Opis:
An important element of the foreign trade research is an analysis of its commodity and geographical structure. A method of examining the similarity of foreign trade structure was proposed in this article and applied on the example of certain EU countries. The aim of this article is to assess the degree of similarity of foreign trade structures and to indicate the extent to which it reflects differences in economic development. The study was conducted with the use of an original indicator of commodity structure similarity and a hierarchical cluster analysis for the period 2006— —2015. It enabled to identify the most similar countries in terms of foreign trade structure. Data for the computations were obtained from the Eurostat. The obtained results proved that countries with similar economic potential have a similar foreign trade structure.
Dane do obliczeń uzyskano z Eurostatu. Otrzymane wyniki dowiodły, że kraje o podobnym potencjale gospodarczym charakteryzują się zbliżoną strukturą handlu zagranicznego.

Opis:
The article concerns a story about the country doctor and begins, it would seem, in the very typical circumstances of everyday life. The doctor is called to the patient who allegedly needs urgent aid. In the final scene, this doctor, when in need, exposed to frost of “unhappy age”, wandering astray “with an earthly vehicle, unearthly horses”, has nobody to rescue him. The author’s aim is to prove that the complexities of the language in this story, contributing to its special, barely penetrable atmosphere, are an artistic device used by Franz Kafka.

Opis:
The main cause of social exclusion is poverty, but the authors say thatpoverty is not synonimous with social exclusion. The authors assume that poverty is anessential dimension of social exclusion – perhaps the most important one , which apart fromthe remaining (selected) objective factors, will consist of characteristics social exclusion inPoland, with particular emphasis on the situation in kujawsko-pomorskie voivodship. An article in the theoretical section attempts to sort out the discussion on the issue of social exclusion, the relationship between poverty and social exclusion. Moreover focuses on the measurablefactors illustrating this issue and its spatial differentiation. At the very beginning to the analysis of spatial diversity of social exclusion was the review and selection of diagnostic variables characterizing this problem. Then using linearalignment method, referred as Perkal’s synthetic indicator, was made the classification ofsurveyed voivodships (from the point of view of the obtained indicators of the level of ofthreat to its inhabitants by social exclusion). In addition, as a supplement to Perkal’s syntheticindicato, was used Ward’s agglomeration method. The main part of the article focuses on the subjective analysis of selected factorsconducive to social exclusion. The study assumes that social exclusion is not the same aseconomic scarcity, that’s why were taking into account indicators that cover a wide range ofsocio-economic phenomena, also affecting non-economic aspects of life, including: registeredunemployed persons unemployed for more than 1 year in the total number of unemployedpersons; at risk of relative poverty line; at risk of “legal” poverty rate; at risk of extremepoverty rate; average monthly per capita disposable income in the household; numer ofpersons in families benefiting from social assistance due to poverty per 1000 inhabitants;percentage of dwellings equipped with bathroom; indicator of the test result in lowersecondaryschoolin mathematics and natural science; percentage of children covered by pre-school education. At the end examined subjects were sorted according to the value of Perkal’s index andthe classification of the voivodships was performed. Again particular attention at this stage ofthe analysis was put on the situation of kujawsko-pomorskie voivodship

