Posiadanie możliwości przemieszczania sił w celu podjęcia pełnego zakresu funkcji i zadań jest kluczowe dla zapewnienia efektywności przyszłych operacji narodowych i wielonarodowych. Zdolność do transportu i ruchu wojsk dotyczy całego zakresu zadań Sił Zbrojnych RP, w obecnym i przewidywanym środowisku bezpieczeństwa. Celem artykułu jest identyfikacja zasad oraz procedur przemieszczania wojsk Sił Zbrojnych RP po drogach publicznych w czasie pokoju.
    The transport and the movement of forces are the elements of all sorts of the armed forces activities. The movement control plays a significant role in the command and control (C2) process. It is an integral part of C2 process and it consists of planning, organizing, leadership and control realised by a set of forces using all available resources for assuring the safe, efficient and economical movement. The ability of forces movement, in order to fulfil the whole spectrum of their functions and tasks, is crucial for the efficiency of future national and multinational operations. The ability of transport and movement regards the whole set of the Polish Armed Forces tasks in both contemporary and expected security environment. The aim of this paper is to identify the rules and procedures of the Polish Armed Forces movement on the public roads in the peacetime.

    Recent organisational and hardware changes regarding the signal troops’ logistic elements were imposed by the emergence of new generation equipment, new communication means, and the automation of command and control processes performed within the frame of a command post. Lessons learned from military exercises show some particular differences between the command post logistic support and the combat troops logistic support at tactical level.

    Ekonomia instytucjonalna pojawiła się w Stanach Zjednoczonych już ponad sto lat temu. Amerykańscy ekonomiści w odróżnieniu od europejskich w małym stopniu koncentrowali uwagę na rozważaniach teoretycznych, natomiast intensywniej skupiali się na wyciąganiu wniosków, które mogły mieć praktyczne zastosowanie w polityce gospodarczej. Logistyka w ujęciu instytucjonalnym wiąże się z aspektem organizacyjnej integracji działań (czynności) logistycznych, a w gospodarce narodowej funkcjonuje w postaci kilku strategii. Głównymi wyznacznikami jej działania są zespoły metod i teorii, które odgrywają w logistyce istotną rolę. Celem artykułu jest rozpoznanie i analiza wpływu ekonomicznych determinant funkcjonowania logistyki w gospodarce narodowej w ujęciu ekonomii instytucjonalnej. Głównym problemem badawczym artykułu jest próba znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie: „Jakie ekonomiczne determinanty decydują o funkcjonowaniu logistyki w gospodarce narodowej?”.
    Institutional economics appeared in the United States over a hundred years ago. American economists, unlike European economists, focused their attention to a small extent on theoretical considerations, while they focused more intensively on drawing certain conclusions that would have practical application in economic policy. In institutional terms, logistics is associated with the aspect of the organizational integration of logistic activities, and in the national economy it functions according to several strategies. The main determinants of its operation are sets of methods and theories, which play an important role in logistics. The aim of the article is to identify and analyze the impact of economic determinants of logistics functioning in the national economy in the approach of institutional economy. The main research problem of the article is an attempt to answer the question: "What economic determinants determine the functioning of logistics in the national economy?".

    Transport żywności głęboko mrożonej i chłodzonej w dzisiejszych czasach nie sprawia większych trudności. Nie ma problemu transportowego z sezonowością produktów, jednak ze względu na ich organoleptyczne funkcje stosuje się głębokie mrożenie w zimnym łańcuchu dostaw. Zachowanie zimnego łańcucha dostaw ma wpływ, na jakość żywności, którą konsumujemy. Żywność głęboko mrożona długo utrzymuje swoją świeżość oraz walory smakowe. Transport żywności drogą powietrzną zapewniony jest poprzez użycie suchego lodu, który jest doskonałym chłodziwem. Dzięki niemu transport odbywa się w kontrolowanych warunkach w stałej temperaturze. Łańcuch chłodniczy to zachowanie odpowiednich i niezmiennych warunków w jakich muszą znajdować się głęboko mrożone i chłodzone produkty żywnościowe. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie całej złożoności procesu transportowego artykułów chłodzonych i mrożonych z zachowaniem zimnego łańcucha dostaw w transporcie lotniczym. Pokazanie różnorodności infrastruktury, która determinuje sprawność procesu przewozowego oraz rolę osób uczestniczących w łańcuchu dostaw.
    These days transporting deep-frozen and chilled food does not cause any problems. There is no transport problem with seasonality products, however, due to their organoleptic functions, deep freezing in a cold supply chain is applied. Maintaining a cold supply chain affects the quality of the food we consume. Deep-frozen food maintains its freshness and taste for a long time. Food transport by air is provided by the use of dry ice, which is an excellent coolant. Thanks to it, transport takes place under controlled conditions at a constant temperature. The cold chain means maintaining the proper and unchanging conditions in which deep frozen and cooled food products must stay. The aim of this paper is to presents transport documents, infrastructure and air transport units. The article shows what hygiene and sanitary conditions should be maintained for this type of food.

