Hybrid war represents one of the most used terms in the area of military and security affairs in the last years, especially after the outbreak of conflict in Ukraine. It appears still more frequently not only in scientific or specialized military or security publications, studies or articles, but also in various journals, news, reports or debates out of military or security community. It might be seemed that it is a new term or even new type of conflict, but it is not. Hybrid war is really no new phenomenon, it is known for many years; however, after the Russian annexation of Crimea, it is much more popular and used. On the other hand, the majority of wider public do not know what the mentioned term exactly represents, and that is the reason why an author of the article deals with this topic and, through gained results of the research, tries to explain the essence of examined problem.

Artykuł podejmuje kwestię percepcji pojęcia przedsiębiorstwa hybrydowego wśród praktyków oraz wpływu praktyk hybrydowych na funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstw. W tekście zestawiono pojęcie przedsiębiorstwa hybrydowego występujące w literaturze przedmiotu z wynikami badań pilotażowych przeprowadzonych wśród kadry menedżerskiej średniego szczebla. Wyniki badań wskazują na relatywnie słabą znajomość pojęcia przedsiębiorstwa hybrydowego wśród praktyków oraz wyraźne jego utożsamianie ze sposobem organizacji pracy pracowników. Badani menedżerowie w większości hybrydowość działania traktowali jako zjawisko zewnętrznie wymuszone, a nie samodzielną wewnętrzną decyzję. Docelowo nie byli zainteresowani rozszerzaniem zakresu działań hybrydowych, a raczej utrzymaniem aktualnego stanu, mimo że jako główną zaletę wprowadzenia rozwiązań hybrydowych wskazali możliwość redukcji kosztów oraz możliwości lepszego wykorzystania potencjału.
The article focuses on how the practitioners perceive the term ‘hybrid enterprise’ and on the impact of hybrid practices on organizational performance. The text makes a broad overview of the semantic field and meanings associated with the term ‘hybrid enterprise’ in subject-matter literature and discusses the results of questionnaire-based surveys conducted on a sample of 31 people. These results confirm the initial assumptions about the difficulty in unambiguously defining the concept of a hybrid enterprise and the fact that practitioners are relatively little familiar with the term.

Despite the fact that the hybrid wars were conducted for centuries, the annexation of the Crimea and the involvement of the Russian Federation in the conflict in the Ukraine calls new discussions over its essence. Evaluation of the theory and practice of the activities carried out by FR indicates that we are dealing with the new generation of war. However, it is not in contradiction with the "Clausewitzian paradigm" of conducting armed struggle, which says that war is merely a continuation of politics by other means. The hybrid actions refer precisely to these measures, whereas the rules of warfare, its nature and objectives are still the same.

This article presents the advantages of hybrid approach to the support decision making by analyzing three areas of business decision problems, solved by combination of well-known algorithms into the new hybrid constructions: cascade optimization hybrid, parallel classification hybrid and hybrid multicomponent attribute selection. Each of them solved a different problem: the cascade optimization hybrid allowed for finding an extreme of a composite objective function, the parallel classification hybrid was used to choose a proper class through voting, the multicomponent attribute selection robustly chose significant decision variables. A hybrid approach to the problem of supporting the decision making processes is more effective than using each of the component methods alone, even for the sophisticated ones. A combination of several methods with different characteristics and performance makes it possible to take advantages of their strong sides and simultaneously eliminate the weak ones, resulting in a better computational support of decision making.

In this article, hybrid warfare challenges and their impact on the evolution of warfare in the new dynamic security environment are analysed. The aim of the research was to identify hybrid threats, explore the complexity of the hybrid conflict that involves professional Armed Forces and irregular (paramilitary) forces. The research has been conducted through two case studies of hybrid warfare: the Israeli - Lebanese conflict in 2006 and the Lebanese militia organisation Hezbollah as a prototype of hybrid opponents; and the contemporary hybrid conflict in Ukraine through the Russian paradigm of hybrid warfare. The conducted research showed that the decisive role that influenced the outcome of the conflict belonged either to rapidness or inertia in of the making of political decisions. The research results showed further that revision of the existing strategic and doctrinal documents are required, as well as reorganisation of the national security system (and the Armed Forces as part of it), without which they will not be able to deal successfully with the dynamic nature of future conflict and complexity of threats (“synergy of threats”). The political decision is the most essential parameter for sizing military organisation. The rapidity of response in the event of emergencies (especially outside the national territory) also depends on the promptness of political decisions in order to activate the Armed Forces.