Opis:
The ultimate goal of this paper is to investigate the pedagogical views and attitudes of Moroccan high school teachers towards Method-based pedagogy. It attempts to investigate the extent to which teachers are satisfied with and committed to conventional methods. Also, the paper aims at investigating the alternative practices teachers are more likely to resort to in order to compensate for the limitations of conventional methods. In addition to this, a further objective of this study is to investigate the extent to which pre-service teacher training programs in Morocco are aware of the challenges of the post-method era. This is measured through their awareness of the requirements of the post-method era and the extent to which teacher trainers concern themselves with equipping the prospective teachers with the necessary skills to be reflective researchers and responsibly eclectic teachers. In this respect, the data collection instruments opted for in the present study ranged from quantitative to qualitative in nature. The findings reveal that the vast majority of Moroccan high school teachers (P=78%) are dissatisfied with conventional methods and - (P=96%) of them- are not committed to one or two teaching methods. The vast majority report that they resort to an eclectic approach to language teaching due to the impracticality and inflexibility of the established methods. Most teachers (P=80%) admit that they use a random eclecticism as they rely mainly on their intuitive rather than principled judgments. In this regard, interviews with teacher trainers and supervisors also reveal that pre-service teacher training programs in Morocco limit themselves only to training the prospective teachers to use methods and approaches without training them to be responsibly eclectic. The findings also show that the majority of teachers do, to some extent, know about classroom research; however, they - (P=72%) of them- have never conducted it inside their classrooms. The teachers (P=57%) attribute this to the lack of financial support and to the fact that they are not well-trained to conduct research inside their classrooms. Finally, the results of this study imply many suggestions of which we mention: the introduction of a post-method pedagogy in the Moroccan pre-service teacher training programs, equipping teachers with the methodological tools necessary as well as supporting them financially to conduct classroom-research for the purpose of constructing teaching methodologies that suit the needs to the very specific students and contexts within which they work.

Opis:
The text poses the question about the possibility and the way of practising today’s philosophical pedagogy. For this purpose it refers to its 19th century example elaborated for pedagogy by the philosopher Bronisław F. Trentowski in his work Chowanna. In the discussion of this concept, the author of the text reflects on the renewed formula of philosophical pedagogy. She argues that scientific development of pedagogy is conducive to conducting a philosophical reflection within it and with its own initiative. In other words, the reflection on the sense of education and on the justification of methods of pedagogical impact, based on philosophical resources and on the research methods of humanities, performed in parallel to the empirical studies, helps pedagogy as a whole to fulfil its purpose. Also it protects pedagogy against politicisation, indoctrination and instrumentalisation of its subject. Philosophically reinforced pedagogy can also strengthen philosophy by providing it with in-depth knowledge of education taken from the rich educational thought of philosophers.

This essay examines the appearance of distrust, disinterest and aversion to politics and political participation in today’s democracies by taking the Kantian concept of a republican state into account. The goal is to find out reasons for the lack of interest in politics by investigating certain aspects in today’s democracies that might be not in compliance with the Kantian understanding of republicanism. The essay will start with an examination of the republican state and why it is mostly referred to as being much as the parliamentary democracy we know today. Then, these results will be compared with modern democracies (USA, Switzerland and Germany) in order to find the underlying reasons for the lack of interest in politics and how it might be possible to overcome it.

gap between social needs and multicultural teacher training.
Opis:
A contemporary teacher should represent a high level of consciousness about multicultural challenges involved in senses and meanings, social priorities, political and pedagogical ideas. At present, vocational preparation of disciples of education and their elder colleagues to cope with multicultural problems through intercultural education is weak or doesn’t exist at all. Multicultural courses or workshops that sometimes appear among educational propositions of professional development are rather valuable announcements of further, hopefully compulsory, activities. Today we pose questions about mission, or raison d’etre of our universities. We want to define educational aims and objectives, the range of university freedom or its dependence on business and economy. Neoliberal values, economical language, profits and losses, effectiveness, product and success, and finally business categories of thinking and acting (treating people) profoundly change university communities. Thus traditional university values are dragged out by tough rules of market game. In spite of that, students of pedagogical faculties should get special, deepened and humanistic training. It raises costs of education, but is the best investment for the future. One of the pedagogical areas which should play an important role in that process, is didactics. Organizational forms of education and learning-and-teaching methods are important elements of that pedagogical sub-discipline. The process of updating teachers’ training goes hand in hand with multicultural challenges. New methods, strategies, and shorter techniques, should be applied to correct present situation. That may entail some structural changes inside university’s order. Organizational forms, being influenced by new methods (like Storyline Method and Project Method) and approaches responding to new social problems (developing common abilities to live in multicultural societies) may get a new shape. Teachers need to feel free in applying various forms and methods to reach, in most natural ways for their pupils from different backgrounds, educational aims – aims which will develop each individual personality due to global and humanistic priorities.