    Handel w Polsce od wielu lat podlega dynamicznym zmianom. Duży wpływ na taki stan rzeczy miał ima coraz większy dostęp do Internetu, a co za tym idzie, pojawienie się nowych możliwości dotyczących zawierania transakcji handlowych z pominięciem bezpośredniego kontaktu sprzedającego i klienta. Ułatwienia związane ze sprzedażą i kupnem to nie jedyne zalety odgrywającego coraz większą rolę e-handlu (e-commerce). Wraz ze zwiększającą się liczbą transakcji dynamiczny rozwój notuje logistyka, bez której żaden rodzaj handlu nie mógłby istnieć. Mowa jest tu zarówno o transporcie dóbr, jak i przepływie informacji, które dzięki wykorzystaniu Internetu błyskawicznie docierają od sprzedawcy do klienta. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie rozwoju e-commerce w latach 2010–2019 wynikającego z możliwości związanych z wykorzystaniem Internetu. Głównym problemem badawczym artykułu jest próba znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie: „Czy rozwój e-commerce ma wpływ na współczesną logistykę?”.
    Trade in Poland has been changing dynamically for many years. This state of affairs was largely influenced by the increasing access to the Internet, and hence the emergence of new opportunities for concluding commercial transactions without direct contact between the seller and the customer. Facilitations related to selling and buying are not the only advantages of the increasingly important e-commerce. Along with the increasing number of transactions, the dynamic development is noted in logistics, without which no type of trade could exist. It is about both the transport of goods and the flow of information that, thanks to the use of the Internet, quickly reach the customer from the seller. The aim of the article is to present the development of e-commerce in 2010–2019 resulting from the possibilities of using the Internet. The main research problem of the article is an attempt to answer the question: "Does the development of e-commerce affect modern logistics?".

    The aim of the research is to check, verify and assess the state of the state’s transport infrastructure to ensure military mobility. The study contains research results on the impact of the state’s transport infrastructure on the mobility and freedom of movement of troops within the territory of Poland. The research focused on identifying infrastructural barriers limiting the movement of military equipment with increased dimensions and own weight, requiring increased load-bearing capacity of engineering facilities as one of the important determinants affecting Poland’s military security.

    The article presents the issues related to the learning of technical subjects within distance learning. The author started by outlining the scope of regulations in force at technical universities and introduced by the Rector for the duration of the pandemic. Their aim was to standardize the methods of education as well as the rules of organizing credits and examinations remotely. Examples of learning outcomes necessary to be achieved by students as a result of completing the metrology course are also presented. They were divided into three groups: knowledge, skills and competences, emphasizing unequivocally the effects that in the case of only the remote form of education may be difficult to achieve by the participants of the above-mentioned course. Then, the applied forms of teaching metrology were presented, emphasizing their usefulness and paying attention to the risks in the context of the content transmitted in a remote form. The last part of the article contains a summary of the results obtained by students of two different faculties in the last five years. The analyzed period of time covered the four years before the SARS-CoV-2 epidemic, and the last year where education and credits were conducted remotely.
    W artykule przedstawiono problematykę związaną z nauką przedmiotów technicznych w ramach kształcenia zdalnego. Autor wyszedł od nakreślenia zakresu rozporządzeń obowiązujących na uczelniach technicznych, a wprowadzonych przez rektora na czas pandemii. Celem ich było unormowanie metod kształcenia, jak i zasad organizacji zaliczeń i egzaminów w formie zdalnej. Przedstawiono także przykładowe efekty kształcenia konieczne do osiągnięcia przez studentów w efekcie odbycia kursu metrologii. Dokonano ich podziału na trzy grupy: wiedza, umiejętności i kompetencje, podkreślając jednoznacznie efekty, które w przypadku jedynie zdalnej formy edukacji mogą być trudne do osiągnięcia (w 100%) przez uczestników wyżej wymienionego kursu. Następnie przedstawiono zastosowane formy kształcenia metrologii wielkości geometrycznych, podkreślając ich przydatność, jak i zwracając uwagę na zagrożenia w kontekście przekazywanych treści w formie zdalnej. W ostatniej części artykułu zamieszczono zestawienie wyników zaliczeń uzyskanych przez studentów dwóch różnych kierunków w okresie ostatnich pięciu lat. Analizowany okres czasu obejmował cztery lata przed epidemią SARS-CoV-2 i ostatni rok - w którym edukacja, jak i zaliczenia prowadzone były w formie zdalnej. Artykuł kończy podsumowanie, w którym przedstawiono wnioski z pierwszego pełnego roku pracy z wykorzystaniem dostępnych narzędzi w systemie zdalnej edukacji obejmującej przedmioty techniczne.

