as well as the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory are presented. To show the accuracy of the present results, a comparison is carried out and a good agreement is found.

The purpose of this paper is to declare the results of investigation conducted on design of fibre reinforced self compacting lightweight concrete which has three different concrete technologies, and high temperature effect on it. For this aim, it is desired that production of new kind concrete material composed of fibre reinforced concrete, self compacting concrete and structural lightweight concrete technologies using all their better benefits. In this study, fly ash was used as a powder to reduce Portland cement consumption as well as CO_2 emission through the use of that waste material. A control self compacting concrete and 7 fibre reinforced self compacting lightweight concretes were designed applying slump flow (T50-flowing time and flowing diameter) and V-funnel tests to determine fresh concrete properties. In the design of fibre reinforced self compacting lightweight concrete, both single and hybrid fibre reinforced self compacting lightweight concrete mixes were produced using 1 macro and 1 micro steel fibres in different lengths and aspect ratios. Hybrid fibre reinforced self compacting lightweight concrete mixes were prepared using macro fibres together with micro fibre at three different percentages (50%-50%, 25%-75%, 75%-25%) by weight. After design process, cubic and prismatic concrete specimens were produced to determine hardened properties at standard concrete age. Firstly, flexural tensile and compressive strength tests were performed on the concrete specimens on 28 day. Lastly, the concrete specimens were heated up to temperatures of 200, 400, 600 and 800C then compressive strength and flexural tensile tests were performed to identify high temperature effect comparing to strength test results obtained from standard laboratory conditions. The test results showed that concrete mixes including macro fibres gave the best tensile strength properties, although they gave the worst fresh concrete properties.

This paper reports results of an experimental study of the strength properties of fibre reinforced self-compacting concrete (FRSCC). For this aim, a control self-compacting concrete and 24 FRSCCs were designed, applying fresh self-compacting concrete criteria tests. In the design of FRSCC, four steel and two polypropylene synthetic fibres of different lengths and aspect ratios were used. These fibres were used alone and in combinations with two and four of these fibres. In this way, not only the effect of single fibre and the synergy effect of hybrid fibres, but also the size and concentration effect of fibres, which had different ratios in total fibre volume, were investigated. In the design process, Portland cement and fly ash were used as the binder and the powder material. The compressive and flexural-tensile strength tests were employed at the age of 3, 7, 28, 56 and 90 curing days, to determine the strength properties of FRSCCs. Moreover, ultrasound pulse velocity test was also performed on all concrete series at the same ages.

The purpose of this study is to obtain the dynamic model of an electrical powered wheelchair and to estimate the state variables of right and left DC motor currents with the designed observer. First, the dynamic equations are written and then discrete-time state space model of the electrical powered wheelchair is directly obtained from this dynamic equations. Discrete time state space model of the electrical powered wheelchair is verified with the transfer function obtained using the dynamic equations. In addition, the accuracy of the estimated left and right DC motor current values are validated in the simulation results.
