Opis:
In the Middle Ages, tithes and tributes were, among others, the sources of the emoluments of the church benefices. Basically all the parishes had the right to collect those fees, therefore among the cases usually investigated by the church courts were disputes over tithes. One example of such a dispute was Michał’s complaint (a priest of the parish church in Opole) against Świętosław, an heir to the village of Boby. The sentence which was passed by the official of Sandomierz  Mikołaj  in 1413 and  prepared in the form of a notarial instrument by a public notary Wit from Przełęk in the presence of Andrzej from Sandomierz-a public notary in the consistory of Sandomierz is now stored in the parish archive in Opole Lubelskie. In the document dated 4 July 1413, Mikołaj  from Jeżyn, the rector of the Hospital of St. Spirit and the official of Sandomierz, ordered Świętosław, under the penalty of excommunication, to pay the outstanding sum of 14 grzywnas, additional compensation of 10 grzywnas and to give the priest from Opole a tithe of two grzywnas each year. The official’s sentence was also imposed on Świętosław’s successors. It is said that the complaint was made because Świętosław, an heir to the village of Boby, unfairly collected a predial tithe from peasants’ fields, which belonged to the church and the parish priest in Opole. Although the official’s sentence was to be the final one, it did not solve the problem of tithes from the village of Boby. The complaints of the consecutive priests of Opole made before an official court in the 17th century show that the dispute over tithes became an  inherent part of the history of the two neighbouring parishes. Mikołaj’s sentence, which was published, means that the document is not the privilege of establishing a tithe from the village of Boby for the church in Opole, but an official’s sentence in the case of its non-payment. It identifies a previously unknown owner of the village of Boby and establishes earlier, than previously thought, foundation of the church in the village.

В статье обсуждается развитие свекловой тли на конских бобах и ее вредность для растения-хозяина. Конские бобы поражаются тлей уже в конце мая. В условиях Польши тлей поражаются 30 - 83% растений, а ее густота достигает 800 особей на растении. Природные вредители тли появляются редко и в немногих количествах. Кормление тлей приводит к потерям зеленого вещества растений предназначенных на силос. Конские бобы возделываемые на семена характеризуются низким ростом при их поражении тлями. Число семян в бобу и вес семян меньше у пораженных растений в сравнения с непораженными. Способность прорастания семян в поврежденных растениях сходна с семенами неповрежденных растений, однако сеянцы выросшие из поврежденных семян развиваются медленнее. Растения выросшие из поврежденных семян более низкого роста и образуют меньшее число бобов и семян. После 14-суточного кормления тлей (число тлей на растении колеблется от 200 до 500 особей) происходят следующие физиологические изменения в пораженных растениях; а) повышается содержание сухого вещества в поврежденных листьях, б) снижается содержание сахара в листьях и бобах, в) повышается количество белков в растениях, г) снижаются темпы дыхания листьев, д) повышается уровень фотосинтеза.
The development of beet aphid on field beans and its harmfulness to the host plant are discussed in the paper. Field beans were infested by the aphids as early as at the end of May. Under Poland’s conditions 30 - 83% of plants are infested by the aphid, its density reaching 800 specimens per plant. Natural enemies of the aphid occur rarely and in low numbers. Aphid’s feeding resulted in a loss of the green matter of plants designed for ensiling. Field beans cultivated for seeds are characterized by a short growth when infested by aphids. The number of seeds per pod and the weight of seeds are less in infested plants as compared with non-infested ones. The germination power of seeds from damaged plants was similar to that of non-damaged plants, still the seedlings grown from damaged seeds develop at a slower rate. Plant grown from damaged seed is shorter and forms a less number of pods and seeds. After 14-day feeding of aphids (the number of aphids per plant ranging within 200 - 500 specimens) the following physiologic changes occurred in the infested plants: a) increased the dry matter content in damaged leaves, b) decreased the sugar content in leaves and pods, c) increased the amount of proteins in plants, d) decreased the leaf respiration rate, e) increased the photosynthesis rate.

Opis:
The nickel post-mining soil with an open-pit mining system has poor soil chemical and physical properties. Thus, it requires appropriate site-specific management so that it can be optimized as a plant cultivation area. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of compost from oil palm empty fruit bunches (OPEFB) and mycorrhizal vesicular-arbuscular (MVA) in improving soil fertility of nickel post-mining soil. This study was conducted using a randomized block trial design with 2 factors. The first factor is compost with 3 treatments, consisting of 5 $t•ha^{-1}$ (K1), 7.5 $t•ha^{-1}$ (K2), 10 $t•ha^{-1}$ (K3) and the second factor was mycorrhiza (M) in the fine-crushed brick carrier media with as many as 3 treatments consisting of 2 $t•ha^{-1}$ (M1), 4 $t•ha^{-1}$ (M2), 6 $t•ha^{-1}$ (M3). A total of 9 treatment combinations were repeated 3 times, arranged in experimental pots at the Experimental Farm of Hasanuddin University, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The results showed that the compost and MVA treatments had a significant effect on increasing the average values of cation exchange capacity, organic carbon, available P2O5, calcium and magnesium exchangeable,as well as decreasing exchangeable aluminum and iron. The highest soil properties values were found in the combination of compost 10 $t•ha^{-1}$ (K3) and MVA 6 $t•ha^{-1}$ (M3). The application of compost from OPEFB combined with MVA significantly improved soil fertility, which was indicated by improving soil chemical and biological properties. The application of MVA at various doses had a significant effect on the dry weight, root length of Calopogonium mucunoides and increase the number of MVA spores in the soil.
