    The aim of the undertaken studies was to determine the effect of the herbicides used in the experiment on important features of the consumption values of three varieties of edible potato. Test results come from a field experiment conducted in 2007–2010. The experiment was established as two-factor in the split-plot system in three repetitions. Two factors were tested in the experiment: factor I - potato varieties: Satina, Tajfun, Cekin; factor II – five methods of weed control. Darkening of the pulp of cooked tubers after 10 min, 2 and 24 hours shape the ways of weed control of the plantation and the genotype of the grown varieties. The use of herbicides in 2–5 variants has significantly increased the darkening of the pulp. The Tajfun variation darkened to the lowest degree, and Cekin to the largest degree.

    Celem badań było rozpoznanie opłacalności produkcji w trzech kolejnych sezonach wegetacyjnych. Dane pochodziły z gospodarstwa rolnego specjalizującego się w produkcji rzepaku ozimego. Plon nasion rzepaku w 2011 roku ukształtował się na poziomie 2,10 t/ha, w 2012 roku wynosił 4,00 t/ha, a w 2013 roku 4,11 t/ha. Przychód w badanych okresach wynosił od 5478,8 do 8878,3 zł/ha, a duża zmienność przychodu była uwarunkowana ceną uzyskaną w poszczególnych latach badań za jednostkę produkcji. Największy udział w strukturze poniesionych kosztów stanowiły koszty nawozów (41 i 47%).
    The aim of this study was to conduct the economic analysis of winter rape production and presentation of the profitability of production in three consecutive growing seasons. The data came from the farm specializing in the production of winter rape. The yield of rapeseed in 2011 reached the level 2.10 t/ha in 2012 amounted to 4.00 t/ha, while in 2013, 4.11 t/ha. Revenue in the analyzed the periods was 5478.80 and 8878.30, and 7057.70 PLN per 1 ha, and a large variation in income was dictated price obtained in the different years of research per unit of production. The largest share in the structure of the costs incurred related to costs fertilizers (41.0 and 47.0%).

    Celem badań było porównanie opłacalności uprawy rzepaku ozimego przy dwóch metodach siewu: siew rzędowy – gęstość siewu 60 nasion na 1 m2 oraz siew punktowy – gęstość siewu 40 nasion na 1 m2. Plon nasion rzepaku był zróżnicowany i wynosił przy siewie punktowym 4,43 t/ha, a siewie rzędowym 5,24 t/ha. Przychód dla badanych technologii wynosił od 5914,20 zł/ha (siew rzędowy) i 4231,00 zł/ha (siew punktowy), a różnica była uwarunkowana wielkością plonu z 1 ha. Największy udział w strukturze kosztów stanowiły koszty nawozów (33%), środków ochrony roślin (27-30%) i maszynowe (31-32%).
    The aim of the study was to compare the profitability of winter oilseed rape with two sowing methods: (row sowing – seed density 60 seeds per 1 m2 and spot sowing – seed density 40 seeds per 1 m2). The yield of rape seed was varied and was at the point sowing – 4.43 t/ha and row sowing – 5.24 t/ha. The income for the tested technologies ranged from 5914.20 PLN /ha (row sowing) and 4231.00 PLN /ha (spot sowing), and the difference was due to the yield of 1 ha. The largest share in the cost structure was the cost of fertilizers (33%), plant protection (27-30%) and machinery (31-32%).

    Celem badań było porównanie opłacalności trzech wariantów technologii produkcji kukurydzy na ziarno suche, na ziarno mokre z przeznaczeniem do gorzelni oraz na kiszonkę z wykorzystaniem jej na cele energetyczne jako wsadu do biogazowni. Największe plony uzyskano w 2014 roku: 9,7 t/ha ziarna suchego, 11,5 t/ha ziarna mokrego oraz 55,0 t/ha kiszonki z przeznaczeniem na biogaz. Nadwyżka bezpośrednia z produkcji kukurydzy wynosiła od 672,9 zł/ha w 2015 roku (kukurydza na kiszonkę z przeznaczeniem na biogaz) do 4308,8 zł/ha w 2013 roku (kukurydza na ziarno suche) i była determinowana przez kierunek produkcji kukurydzy i lata badań. Dochód z jej produkcji łącznie z dopłatami bezpośrednimi wynosił od -2,6 zł/ha w 2015 roku (uprawa na ziarno suche) do 3060,3 zł/ha w 2013 roku (uprawa na kiszonkę na biogaz). Najwyższy wskaźnik opłacalności produkcji w badanych latach osiągnięto przy uprawie kukurydzy na ziarno mokre.
    The aim of this study was to compare the profitability of traditional cultivation of corn for grain dry, wet for the purpose to distilleries and the cultivation of corn silage using it for energy purposes as feedstock for the biogas plant. The highest yields were obtained in 2014: 9.70 t ha dry grain, 11.50 t/ha of wet grain and 55 t/ha of silage for the purpose of biogas. Gross margin of 1 ha of maize ranged from: 67.90 PLN/ha in 2015 (corn for silage into biogas) to 4308.80 PLN/ha (dry grain maize) in 2013, and was determined by the direction of growing corn and years of research. The income from 1 ha of crops including direct payments ranged from -2.60 PLN/ha in 2015 (the cultivation of grain dry) to 3060.30 PLN/ha in 2013 (crop silage into biogas). The biggest indicator of profitability over the years studied was achieved in the cultivation of corn for grain wet.

