Opis:
W artykule przedstawiono przetwornik impulsowo-kodowy o wybieralnej rozdzielczości i charakterystyce statycznej opisanej funkcją pierwiastka kwadratowego. Przeanalizowano możliwości i koszty jego realizacji na bazie układów FPGA oraz porównano jego właściwości i koszty realizacji z przetwornikiem zbudowanym z wykorzystaniem pamięci stałej ROM.
In the paper an impulse-code converter with selected number bit of output signal with square-root transform function is presented. There are analyzed two methods of realization this type of function converter (on FPGA and ROM) and an estimation of costs both implementations is compared.

Opis:
At the plants’ exposal to abiotic stress, organic acids, including citric acid, are exuded through their roots. Previous studies have suggested that the exogenous application of citric acid increases antioxidant activity within the plant. Thus, we postulated that organic acids released into the surroundings during times of environmental stress may function as signaling molecules to increase antioxidant enzyme activity. To gain further insight into this phenomenon, we identified individual organic acids exuded from the roots of leafy vegetables under drought stress. We then analyzed enzyme activity and the root/shoot lengths of seedlings after treatment with the types of organic acids found to be exuded from the studied leafy vegetables, including acetic, citric, lactic, and tartaric acids. There was a significant increase in catalase and ascorbate peroxidase enzyme activity in Napa cabbage (Brassica rapa var. pekinensis) after exogenous citric acid application. Root lengths of cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) and Napa cabbage seedlings were significantly longer in citric and lactic acids pretreated seedlings compared to those of the control. The above results support the conclusion that exogenous application of citric acid alleviates drought stress. However, there is insufficient evidence to prove that organic acids act as signaling molecules to prime neighboring plants for upcoming stress.

Przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów nacisków powierzchniowych korzeni marchwi przy ściskaniu promieniowym z uwzględnieniem czynnika czasu dla trzech wartości odkształcenia próbki. Otrzymane wyniki porównano z wartościami teoretycznymi obliczonymi w oparciu o wzory Hertz'a. W trakcie procesu relaksacji, trwającego 1200s, wartości nacisków powierzchniowych redukują się od 56-68% w zależności od poziomu wstępnego odkształcenia próbki. Badania wykazały, że wartości nacisków powierzchniowych, obliczone w oparciu o wzory Hertz'a, są nawet 3-krotnie wyższe od wartości doświadczalnych.
The work presents the measurement results for carrot root surface pressure values during radial compression, taking into account the time factor for three sample deformation values. The obtained results were compared to theoretical values computed on the basis of Hertz's formulas. During relaxation process lasting 1200s, surface pressure values are reduced from 56-68%, depending on an initial sample deformation level. The research has proven that surface pressure values computed according to Hertz's formulas are even 3 times higher than empirical values.

Let P(z,β) be the Poisson kernel in the unit disk , and let $P_{λ}f(z) = ʃ_{∂} P(z,φ)^{1//2+λ} f(φ)dφ$ be the λ -Poisson integral of f, where $f ∈ L^p(∂)$. We let $P_{λ}f$ be the normalization $P_{λ}f//P_{λ}1$. If λ >0, we know that the best (regular) regions where $P_{λ}f$ converges to f for a.a. points on ∂ are of nontangential type. If λ =0 the situation is different. In a previous paper, we proved a result concerning the convergence of $P_0f$ toward f in an $L^p$ weakly tangential region, if $f ∈ L^p(∂)$ and p > 1. In the present paper we will extend the result to symmetric spaces X of rank 1. Let f be an $L^p$ function on the maximal distinguished boundary K/M of X. Then $P_{0}f(x)$ will converge to f(kM) as x tends to kM in an $L^p$ weakly tangential region, for a.a. kM ∈ K/M.

Opis:
This article deals with the first hitting times of a Bessel process to a square-root boundary. We obtain the explicit form of the distribution function of the hitting time by means of zeros of the confluent hypergeometric function with respect to the first parameter. In deducing the distribution function, the time that a radial Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process reaches a certain point is very useful and plays an important role. We also give its distribution function in the case that the starting point is closer to the origin than the arrival site.

This paper focuses on finding the diagnostic criteria that evaluate the pneumatic cylinder and detect the defects. Several undamaged cylinders were tested by acoustic emission before artificial defects were created in each one. The signals from the progress and retreat strokes were recorded and analysed into many parameters. The differences were identified by comparing the max root mean square from sensor A and the max root mean square from sensor B for one cycle in the retreat stroke. The damaged and undamaged cylinders were distinguished using the difference in energy values present in the signals of the two sensors in the retreat stroke. This paper is a continuation of a prior article and the extension of my work.
Przedstawiona w opracowaniu analiza miała na celu określenie dokładności w systemie oceny stosowanym przy badaniu złączy spawanych metodą ultradźwiękową z zastosowaniem techniki DGS. Podjęto próbę wyznaczenia reflektora odniesienia DDSR jako funkcji grubości badanego materiału. Wyznaczony reflektor pozwolił na ocenę czułości reflektorów odniesienia przyjętych wg normy PN-EN ISO 17640.

Opis:
This paper presents the way of identifying the influence of the tolerance of model pumps (TYPE 3PWR-SE) construction on the total efficiency. The identification of sensitive control dimensions (Value / Tolerance) of examined pumps has been made by means of the multi-valued logic and inductive decision trees. In order to confirm the obtained results, multiple-valued logic trees have been used in the paper according to algorithms for the minimization of individual logic functions. What is more, a specific monotonicity of values of the most key parameters has been determined for the investigated set of pumps having individual specification numbers.
