    The purpose of this exploratory analysis was to capture students’ generic tendencies in the organization of original research term papers written by graduate within the same linguistic, cultural, and disciplinary territory. A model proposed by Sheldon (2011) was benchmarked against a corpus of 60 English research term paper introductions to identify the saliency of move schemes along with step and sub-step realizations. At step-level analysis, the proportion of the various steps within Move 2 (indicating a gap, adding to what is known, and presenting positive justification) exhibited a pervasive lack of rhetorical tendency that contradicted the previous genre-based findings. Such an exploration, offers implications for English for research publication purposes instruction and academic literacies based on academic conventions and norms.

    The issue of terminographic gaps in specialized discourses has always concerned the researchers and readers alike. However, due to the interlingual nature of such a technical issue, the need for interdisciplinary collaboration between translation and terminography seems to be in prospect. For such a reciprocation scheme to come into practical effect, the present study has aimed to conduct a translational-terminographic concerto by putting a specialized English text to the test of Persian translation. This has been done to answer the question if a translator is required to provide for any terminological gap once all attempts at finding the corresponding terminological items have failed. In this pursuit, certain workable criteria for terminographic proposition via translation have been discussed. As such, the practical phase of this study concerns itself with addressing the issue of Persian terminological gaps in a language-related metadiscoursal field and consequently detecting the problem zones of non-equivalence in a specialised text carefully selected for translation. Ultimately, a list of Persian terminological items constructed on the basis of the proposed translational-cum-terminographical scheme is compiled to address the identified terminological gaps in the target metadiscourse under study.

    This article contains summary of kinds and theoretical base of security and criminalistic identification in transformation of time. Systematization of terms, principles and methods of identification can be performed with regard to various criteria with consideration to possibilities of using new information and communication technologies, which allowed application of systematic attitude and biometrical identification. The most common meaning of identification is connected with determination of identity and with using of results of identification as a part of testifying in the criminal proceedings, but the necessity of identification of security activities can also not be overlooked.

    Zapotrzebowanie na świadczenia opieki długoterminowej jest uwarunkowane kilkoma czynnikami, wśród których należy wymienić zmiany w sytuacji demograficznej, wy - dłużenie się przeciętnego czasu trwania życia, spadek umieralności w każdej grupie wiekowej związany z intensywnym rozwojem i osiągnięciami medycyny. Sytuacja zdrowotna społeczeństwa, zmiany w strukturze i funkcjonowaniu rodzin oraz ich sytuacji ekonomicznej również wpływają na zainteresowanie różnymi formami opieki długo - terminowej. Zasadniczy wpływ na rozwój opieki długoterminowej mają także zmiany w systemie ochrony zdrowia, proponowane standardy i procedury opieki medycznej. Realizacja świadczeń pielęgniarskich przez pielęgniarkę ( pielęgniarza) – specjalistę opieki długoterminowej jest procesem złożonym, kompleksowym, obejmującym pro - blemy zdrowotne, uwarunkowania społeczno-kulturowe i edukacyjne chorego i jego rodziny. Zasadnicza trudność polega na umiejętności zapewnienia świadczeń pielę - gniarskich w środowisku zamieszkania pacjenta, głównie w domu prywatnym lub w placówce opiekuńczej. Proponowana pomoc i kompetencje zawodowe i opiekuńcze pielęgniarki ( pielęgniarza) umożliwiają kontynuację leczenia, terapii, rehabilitacji pacjentów starszych, przewlekle chorych, osób z niepełnosprawnością fizyczną i inte - lektualną oraz z zaburzeniami psychicznymi. Możliwe jest także przygotowanie chorego i jego najbliższych do zmian, do samoopieki i samopielęgnacji oraz kształtowanie ich umiejętności do radzenia sobie z chorobą i ( lub) niepełnosprawnością. Obecny system opieki długoterminowej nie zawsze jest spójny w taki sposób, aby zapewnić ciągłość opieki, i nie zawsze odpowiada potrzebom pacjentów i ich opiekunów
    The demand for long-term services is conditioned by several factors, which include changes in the demographic situation, an increasing average lifespan, a decreasing death rate in all age groups associated with a rapid development and the latest achievements in the field of medicine. The health condition of the society, changes in the structure of the family, its functioning and economic situation also contribute to an increasing interest in various forms of long-term care. Changes in the healthcare system, proposed standards and procedures of medical care also enhance the development of long-term care. The provision of nursing services by nurses specialising in long-term care consti - tutes a complex, comprehensive process which encompasses patients’ health problems, their socio-cultural conditions and their educational background as well as that of their families. The fundamental difficulty lies in the ability to provide nursing services in patients’ own places of residence, mainly in private homes or care facilities. The sug - gested assistance as well as the nurses’ professional and care competences allow for the continuation of treatment, therapy as well as rehabilitation of elderly and chronically sick people with physical and intellectual disability or mental disorders. It is also pos - sible to prepare sick patients and their relatives for changes, self-care and self-tending as well as developing their managing skills of their illness and/or disability.

