- The perfection of the man is associated with culture which is a way of human existence. This is being accomplished in the aspect of science, morality and art. However, the accidental continuation of the above mentioned activities initiates the subject discussed by them without giving any solution. Therefore, religion becomes its focus, leading along the road of sanctification to the Absolute, which is the unchangeable Truth, Good and Beauty. The religious cult is manifested by prayer and sacrifice. The liturgy is the extreme form of the relationship between the man and God in Christianity and “it acquires more dignity when it is combined with singing” (Musicam sacram). Therefore, the clarification of the relation of cult with culture and of culture with cult requires an explanation what cult and what culture is, in the first place. Then, it has to be indicated that the juxtaposition of cult with culture is not accidental but necessary. Eventually, a reflection of the Holy Father’s John Paul 2nd saying that “the culture originating from the faith is a task to accomplish, it is a tradition which must be maintained and transmitted” must be undertaken.