    Sensem, istotą, logiką funkcjonowania dobrej logistyki jest potrzeba i konieczność w działaniu logistycznym utrzymania równowagi między oczekiwaniami zadowolonych klientów z funkcjonowania firmy a podejmowaniu przez firmy radykalnych, innowacyjnych zmian aby polepszyć system zarządzania firmą, utrzymać renomę i konkurencyjność na rynku. Ich wysiłki odzwierciedlone i ujęte są właśnie w niniejszym artykule, a jego treści odzwierciedlają następujące podtytuły: • znaczenie potrzeby istnienie dobrej, konkurencyjnej logistyki na wolnym rynku; • warunki skutecznego zarządzania logistyką; • logistyka siłą napędową wszelkiego działania. Niniejsze zagadnienia rozpatrywane są w kontekście specyfiki i złożoności logistyki wynikającej z wielowymiarowości potrzeb podmiotów, których brak, m.in. skuteczności i elastyczności w działaniu, nie zapewnia konkurencyjności, rentowności działania i istnienia podmiotu oraz pozwala osiągnąć cele. Autorzy biorąc to pod uwagę rozważają wpływ warunków (zasad) głównie skutecznego zarządzania na jakość organizacji i realizacji zadań wsparcia zabezpieczenia logistycznego zapewniających spełnienie oczekiwań klientów i osiągnięcie założonych zysków firmy. Artykuł kończy się wnioskami, postulatami i refleksjami co do potrzeby i znaczenia pozyskiwania nowych i poprawiania i wdrażania potrzebnych zasad (warunków) skutecznego działania logistyk. A wszystko to w odniesieniu do działalności zapewniającej potrzeby i pragnienia oczekujących klientów i firm.
    The need and the necessity of the balance is the point, the essence and the logic of a good functioning logistics. This balance has to be maintained between satisfied customers’ expectations and the radical and innovative improvements implemented by the companies. These improvements’ goals are: the development of management system along with company’s renown and competitiveness sustainment. The companies’ efforts in this matter have been described in this paper. Its content is divided into following parts: • the importance of a good and competitive logistics in the free market; • the conditions of effective logistic management; • the logistics as a driving force for all activities. The issues above are considered in the context of the specifics and the complexity of the logistics. The logistics is complex and specific due to the multidimensionality of the actors’ needs. The lack of effectiveness and flexibility of these actors makes them uncompetitive and unprofitable and does not allow to achieve their goals. The authors, taking mentioned facts into account, consider the influence of the effective management conditions (rules) on the organization quality and on the logistic support tasks fulfilment which ensure meeting the customers’ expectations and achieving presumed profit. The paper is summarised by the conclusions, reflections and postulates regarding the need and the importance of implementing new and developing already functioning rules (conditions) of the effective logistics. All these conclusions and postulates refer to the activities performed in order to fulfil the customers’ and the companies’ needs and requirements.

    W artykule zaprezentowano nowoczesny, prototypowy system AutoInvent pozwalający na automatyzację procesu inwentaryzacji zasobów mineralnych poprzez wykonywanie pomiaru objętości składowisk z wykorzystaniem bezzałogowego statku powietrznego. W celu zwiększenia dokładności danych zastosowano fuzję innowacyjnych technologii pomiarowych: skanowania laserowego 3D i fotogrametrii z niskiego pułapu oraz integrację dwóch metod precyzyjnego pozycjonowania: pomiary satelitarne GNSS wspomagane poprawkami sieciowymi RTK oraz precyzyjne laserowe pomiary tachimetryczne. Automatyzacja procesu pomiarowego zwiększa bezpieczeństwo mierniczych górniczych oraz skraca czas potrzebny na prace w terenie poprzez ograniczenie konieczności przebywania ludzi na zwałowisku.     The article presents a prototype of a modern system called AutoInvent, that allows for the automation of the mineral resources inventory process by measuring the volume of stacks using an unmanned aerial vehicle. In order to increase the accuracy of the data, a fusion of innovative measurement technologies was used: 3D laser scanning and lowaltitude photogrammetry, as well as the integration of two methods of precise positioning: GNSS satellite measurements supported by RTK network corrections and precise laser total station measurements. Automation of the measurement process increases the safety of mining surveyors and shortens the time needed for field work by reducing the need for people to be personally present on the stack. The project co-financed by European Union from European Regional Development Fund within the Smart Growth operational Programme 2014-2020. The project carried out within National Centre for Research and Development call: INNOSBZ.