    Celem podjętych badań było porównanie opłacalności uprawy trzech odmian kukurydzy o różnej klasie wczesności FAO w kolejnych sezonach wegetacyjnych 2012-2014. Dane pochodzą z gospodarstwa rolnego specjalizującego się w produkcji roślinnej, w tym kukurydzy. Największy plon nasion kukurydzy uzyskano w 2012 roku z uprawy odmiany PR38N86 – 12,4 t/ha, a najmniejszy w 2013 roku z odmiany P8400 – 9,8 t/ha. Dochód z uprawy 1 ha, wliczając dopłaty unijne, wynosił od 1554,70 zł dla odmiany P8400 w 2014 roku do 7172,70 zł w 2012 roku dla odmiany PR38N86. Najwyższy wskaźnik opłacalności we wszystkich trzech latach badań osiągnięto, uprawiając średnio późną odmianę PR38N86 o FAO 290, a najniższy u odmiany średnio wczesnej P8400 o FAO 240.
    The aim of the study was to compare the profitability of cultivation of three varieties of maize with different class FAO earliness in the following vegetation seasons from 2012 to 2014. The data comes from the agricultural holding specializing in the plant production including corn. The highest yield of maize seeds were obtained in 2012, cultivating variety PR38N86, which amounted to 12.4 t/ha and the lowest in 2013 for the variety P8400 – 9.8 t/ha. Income from 1 ha of crops including EU subsidies ranged between 1554.70 PLN for a variety of P8400 in 2014 to 7172.70 PLN in 2012, for a variety PR38N86. The highest rate of profitability in all three years of research, there has been cultivating medium-late variety PR38N86 of FAO 270, while the lowest in the medium-early variety of FAO P8400 240.

    Celem badań było określenie poziomu wykorzystania technicznych środków produkcji w gospodarstwie rolnym położonym w województwie mazowieckim, specjalizującym się w produkcji roślinnej. Analizę przeprowadzono na podstawie danych pozyskanych metodą wywiadu bezpośredniego. Dane dotyczyły wybranych maszyn oraz ciągników rolniczych znajdujących się na wyposażeniu gospodarstwa w 2015 roku. W celu określenia racjonalizacji zakupu i utrzymania maszyn rolniczych w gospodarstwie dokonano stosownych obliczeń z wykorzystaniem wzoru na obliczanie granicznego wykorzystania maszyn (ha/rok). Z badań wynika, że najmniej opłacalnym z utrzymaniu był kombajn zbożowy, którego roczne wykorzystanie było niższe od wykorzystania granicznego (WGR = 405,52 > WR = 375,00). Wykorzystanie pozostałych maszyn było znacznie wyższe niż wyliczone wykorzystanie graniczne. Wszystkie ciągniki rolnicze będące na wyposażeniu gospodarstwa były wykorzystywane na poziomie wyższym niż graniczne. Ich zakup był racjonalny.
    The aim of the study was to determine the level of use of technical means of production on the farm, located in Mazowieckie, specializing in crop production. The analysis was carried out on the basis of data obtained by conducting an interview. Data related to selected machines and tractors that are equipped farm in 2015. In order to determine the reasonableness of the purchase and maintenance of agricultural machinery on the farm made the calculations, using the formula for the calculation of the limit utilizations. Research shows that the least profitable of maintaining a combine harvester, with annual utilization was lower than the use limit (WGR = 405.52> WR = 375.00). The use of machinery was much higher than the calculated usage limits. All tractors that are equipped farms are used at a level higher than the limit. Their purchase was rational.

Dane pochodziły z indywidualnego gospodarstwa rolnego specjalizującego się w intensywnej produkcji pszenicy ozimej. Plon nasion pszenicy w 2012 roku kształtował się na poziomie 8,5 t/ha, w 2013 roku wynosił 8,7 t/ha, a w 2014 roku 9,8 t/ha. Przychód w badanych okresach z 1 ha wynosił odpowiednio 4791,40 zł, 3564,25 zł i 409,40 zł, a duża zmienność w przychodzie była podyktowana ceną oraz plonem uzyskanym w poszczególnych latach badań. Największy udział w strukturze poniesionych kosztów stanowiły koszty nawozów (39,0% i 40,0%).
    The aim of this study was to perform an economic analysis of winter wheat production and presentation of production profitability in the years 2012-2014. The data came from a farm specializing in the production of winter wheat. Seed yield of wheat in 2012 reached the level 8.5 t/ha, in 2013 amounted to 8.7 t/ha, while in 2014, 9.8 t/ha. Income in the analyzed period was 4791.40 PLN/ha, 3564.25 PLN/ha, and 409.40 PLN per 1 ha, and a high variability in income was dictated by price and yield obtained in individual years of the study. The largest share in the structure of costs was the cost of fertilizers (39.0 and 40.0%).

