Opis:
A novel type of pulsed electromagnetic actuator is presented and modelled. Its plunger consists of two cylindrical parts made of classical magnetic material and permanent magnet, respectively. Its motion is controlled by short current pulses of the prescribed amplitude. The paper starts with the definition of the technical problem and formulation of its mathematical model. This model is then solved numerically and the whole methodology is illustrated by a typical example, whose results are discussed.

In the article, analysis of the work conditions and the metrological characteristics of the air gauges dedicated for the roundness assessment is described. To reach the required accuracy of the acquired data, the phenomena of gas dynamics had to be analyzed in the whole flow through elements of the air gauge. A model based on the second critical parameters was used, because it reflects the true processes of the air flow. As a result, fast and accurate simulations provided series of the characteristics to be considered. Nevertheless, the chosen air gauge configuration underwent the experimental verification of its metrological characteristics. Finally, the entire measurement system Geoform with the gauge head based on the chosen air gauges underwent the accuracy test in order to make sure of its overall measurement quality.

In the article, the authors analyze and discuss several models used to the calculation of air gauge characteristics. The model based on the actual mass flow (which is smaller than the theoretical one) was proposed, too. Calculations have been performed with a dedicated software with the second critical parameters included. The air gauge static characteristics calculated with 6 different models were compared with the experimental data. It appeared that the second critical parameters model (SCP) provided the characteristics close to the experimental ones, with an error of ca. 3% within the air gauge measuring range.

A high pressure resonator transducer (0 to 100 MPa) devised by the author has been described. The elastic element of the converter consists of a cylinder with an offset arranged axis hole. Quartz resonators were used for the measurement of deformations of the pipe. Based upon the results of the transducer testing, a new algorithmic method for the minimizalizsation of the temperature error, that eliminates the need for a temperature gauge has been worked out.

This short document describes results of calculations static characteristics of turbogenerator. The calculations were based on the two-dimensional, field-circuit model of turbogenerator. In computation process no-load characteristic, short-circuit characteristic and V-curves were calculated. In this document problems with magnetization curves field-circuit model was considered. Characteristics based on calculations were compared with manufacturer data. This comparison show that the two-dimensional, field-circuit model of turbogenerator is correct.

Opis:
The issue assign of static characteristics of switched reluctance machines with using finite element method and experimental tests are described in the present work. Computation with using ANSYS software are made for four work out SRM constructions (12/8, 8/6, 6/4, and 4/2). Analysis of magnetic field for discusses SRM models are presented. Characteristics of electromagnetic torque, magnetic flux and inductance coil coefficients as a function current and rotor position angle are also shown. There are presented the results of experimental tests of described machines. Experimental tests are made on laboratory stand with card DS 1104. There are presented conclusion too.

The paper presents definitions and relative measures of the system sensitivity and sensitivity of its errors. The model of a real system and model of an ideal measuring system were introduced. It allows to determine the errors of the system. The paper presents also how to use the error sensitivity analysis carried out on the models of the measuring system to the correction of the nonlinearity error of its static characteristic. The corrective function is determined as a relation between the input variable of the tested system and its chosen parameter. The use of the proposed method has been presented on the example of a phase angle modulator. The obtained results have been compared with the results of analytic calculations. The idea of a phase angle modulator is also presented.

Opis:
Wyznaczanie charakterystyk statycznych procesu wzbogacania w przemysłowych maszynach flotacyjnym jest zagadnieniem trudnym ze względu na wpływ wielu parametrów na przebieg procesu. Przyjmuje się, że parametrem który zawiera informacje o czynnikach wpływających na proces jest współczynnik prędkości flotacji k ziaren, charakteryzujący sie określonym rozkładem flotowalności ziaren f(k). Funkcję tego typu uzyskuje się na podstawie przebiegu kinetyki wydzielania się masy składników nadawy w procesie flotacji cyklicznej. Wyznaczenie funkcji f(k) realizowane jest pośrednio poprzez model matematyczny przebiegu kinetyki flotacji m(t). Wyznaczone parametry modelu kinetyki są równocześnie parametrami modelu funkcji gęstości rozkładu flotowalności ziaren węgla. Na podstawie wcześniejszych prac autorzy wykazali, że model rozkładu trójkątnego funkcji f(k) dobrze charakteryzuje niejednorodność nadawy. Korzystając z rozkładu flotowalności ziaren można wyznaczyć rozkład zawartości popiołu w zależności od zmian współczynnika prędkości flotacji. Na podstawie tych zależności można wyznaczyć charakterystyki statyczne flotownika przepływowego. W artykule wyznaczono charakterystyki statyczne jednokomorowego i wielokomorowego flotownika przepływowego. Otrzymane na podstawie badań symulacyjnych charakterystyki statyczne wychodu koncentratu i zawartości popiołu w koncentracie w zależności od zmian natężenia dopływu powietrza, są zbieżne do charakterystyk wyznaczonych, przez autorów, na podstawie badań flotowników przemysłowych. Znajomość charakterystyk gęstości rozkładu frakcji wraz z rozkładem zawartości popiołu umożliwi lepszą ocenę zjawisk zachodzących w procesie wzbogacania. Wyznaczone na podstawie tych modeli charakterystyki statyczne przepływowych flotowników jedno i wielokomorowych mogą być wykorzystywane w projektowaniu systemów sterowania procesu flotacji kopalin.
Determining the static characteristics of the enrichment process in industrial flotation machines is a difficult problem because of the influence of many parameters on the process. It is assumed that a parameter which contains information about the factors affecting the process is the velocity coefficient k of the flotation particles. This parameter is characterized by distribution of the particles flotability f(k). The function of this type is obtained based on the course of the kinetics of the mass feed components in the batch flotation process. Determining a function f (k) is carried out indirectly by a mathematical model based on the course of flotation kinetics m(t). The determined parameters of the kinetics model are also the parameters of the model of the distribution density function of the coal particles flotability. Based on previous works has been shown that the feed heterogeneity can be well characterized by the model of the triangular distribution function f (k). Using the distribution of the particles flotability it can determine the distribution of the ash content depending on changes of the coefficient of the flotation velocity. On the basis of these dependencies can be determined the static characteristics of the flow flotation machine. The static characteristics of single and multi-chamber of the flow flotation machine in the paper have been presented. Obtained on the basis of simulation the static characteristics of the concentrate recovery and ash content in the concentrate depending on changes in the intensity of the air are similar to the characteristics determined by the authors based on the research of the industrial flotation machines. Knowledge of the characteristics of the density of the fractions distribution together with the distribution of ash content will allow a better assessment of the phenomena occurring in the enrichment process. The static characteristics of the single and multi-chamber flotation flow machines determined on the basis of these models can be used in the design of systems of the process control of the minerals flotation.