    The distribution of maximum rainfall level is not a homogeneous phenomenon and is often characterised by multimodality and often the phenomenon of the heavy right-hand tail. Modelling this phenomenon using classic probability distributions leads to ignoring multimodality, thus underestimating or overestimating the predicted values in the tail tails – the most important from the point of view of safe dimensioning of drainage systems. To avoid the difficulties mentioned above, a non-parametric kernel estimator method of maximum precipitation density function was used (in the example of rainfall data from a selected station in Poland). The methodology proposed in the paper (for use on any rainfall data from other meteorological stations) will allow the development of more reliable local models of maximum precipitation.

    Objective. To relate the authors’ experience to the diagnosis and follow-up of patients with benign paroxysmal vertigo of childhood (BPV) who were followed-up at the Children’s Hospital of Bydgoszcz between 1999 and 2004, and to review and discuss controversial issues regarding the disease. Methods. Among 124 children suffering from vertigo 14 were classified as having BPV. All the children were submitted to differential diagnosis protocol which consisted of meticulous history, otolaryngological, ophthalmological, psychological, neurological examination, biochemical tests and standard neurootological examination including caloric tests. The children were followed-up and the tests were repeated if no improvement was observed. Results. All the children suffered from episodic vertigo of variable intensity and frequency. All of them were neurologically intact. In 8 patients pathologic ENG results were found, only 1 patient with canal paresis could be considered as having peripheral lesion, 7 patients had central/mixed pathology. The follow-up was favorable in majority of patients. Six of them recovered completely, in 6 an improvement was noted and in 2 no improvement was observed. Three patients after remission of BPV attacks developed migraine. One child before development of BPV attacks suffered from paroxysmal torticollis of infancy. Conclusions. Childhood BPV is a disorder of vestibular system with the onset occurring mainly in preschoolers aged 1–7. Older children with the onset of BPV - like symptoms should be suspected for functional background of the disease. There are no typical ENG features for BPV. The only objective evidence of vestibular dysfunction is the presence of nystagmus during the attack. The disease is probably of vascular origin and there is strong evidence for close relationship between spasmodic torticollis, BPV and migraine.

    The progress of digitization and the development of new technologies undoubtedly bring many benefits. However, they can also create or deepen problems related to the social exclusion of certain groups of people, such as the elderly, for whom modern technology is still largely unavailable, and even arouses a sense of uncertainty and fear (the so-called technophobia). The consequences of such a phenomenon become particularly evident in the situation of social isolation, whose unprecedented dimension is currently observed in the so-called COVID-19 pandemic era. In particular, the occurrence of the phenomenon of social exclusion combined with a pandemic situation has contributed to the development of the assumptions of the project entitled “Developing the cognitive capabilities of older people through information technology.” This project was developed by the INNOVATOR Student Science Club at the Faculty of Organization and Management of the Silesian University of Technology, and its goal is to develop a tool to support the acquisition of competences by seniors in the field of technological content, operation of electronic devices and the implementation of daily and routine activities using the Internet, e.g. shopping via the Internet or using tele advice services. The proposed tool is also to support the stimulation of the development of cognitive abilities of seniors using e.g. logical games. In the course of project implementation, a survey will be conducted in selected Nursing Homes, Retirement Homes, online forums for the elderly and through direct contact, the results of which will allow to learn the needs and possibilities of developing the abilities of the examined people, and assess the effectiveness of the designed tool in the process of transferring content and shaping competences. An element encouraging seniors to participate in the planned research will be their active participation in lectures and/or talks, workshops and discussions. The assumed result of the project will be to reduce the negative effects of isolation of seniors, improve their communication with their loved ones and reduce the generation gap. A complementary research task will be to develop a way to assess project results in qualitative and, where possible, quantitative dimensions.

    We present an optical signal coupling scheme for slab waveguide surface grating coupler sensors. The proposed solution is based on the use of polymer microlenses. In this work we analyze two types of compact polymer lenses: the aspheric plano-convex lenses and Fresnel lenses. The feasibility of the proposed scheme is demonstrated by the experimental investigation into the optical signal coupling to the test structure of TiO2-SiO2 slab waveguide surface grating coupler using both types of lenses.