Recent years have brought significant progress in the field of hybrid vehicles. Today, almost all major manufacturers offer this type of cars for their clients. Hybrid drives have lower fuel consumption and less emission of toxic gases. These benefits have led to the rapid popularization of hybrid cars on the global market. The growing demand for economical vehicles leads to increased work of engineers on new improvements. The biggest drawback of such drives is their high cost of purchasing. The result is lack of small urban car with such a powertrain. Following article describes the prototype of hybrid powertrain designed for small car with diesel engine. Vehicle design is based on the construction of Fiat Panda. The project includes construction of the prototype vehicle with eAWD powertrain. Prototype vehicle will be used for research into finding the optimum powertrain control algorithms. Test results will determine possible fuel savings and economical benefits of using hybrid cars in urban driving cycle. Research results will be compared with the results of simulations carried out Matlab/Simulink program. This comparison will confirm the correctness of simulation algorithms that can be used in the process of optimizing the drive control program. The basic premise of the paper is that the study of formal and informal processes has moved beyond the formality-informality debate. Forms which may be termed as hybrid formalities and hybrid informalities are more and more often encountered in the literature. However, these hybrid types are pretty much under construction, and they occur in a rather disparate manner. So that, there is need of a systematic approach which would conceptualize them within a broader typology. The paper advances such a typology of hybrid formalities and informalities. For the sake of conceptual unity, these are drafted in the same theoretical framework-the structuralist perspective on informal economy. Eventually, the systematization of this typology of hybrids leads to the formulation of some general findings about the manner in which sociologists relate to formality and informality in general.

Aim. The aim of is article is to discuss how summer schools can be approached as instances of hybrid education and how this can help to address the complex needs of their participants living in a culturally and technologically intertwined world. Methodology. This paper analyses the theoretical framework of hybrid education, its manifestations in summer schools and since it needs contextualisation, how it works in a specific case of Baltic Summer University organised by Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania). Research and conclusion. To reach their target audience, summer schools combine academic content, and the elements of business and entertainment. This results in a separate mode of education with new possibilities and scope, however poses a paradox: while the adoption of business and entertainment practices puts summer schools somewhat outside the realm of the traditional university practices, it makes higher education more approachable and able to react to the fast-changing reality. Baltic Summer University fits the pattern established and as such, could benefit from a more active engagement of this theoretical approach and the opportunities it offers.   Originality. While summer schools are not a particularly new phenomenon, recently this field has witnessed a great expansion in both the supply of programmes and interest from students. The nature of these programmes and sudden interest in them remains under the radar of more extensive in-depth studies, which would actually help to harness its full potential.

Opis:
Main goal of article was design, develop and control of Stop&Go system in Mild Hybrid Drive using supercondensator and starter with permanent magnets. Many researches and tests were done to determine real and then representative cycles of drive in Silesian agglomeration in Gliwice and Zabrze. Road researches enabled carrying out analysis of fluidity of traffic in cities and setting a percentage shares of movement micro stages (selected accelerations, driving with constant speed, braking, stopover). Researches of usefulness of supercondensators' system as an energy source in process of starting an internal combustion engine were done. Usage of supercondensators as an energy source of starting led to improvement of economic indicators of the Stop & Go system. Supercondensator has a 1000 times bigger durability than PbPbO2 battery with around 40 times smaller mass. Researchers of real characteristics of the car Fiat Palio Weekend 1,2 8V were done for calculations of traditional characteristics The Stop & Go system was designed and produced for this vehicle A starter, which will have NeFeB magnets built in stator instead of induction winding, was designed. A modernization of the starter is necessary because of different type of working - frequent starting of the internal combustion engine. A project of the Stop & Go system was carried out in the Fiat Palio car a project of the Stop & Go system for Mild Hybrid drive and verification of correctness of working has been carried out in the Fiat Palio car.

Article describes project of automatic, preheating engine block system, which enable shortening of duration of fuel injection after starting combustion engine. It will cause reduction of air pollution during catalyst heating-up phase. The automatic, preheating engine block system should have electric regulation of cooling water temperature, which is realized by electric cooling water pump. Independent control of pump speed and application extra heating-up of cooling water makes possible heating cooling water when engine is turn off and control engines temperature during engine running (admission of increase temperature to 110°C).

The media environment is an extremely variable universe where every now and again we can observe the emergence of new phenomena. Many of those form through blending of often rather different and distant areas. As a result, there emerge hybrid forms, which are not entirely established or completely defined. This article is focussed on those kinds of mixed types based on media entertainment, e.g. infotainment, edutainment, politainment, politicotainment, docutainment etc., which can be observed in the means of mass communication. The goal of the study was to define their essence, their distinctive features, and to indicate the place of those hybrid forms within the media discourses being carried on today.
