In the paper I present the Bnei Baruch’s interpretation of the biblical story of creation (from the Book of Genesis), especially of the category of the “days of creation”. This doctrine is a small part of the whole system of Bnei Baruch “Kabbalah”. The commentary of the creation account is radically different from the classical theological interpretation. Bnei Baruch’s optics is the example of an nonliteral exegesis, but even in this one can clearly see its exceptionality. The key-categories around which the whole interpretation is focused are the ideas – in some way philosophical and psychological – of the “will to receive” (egoism) and the “will to bestow” (altruism). The “days of creation” characterize here the process of human correction, they are the stages of the tikkun, where the final stage is the so-called equivalence of form with the Creator. According to Bnei Baruch, the biblical words do not describe the physical world but deal with the “upper” reality – the spirituality. On the strength of this statement it is said that the language the whole Bible is written in is the “language of the branches” (while the spiritual realm is the root).

Realization of principle company objective – shareholder value maximization – requires maintaining of high growth rates coupled with achieving returns on investments higher than the cost of capital for the company. The condition for high growth and return is a possession by a company of sustainable competitive advantage. In times of “hypercompetition” and growing market uncertainty, the key to success is maintaining strategic flexibility. An option approach to strategy gives a clue about how firms can improve their strategic flexibility in order to effectively respond to volatile environment and gain sustainable competitive advantage. The main source of numerous strategic options for the company are its competences and underlying resources (mostly intangible). Thus the value creation process is a result of pursuing strategy aimed at the identification, development and optimal use of competences as a source of strategic options for the company

Opis:
Interpretation of the Japanese concept of ensuring safety requires referring to the category of the universal values. Sandel, who has been lately considered a proponent of the world of the universal values suggests that normative values and beliefs should be treated as relevant criteria of social order. Lack of actions in accordance with these values and beliefs or insufficiency of such actions disturbs, in accordance to Sandel, social order and destroys the democracy. Creation of the system of normative values and beliefs constitutes for this reason a process that is crucial to creating an individual identity of an entity that is aware of the socially and culturally universal criteria of the evaluation of the actions of a human being. This is why the category of values concerns usually social determinants of behaviour of an individual from which others expect maintaining a certain behavioural pattern, regardless of whether this pattern was assimilated and accepted by the individual or not. According to such an interpretation, values shall usually be transferred as part of culture and from generation to generation as an instrument enabling proper social and cultural adjustment.

The McMaster Children and Youth University (MCYU) was founded with a vision to develop family-based educational engagement through community partnerships. The cornerstone of the program is the MCYU’s credo, Question Discover Create. Question your environment, Discover your potential and Create a brighter future. The MCYU has developed partnerships with community organizations, University organizations, parents and the youth to facilitate its two primary outreach efforts. The first arm of the program, the on-campus lecture series, has reached more than 6000 young people and their family members over the last 7 years. This component of the program allows attendees to engage with the University faculty through family friendly lectures and provides an opportunity to pose Questions. The MCYU also provides inquiry-based workshops in public schools, libraries and community centers which are facilitated by multidisciplinary teams of undergraduate and graduate students from the McMaster University. These workshops allow the youth to experience the feeling of Discovering new knowledge and Creating solutions. In the 2017–2018 academic year the MCYU workshops connected with 964 unique individuals through 101 workshops. Many of those young people attended several workshops demonstrating the MCYU’s success at sustainable educational engagement. Taken together, the MCYU’s mission is to foster more engaged citizenship in our youth.

Drawing on the processual perspective in management this article explores the process of the institutionalization of new practice in the context of value co-creation. The Service-Dominant logic perspective places the notion of value creation in the interaction between an organization and its customers. Therefore the contemporary research stream shows a bias towards the notion of a customer as a crucial contributor and beneficiary in the value creation process [Vargo and Lusch 2006a, 2008]. Following recent calls for research with a holistic approach it may be assumed that there is an underdeveloped processual perspective on value co-creation that offers a cognitive framework of routines and activities performed on an everyday basis within the Giddensian structuration theory. Using the Giddensian theory value co-creation can be perceived as a platform for the adoption of new practices. The purpose of the article is to determine the role of value co-creation processes in the context of initiating and institutionalizing of new practice in an organization. A comparative case study was carried out which illustrates the thesis that spontaneous actions form an important category of initiating change within the everyday use of value co-creation.

This paper seeks to explore the issues of innovation and new path creation in the UK and Germany, illustrated through the case of the modern wind power industry. Taking an evolutionary perspective drawing on path dependence theory, the paper examines the role of niche environments in the creation of new economic pathways. The research finds that new economic pathways are more likely to develop in places where niche conditions provide receptive environments for innovations to flourish. The policy implications of the research include the importance of supporting niche environments that encourage growth in new sectors and the need for financial support to bring innovations to market, to encourage the development of new economic pathways.

The current article focuses on the special aspects of venture capital’s value creation methods, summarizing the author’s researches in this field. This article puts special emphasis on the scrutiny of the Hungarian market as the value creation practices on the domestic market have not been revealed thoroughly in the literature yet. The article attempts to examine the performance of venture capital, especially the JEREMIE funds, according to the limited available secondary data of the companies involved, which helps to assess the role of the government in bridging the financial gap and solving the problems in the venture capital market in Hungary. In this field reliable statistical data is not available, but there is an ongoing primer research led by the author, producing new information soon. The article presents the special investment and value creating methods of venture capitalists. In the first part of the article the theoretical background is presented, and in the second part of the article the author’s research results are demonstrated following the same order.