This article describes the measurement system designed in order to determine the metrological properties of air gauges. The said scientific study makes it possible to determine the static pk = f(s) and flow qv = f(s) characteristics. It consists of three modules: a mechanical module, a control and register data module and a special software module. Apart from the possibility of determining the static and flow characteristics, the presented study makes it possible to measure the temperature in the duct that supplies the compressed air to the transducer as well as in the measuring chamber. The above-mentioned measurement system makes it possible to determine the pressure applied on the surface measured by an air stream coming from the nozzle. Apart from a detailed description of a test station and the software, the article also contains sample results of tests performed on air gauges.

Opis:
The 8-lobe journal bearings have found application in the bearing systems of spindles of grinding machines. The design of bearings and the large number of lobes and oil grooves assures good cooling conditions of bearing. These bearings can be manufactured as the bearings with cylindrical, non-continuous operating surfaces separated by six lubricating grooves, bearings with the pericycloidal shape of the bearing bore, and as offset journal bearing. This paper presents the results of the computation of static characteristics of an offset 8-lobe journal bearing operating under the conditions of an aligned axis of journal and bush, adiabatic oil film, and at the static equilibrium position of journal. Different values of bearing length to diameter ratio, relative clearance, and lobe relative clearance were assumed. Reynolds' energy and viscosity equations were solved by means of an iterative procedure. Adiabatic oil film, laminar flow in the bearing gap, and aligned orientation of journal in the bearing were considered.
Łożyska ślizgowe 8-powierzchniowe stosowane są w układach łożyskowania wrzecion szlifierek. Konstrukcja tych łożysk i znaczna liczba powierzchni ślizgowych oraz rowków smarowych zapewniają dobre warunki chłodzenia. Łożyska te mogą być wykonywane z segmentami o powierzchni kołowej, zarysie nieciągłym lub ciągłym; z przesuniętymi segmentami, a powierzchnie ślizgowe są oddzielone rowkami smarowymi. Artykuł przedstawia obliczenia charakterystyk statycznych łożysk 8-powierzchniowych z przesuniętymi segmentami pracujących w warunkach równoległych osi czopa i panewki i statycznego położenia równowagi czopa. Założono różne wartości względnej długości łożyska, luzu łożyskowego i względnego luzu segmentu. Równanie Reynoldsa, energii i lepkości rozwiązano metodą różnic skończonych autorskim kodem numerycznym. Przyjęto adiabatyczny i laminarny model przepływu środka smarowego w szczelinie smarowej.

Opis:
The isothermal and non-isothermal characteristics of silicon carbide Schottky diodes in the wide range of currents and ambient temperatures are investigated in this paper. The measurements of the diodes characteristics have been performed with the use of a pulse method, with fast registration of measurement points after the diode current turning on, or with the use of a fully static method, in which the self-heating phenomenon is taken into account. Apart from the measurements, the series of numerical experiments, giving the isothermal and non-isothermal characteristics as a result, were executed. The complex, accurate numerical procedures as well as simplified analytical calculations were implemented. A good conformity of all calculation and measurement results have been obtained. In the presented investigations, for relatively high currents and ambient temperatures, the influence of self-heating on the SiC Schottky diodes static characteristics is significant. The large (even 4 V for the ambient temperature 300.C ) values of voltages corresponding to the nominal diode currents have been observed.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań symulacyjnych polegających na wyznaczeniu charakterystyk statycznych dla typoszeregu cylindrycznych odbojnic. Wykonano dyskretyzację elementami skończonymi modelu geometrycznego przekroju odbojnicy cylindrycznej z uwzględnieniem własności hiperelastycznych materiału i zjawisk kontaktowych. Przedstawiono deformacje oraz charakterystyki otrzymane z obliczeń numerycznych i eksperymentów.
The paper presents the results of simulation research based on static characteristics determination for the type series of cylindrical fenders. The discretization by finite elements of geometrical model of cylindrical fender plane section was performed, taking into account hyperelastic elements and contact phenomena. The deformations and curves of the characteristics achieved in numerical calculations and experimental method is presented.