    At the beginning of the article an analysis is made about new applications of commonly known terms, such as retirement pension, geriatric, grey or silver tsunami, and “election retirement pensions”, covering among others civic retirement pension, maternal retirement pension, 13th and 14th bonus retirement pension, guaranteed retirement pension and non-taxed retirement pension. There are also presented demographic changes in Poland in the last half-century (1967–2017) and their consequences. Another thematic thread concerns senior policy, its genesis and attempt to defining what it is, and its main goals. Senior policy which is being created in Poland can be successfully implemented on three basic levels: governmental, self-governmental and non-governmental (civic). Activities addressed to seniors can be divided in at least six areas: 1) activity and activation of older people; 2) education; 3) culture and mass media; 4) legislation and legal assistance; 5) social assistance and support, and 6) health and preventive care. This paper discusses examples of activities in the above ranges, and in the final passage of this text we have discussion on the senior policy in contemporary Poland trying to answer vital questions: do we have in Poland social policy addressing the problems of elderly people?, and if the term ‘senior policy’ not a ‘semantic abuse’?

    Opis:
    Finding solution of unemployment and poverty is one of the most important challenges of social policy in the European Union today. Th e existence of a global labor market emphasizes the need for adoption of such measures, which are accepted and implemented in the wider socio-economic units, such as eg. European Union. Th e indicator of longterm unemployment and material hardship in the context of its possible solutions are mainly data on the number and structure of long-term unemployed job seekers who are in material need, the developments in this segment of the labor market and the measures that these applicants to solutions to their social situation may be used. In the Contribution We characterize poverty and unemployment to functionally link the defi nition of social events and existing social interventions. We also focus on legislative conceptualization process aspects of the application of social interventions to solving poverty and unemployment. At the end of the Contribution we point out possible solutions to long-term unemployment within the context of Europe 2020 strategy.
    Hľadanie riešení nezamestnanosti a chudoby predstavuje jednu z najvýznamnejších výziev sociálnej politiky Európskej únie v súčasnosti. Existencia globálneho trhu práce akcentuje potrebu prijímania takých opatrení, ktoré sú akceptované a realizované v širších spoločensko-ekonomických celkoch, akým je napr. Európska únia. K indikátorom dlhodobej nezamestnanosti a hmotnej núdze vo vzťahu k navrhovaniu možných riešení patria predovšetkým údaje o počte a štruktúre dlhodobo trendoch v tomto segmente trhu práce, ako aj o opatreniach, ktoré títo uchádzači na riešenie svojej sociálnej situácie môžu využívať. V príspevku charakterizujeme chudobu a nezamestnanosť s cieľom funkčne prepojiť vymedzenie sociálnej udalosti a k nej prislúchajúcich sociálnych intervencií. Zameriavame sa aj na legislatívnu konceptualizáciu procesuálnej stránky uplatňovania sociálnych intervencií pri riešení chudoby a nezamestnanosti. V závere príspevku poukazujeme na možnosti riešenia dlhodobej nezamestnanosti v kontexte Stratégie Európa 2020. nezamestnaných uchádzačov o zamestnanie, ktorí sú v hmotnej núdzi, o vývojovýc