    Celem artykułu jest analiza ekonomiczna uprawy rzepaku ozimego w zależności od stosowania różnych biostymulatorów (Asahi SL, Silvit, Tytanit) i kontroli bez stymulatora. Dane pochodziły z Rolniczej Stacji Doświadczalnej Zawady należącej do Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczo-Humanistycznego w Siedlcach. W zależności od zastosowanego biostymulatora plon nasion wynosił: 4,16 t/ha (Asahi SL) 3,96 t/ha (Silvit), 3,91 t/ha (Tytanit) i 3,80 t/ha (kontrola bez biostymulatora). Dochód z uprawy rzepaku z uwzględnieniem dopłat bezpośrednich wynosił od 3449 zł/ha (kontrola – bez biostymulatora) do 3827 zł/ha (biostymulator – Asahi SL). Największy udział w strukturze poniesionych kosztów bezpośrednich miały nawozy (31,1-33,0%).
    The aim of the study was to conduct an economic analysis of winter rape, depending on the use of biostimulators four ways: control, Asahi SL, Silvit and Tytaniy. The data came from the Agricultural Experimental Station Zawady belonging to the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce. Seed yield stood at Asahi SL – 4.16 t/ha, Silvit – 3.96 t/ha: Titanit – 3.91 t/ha, control (without biostimulator) – 3.80 t/ha.     The field experiment was conducted in the years of 2012–2014 in the Agricultural Experimental Station Zawady belonging to the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce. The two factor experiment was set up in the split-plot system in triplicate. The investigated factors were: I – three varieties of edible potato: Bartek, Gawin and Honorata. II – five ways of care: 1. Harrier herbicide 295 ZC – 2.0 dm3·ha-1; 2. Harrier herbicide 295 ZC – 2.0 dm3·ha-1 with the biostimulator Kelpak SL – 4.0 dm3·ha-1; 3. Sencor herbicide 70 WG – 1.0 kg·ha-1; 4. Sencor herbicide 70 WG – 1.0 kg·ha-1 with the biostimulator Asahi SL – 1.5 dm3·ha-1; 5. The control object – mechanical care. The content of zinc and copper and their collection with the yield of tubers significantly depended on the ways of care, genetic factor and climatic conditions in the years of the study. In the objects (2, 4) where herbicides were used with biostimulators, a greater concentration of zinc was obtained in relation to the control object and the remaining (3, 5) in which only herbicides were used. The applied care methods did not affect the content of copper in the analysed tubers. The greatest collection of zinc an copper with the yield of tubers was obtained in the objects: where the mixture of the Sencor herbicide 70 WG – 1.0 kg·ha-1 was used with the biostimulator Asahi SL – 1.5 dm3-1 and herbicide Sencor 70 WG in a dose of – 1.0 kg ·ha-1.

    The main goal of studies carried in our reasearch group – analytical chemistry in investigation and protection of the environment is the evaluation of the impact of human activity on environmental pollution, and creation of analytical procedures that can be applied in environmental analysis. Detailed description of our research can be found on webpage http://www.chem.uw.edu.pl/labs/pcas. In this paper we would like to present only a few topics and analytical challenges that we were dealing with during the last years. The application of anodic and cathodic stripping voltammetry for trace analysis of hazardous metals (cadmium, lead, thallium, platinum, rhodium) in natural samples is described [4–6]. Voltammetry is also presented as a tool used in speciation analysis, which is particularly important in the case of elements which toxicity and assimilation depends on chemical form of the element that is present in the environment (e.g. As) [8]. Attention is also paid to fractionation, which is a specific case of speciation analysis, extremely important for evaluation of mobility and bioavailability of harmful or nutritious substances from soil. As environmental monitoring often requires carrying measurements at trace levels, it might be necessary to preconcentrate the analytes or simplify the composition of the sample before the analysis. For such purposes solid phase extraction (SPE) is widely used and frequently applied. Another analytical task presented in this work is recognition of the defense mechanisms developed by hyperaccumulating plants, e.g. white mustard. This species was investigated for synthesis of phytochelatins – sulphur-rich polipeptides induced by high concentrations of As, Tl, Cd, Pt, Pd and Rh [14]. It is worth noting that plant species that are able to cumulate high amounts of xenobiotics can be used for phytoremediation, which is one of so called “green technologies”, used for restitution of polluted environment, particularly soil [19].
