Opis:
The aim of the paper is to present the need for action concerning cultural safety in terms of its present threats. The author defines cultural safety and identifies threats related to it, paying attention to multiculturalism and subsequent globalization, migration, the notion of exile, economic differentiation of societies, climate changes, plundering, thefts and illegal turnover of cultural assets. In conclusion, the author stresses the necessity for taking action both by states and governmental organizations to protect cultural heritage and safety as well as active support for non-governmental organizations and international actions in this respect (particularly the ones under the auspices of the United Nations).

Opis:
This study consists of two parts. The first contains a theoretical interpretation of lexeme taboo with a particular emphasis placed on the issue of etymology and varied semantics of this concept. This analysis is based on the use of dictionary definitions as well as ethnological and linguistic research. It is also significant to reveal the connection between tabooisation and security culture. The second section is an attempt of response to the question on the tabooisation of the subjects related to body and sexuality in the youth newspaper. The analytic part is intended to depict ways and reasons of this phenomenon. The combination of theoretical description and examples study is meant to illustrate the concept of safety in the context of taboo – the concept, which is nowadays defined not only as a military category, but also as a quality valued as safety culture.

Introduction: It is commonly known that healthy attitudes of pregnant women condition normal pregnancy and health of a newborn. The most important factor influencing the well-being of a pregnant woman and her child is the right nutrition. Convinced that she is making every effort to ensure that the baby in her womb develops normally, the expectant mother is at the same time satisfying the need for her own safety and the safety of her growing family. From a population perspective a full-term and properly nourished neonate, subjected to the right upbringing, guarantees the development and survival of the society the member of which it becomes. Aim: This paper attempts to present functional dietary recommendations for pregnant women, based on national and international recommendations with respect to social and personal safety of pregnant women. The right nutrition in the course of pregnancy is a multidimensional issue. From one hand this refers to satisfying our energy requirement, which changes at different trimesters of pregnancy, on the other hand, it also linked to the structure of consumed products, namely the right amount and proportion of nutrients. It also included modification of wrong dietary habits (Godala M. et al., 2012). There is no single opinion on the possibility of consuming some food pregnancy while being pregnant. Attention needs to be paid to such dubious products as blue cheese, sushi, surimi, soft-boiled eggs or some kinds of fish. It is of high importance that a pregnant woman’s diet is supplied with floate, iodine, iron, zinc and calcium, which to a large extent condition normal development of many systems in an unborn child’s organism. Conclusion: Malnutrition or an unbalanced diet of a pregnant woman is the cause of numerous complications, the effects of which are visible even in her child’s maturity. Such complications affect humans’ fundamental need which is the need for safety of own health and life. The right understanding of the multifaceted role of nutrition during pregnancy and its effect on gene expression by pregnant women and medical personnel is an unquestionably important argument used in the fight against chronic diseases of our time.

Since the Chernobyl disaster, special attention is paid in Ukraine to legislation in the field of nuclear energy and radiation safety. A new stage of enhancing Ukrainian nuclear and radiation safety legislation began with the signing in 2014 of the Association Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Ukraine, of the other. In addition, the Ordinance of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 17 September 2014 on the implementation of the Association Agreement on atomic energy between Ukraine from one side and the European Union, the European Community and its member-countries from another side, provided for the development and adoption of new regulations in the energy sector (including nuclear) in order to implement Directives: 1) Council Directive 2014/87/Euratom of 8 July 2014 amending Directive 2009/71/Euratom establishing a Community framework for the nuclear safety of nuclear installations, 2) Council Directive 2006/117/Euratom of 20 November 2006 on the supervision and control of shipments of radioactive waste and spent fuel, 3) Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom of 5 December 2013 laying down basic safety standards for protection against the dangers arising from exposure to ionizing radiation. Implementation of EU legislation in the field of nuclear and radiation safety will reveal major shortcomings of the current state of affairs and, at the same time, mechanisms to improve Ukraine’s national legislation with the aim of preventing another Chernobyl disaster in the future.

The idea of European integration and frequently also subsequent unification of law in Europe may seem to be quite a recent topic. If it is talked about, it is more or less in scope of decades, or with regards to the recent change of era, it might be considered no earlier than a last century issue. However, the roots of European integration can be found, without any doubt, much earlier; namely at the time when the Roman Empire had not only been forming the European organization for many centuries, but also the history of part of the territory of African and Asian continent. Although the motivations of their masterminds were different, we encounter some efforts to assure durable peace through peace treaties between those who really wanted to achieve it. First agreements of this type – putting peace under penalties of international legal nature, were already known in Old age.

Due to WHO – health is a physical, psychical and social welfare. The collapse of health is serious threats of safety. Only healthy man may be liable to education, will participate in organizational processes, actively and creatively incorporate processes aimed at improving safety culture and defense, which serves harmonious development of certain entities and achieving safety in its broad sense. Meanwhile fatigue, caused by unhealthy lifestyle or physico-somatic changes, reduces feeling of welfare which is equivalent of safety. Taking adequate measures to minimize subjective feeling of lack of welfare might contribute to increasing our effectiveness and creativity and, at the same time, to improve conditions to our safety.

The phenomenon of sex addiction is a new phenomenon in Poland, actually been thoroughly explored. Authorities in the field of addiction (Prof. Bohdan T. Woronowicz) and sexual dysfunction (Prof. Zbigniew Lew-Starowicz) on this subject refer to the publication of American researchers. We have not been at our reliable research on a large scale for this dependence. However, its existence may indicate a strong interest enjoyed by the community self-help and Sexaholics Anonymous, Addicts Anonymous - Sex and Love, operating throughout the country. The aim of this work is to show the phenomenon of sex addiction and its impact on the security situation, especially its reduction, as it affects the mental health of the person and the sphere of physiological.

The main aim of this paper is to learn about an informal structure of a third grade sport class with extended curriculum in athletics of Junior Sport School no. 47 in Kraków and to show the relationship between students’ popularity and their physical fitness and safety in a group of peers. The research included 23 schoolgirls of III de class with extended curriculum in athletics. All participants were 15 year old. The following research techniques have been used: the sociometric method, the test of physical fitness, an analysis of school documents, an interview. In the light of the obtained results it can be stated that physical fitness in the examined III de class plays a significant role on becoming likeable and accepted among peers, there is high correlation between physical fitness and participants’ popularity, which is a positive phenomenon. In order to support students who have been rejected appropriate educational measures, aiming to change their image for better in the eyes of their peers and raise their status in the popularity hierarchy, should be taken.

The article presents the basic definitions of innovation and safety. The work embraces the author’s critical comments referring to Polish maritime economy (ME) against the background of the developed scientific and technology (S&T) concepts. Assuming that the Polish Navy is an entity of ME, the author indicates the lack of doctrine and a coherent maritime strategy of the country.
