Соответствующие исследования охватывали послойно склеиваемую буковую древесину предназначенную на выбранные конструкционные мебельные элементы. Целью исследований было определение упругостных свойств этих элементов совместно с определением зависимости между модулями упругости послойно склеиваемых элементов с различным числом слоев, их толщины и направления сгиба. Для достижения указанной цели проводились теоретические исследования с последующей проверкой на основании результатов экспериментальных изысканий. Проведенные анализы показали, что модуль упругости элементов из буковой древесины склеиваемой послойно не зависит от числа слоев ни от вида используемого клея. Примерно так же представляются прочность и деформации.
The respective investigations comprised the beech wood glued by layers, designed for selected constructional furniture elements. The aim of the investigations was to determine elastic properties of the wooden elements jointly with datermination of relationships between the elasticity modules of the by-layer glued elements of different number of layers, their thickness and bending direction. To attain this aim, theoretical investigations were carried out with their subselent verification on the basis of the experimental investigation results. The investigations have proved that the elasticity module of beech wood elements glued by layers does not depend on the number of layers and the glue kind used. Strength and deformations are formed similarly.

Opis:
The diffusive maxima of phonon signals are studied for a number of solid solutions of rare earth atoms in yttrium aluminum garnets. The used exact formula for the diffusion constants allows for qualitative discussion of the obtained results. The established energy of phonons, forming the diffusive maximum of phonon signal of the temperature T$\text{}_{H}$ arriving at the bolometer, ranges from 3.2k$\text{}_{B}$T$\text{}_{H}$ to 4.2k$\text{}_{B}$T$\text{}_{H}$, which is in reasonable agreement with the existing estimations. The qualitative analysis allows us to estimate the contribution, made by the rare earth ions occupying the octahedral positions of the sixfold oxygen coordination, to the scattering of phonons due to lattice imperfections in yttrium aluminum garnets.

Opis:
The paper provides a description of climatic requirements of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) trees from five populations from the Tatra National Park, the Pieniny National Park and the Ojców National Park. Differences in climatic conditions between these parks were reflected in incremental behaviour of pines growing on these sites. The main factors limiting pine radial increments were: in the Tatra Mts. – warm weather in July, in the Pieniny Mts. – winter thermal conditions, while in Ojców – moisture conditions in the spring.

Opis:
This paper compares thermal conditions of the soil in a forest stand and open terrain. Measurements were done in the spruce sawtimber stand and mountain grassland. The both sites are located close to the mountain ridge of Beskid Sądecki in the cold climatic zone at an elevation of 800 m a.s.l., slope 5° exposed to the East. The aim of the study was to describe the specificity of the forest soil thermal microclimate in the spruce stand with strong crown closure and mountain grassland. The paper presents the vertical and horizontal distribution of soil temperature in the summer during the varying weather conditions.

The paper presents research results on the effect of biometrical characteristics of a stand and weather conditions on the dynamics of air and soil temperatures along a vertical profile in the 30 year−old larch and spruce poletimber stands. The both stands of the montane forest type grow in a moderately cold climatic zone at an elevation of 800 m a.s.l., slope 5°, eastern exposition.

Opis:
This study concerned 26 forest stands with Douglas fir situated in Lower Silesia, Great Poland, Pomerania, Warmia and Masuria. Each stand was represented by 24 trees. From each tree an increment core was taken by Pressler’s borer. The principal components analysis showed that the first three principal components accounted for 73% of the variation of chronologies in total. The first principal component was the most convergent with the mean air temperature curve for January–March, the second with the total precipitation for June–August, and the third with the mean temperature for June–August. The first principal component always integrated the chronologies and decided on a similar rhythm of changes in the tree-ring widths. The annual variation of tree-ring widths was also affected by precipitation in summer (June–August), but this differentiated the chronologies. This was reflected by the dispersion of chronologies in respect to the eigenvectors of the second principal component. The third principal component also differentiated the chronologies. Separate groups were formed by the most eastern and the most western localities of the territory under investigations. Thus the Douglas fir growth reactions were mainly affected by the thermal and pluvial conditions of summer and, to a lesser, degree by the thermal conditions of winter. On the basis of these results it was possible to distinguish the dendroclimatically homogeneous regions in western and northern Poland.