Given the rising role of users in innovation processes and the increasing amount of research in this field the aim of this paper is to explore the limits of our understanding of the user innovation (UI) concept. In doing so, the study addresses four basic questions: (1) Why do users create and share innovation? (2) Who is the user-innovator? (3) What type of innovation do users create? (4) How do users innovate? The results of a systematic literature review identified the main research streams on user innovation, together with weaknesses of past research and perspectives for future studies.

The analysis in the text presented concerns the phenomenon of self-cre- ation and self-perception, referring Paul de Man’s contemplations in the Autobiography as De-facement study, as well as early monography by Em- manuel Levinas, From Existence to Existents. Self-creational and autobi- ographical statement or action reveal moments in which a certain mul- tithreading is exposed, a tear, which becomes a basis for the analysis of works by Chuck Close, Yves Klein, Cy Twombly and Marina Abramović. Self- perception and self-introspection lay at grassroots of thinking and artistic creativity, and in a way also self-mythology of solipsistic ego. By creating a self-portrait the artist duels oneself in a most difficult self-creative clash. Impersonal “I” as another form of revealing “I”, it exposes through, among others, vigil and insomnia as a particular state of mind, similar to de Man’s “blurring” of the mind described by me.

The text presents the activity of the University of Children and Parents established by the Pedagogical University of Cracow. The primary aim of the study is to show examples of practices that can become an inspiration for other educational institutions of this type. The first part of the article presents the main goals and principles of the university’s activities and describes the types of meetings for children and their parents, as the means of broadly understood extra-curricular and parental education. In the second part, the author of the paper presents the general idea of the project ‘Artists in the world of pedagogy. The meetings in the field of art, art as a space for shaping cultural and artistic competences of children and youth – educational implications,’ with particular emphasis on the Small Academy of Art, which was created as a part of the project. Students of the University of Children and Parents have an opportunity to participate in the Academy and learn about the richness of Polish culture and art and pursue their creative passions.

Ważny aspekt rozważań stanowi dialogiczność między innymi takich fi lmów jak Edward Nożycoręki czy Jeździec bez głowy, bowiem właśnie żywioł intertekstualny czyni twórczość Burtona na tyle oryginalną, by móc ją określać mianem kina autorskiego.
This article is focused on playing with convention, genre, symbols and cultural clichés in selected Tim Burton’s fi lms. The most important aspect of this work is the dialogism in such fi lms as Edward Scissorhands or Sleepy Hollow, because intertextuality is exactly what makes Burton’s work original enough to be considered an auteur cinema.

The article is devoted to one of the most important dilemmas of the training of an actor, which for Konstantin Stanislavsky was the issue of freedom of creation within the school stage. According to the author of the “system,” precisely the very lack of freedom of creation is one of the greatest threats lying in wait for a young artist. The author of the present article remarks that passing on knowledge of artisanal nature, expressed in the strife for the result – examination at all costs or the result – diploma spectacle, frequently becomes a priority of education on stage. In the first part of the article, K. Stanislavsky’s ideas on the freedom of creation will be made closer. Also, the opinions of the Russian and Soviet theatre pedagogues – continuators of thought voiced by the author of the “system” will be a significant voice in the considerations presented below. The second part will be devoted to the main arguments which contribute to the rejection by K. Stanislavsky of the old model of work on the spectacle and role and which influenced the elaboration of the so-called method of the analysis of play and role in action (Rus. действен- ный анализ пьесы и роли).

The text includes a reflection on the category of self-cognition in the pedagogical context, understood as the space for realizing specific concepts of self-fashioning, self-creation based on self-knowledge. The text refers to two important dimensions of self-knowledge – it is the component of identity and is closely connected with the postulate of self-improvement, constituting the moral imperative of pedagogical profession. First, the theses of hermeneutics of the self in the philosophical and literary context were reconstructed, then the most important psychological sources of the idea of self-cognition were pointed out. At the end, the potential of art (theatre of movement), still little used in the pedagogical practice, was recalled in discovering and exploring oneself and one’s possibilities, meeting oneself, liking oneself or transcending oneself.
W tekście podjęto namysł nad kategorią samopoznania w kontekście pedagogicznym, rozumianym jako przestrzeń realizowania określonych koncepcji tworzenia samego siebie – autokreacji, której podstawą jest poznanie siebie. W tekście odniesiono się dwóch istotnych wymiarów samowiedzy – jest ona składnikiem tożsamości i ściśle łączy się z postulatem doskonalenia samego siebie, stanowiąc imperatyw moralny profesji pedagogicznej. W pierwszej kolejności zrekonstruowane zostały tezy hermeneutyki siebie w kontekście filozoficznym i literaturoznawczym, następnie wskazano najważniejsze psychologiczne źródła idei samopoznania. Na koniec przywołano wciąż mało wykorzystany w praktyce pedagogicznej potencjał sztuki (teatru ruchu) w odkrywaniu i poznawaniu siebie i swoich możliwości, spotkaniu siebie, polubieniu czy przekraczaniu siebie.
