Opis:
The research aim of this article is to look at human capital from the viewpoint of creating value for a company. In the era of the fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0), characterised by ever-increasing technological requirements, there is a demand for highlyqualified employees, including financial controllers, hence the key importance of their education and its scope. Knowledge limited to finance is not sufficient any more for future controllers since they will also have to have some orientation in the technology used by the company as well as its organization. As a result it will be necessary to implement a system of measuring the expenditure and the effects of creating intellectual capital in an enterprise. For these purposes it is possible to make use of the hard tools of controlling, such as budget, balanced chart of results, and the appropriate indicators for assessing this process.

Opis:
The article contains reflections on up-to-date theoretical knowledge and the need for the development of aesthetic education. The argument was derived from the philosophy of Henri Bergson, accepting the description of the concept of duration, variability and their interdependence as categories. The concept of creativity is approached with its distinction into artistic and lifelong creativity, showing the evolution of their differentiation and unification. The author indicates important and currently unresolved problems of aesthetic education.

Opis:
Vocational education was one of the most important stages of the educational system in those days, as it is today. In the interwar period vocational education took on a special significance, because with its help efforts were made to pursue specific educational goals aimed at shaping the attitudes that were then in force, defined as civic and patriotic. The analysis presented below shows the educational goals in reference to youth schools (Cracow vocational schools) focused mainly on youth organisations. Among the most important are Polish scouts. A wide organisational movement was developed alongside it, focusing on military and defense issues, touring, tourism, and sport and recreation. The organisational activities carried out within them were aimed at building strictly defined patterns of citizenship and patriotism among the local youth, which could help in defending their own homeland.

Central ethical concepts in education should be interpreted in a global frame, beyond the conceptual confines of the nation state. My underlying claim is that globalisation’s effects and significance are profound, but that while new global practices, norms and structures are increasingly evident, developing our key ethical concepts and assumptions accordingly is limited by the narrow and outdated moral universe of the nation state. The intertwined demands of justice and democracy in education now require conceptual adjustment to meet a different world. First, the features and significance of globalisation are considered, with particular reference to globalisation in education, as well as political globalisation as indicative of the now outdated model of the Westphalian state. Secondly, a revised conception of justice based on recognition of global association is sketched and illustrated by the case of the global campaign for Education for All. Thirdly, possibilities for globally democratic decision-making after the monopoly of the nation state are outlined, advancing the discussion towards some concluding observations about the implications of the argument for the education of global citizens.

The family is considered the closest environment for people, a natural habitat of the proper development and education of the child. The family performs a lot of functions, including: care, education, socialization, fulfilling the economic and emotional needs and many other. The proper education and care functions consist in organisation of the free time, teaching self-care, fulfilling psychical and social needs of the family members. Nowadays, many families are experiencing an emotional crisis, intergenerational relationships are disturbed, which in turn leads to educational difficulties. The family not always can perform its functions. Social assistance under the Act on family support and foster care system to support families experiencing care and education difficulties, offers many forms of help for these families. However, they are not always enough. The aim of the article is to present other family-supporting programs implemented by GOPS in Lubicz.

Początki polskiej pedagogii przedszkolnej sięgają lat 40. XIX wieku. Wraz z powstawaniem ochronek i ogródków dziecięcych oraz seminariów kształcących kandydatki na ochroniarki i wychowawczynie, zaczęły powstawać w polskim piśmiennictwie zupełnie oryginalne prace na temat rozwoju psychicznego, potrzeb i wychowania małego dziecka (B.F. Trentowski). Od tego też czasu były wydawane pierwsze polskie podręczniki dla ochroniarek, a później freblanek. Do lat 70. XIX wieku były to jednak tylko przykłady i przeróbki dzieł obcych, głównie J.V. Svobody i L. Chimaniego. Przełom XIX/XX wieku przyniósł z sobą stopniowy zanik tłumaczeń oraz przeróbek i pojawienie się coraz większej ilości książek oryginalnych, będących dorobkiem polskiej myśli pedagogicznej. Pierwsze z nich jednak, autorstwa Marii Weryho-Radziwiłłowiczowej i Justyny Strzemeskiej, bazowały jeszcze na mniej lub bardziej modyfikowanym systemie F.W. Froebla, popartym własnymi doświadczeniami pedagogicznymi i ówczesną wiedzą psychologiczną. Od początku XX wieku w polskiej pedagogii przedszkolnej wykształciły się dwa nurty, aktualne aż do lat 30. Pierwszy, bardziej tradycyjny, związany był ze zmodyfikowanym systemem F.W. Froebla, drugi natomiast rozwijał się pod wpływem ówczesnych osiągnięć psychologii oraz metod Marii Montessori i Owidiusza Decroly’ego. Bazując na tych dwóch orientacjach teoretyczno-metodycznych opracowywano podręczniki dla wychowawczyń przedszkoli. Prekursorami polskiej pedagogii przedszkolnej byli: August Cieszkowski, Teofil Nowosielski, Stanisław Karpowicz oraz Maria Weryho-Radziwiłłowiczowa, Justyna Strzemeska, Stefania Marciszewska-Posadzowa i Jadwiga Chrząszczewska.
The origins of Polish preschool pedagogy date back to the 1840s. Along with the development of kindergartens, children’s playgrounds, and colleges educating candidates for indergarten educators and teachers, completely original works on the development of psychological and educational needs of the small child (B.F. Trentowski) began to appear in the Polish literature on the subject. It was at that time that the first Polish textbooks for kindergarten educators and later kindergarten teachers (Froebel’s Kindergärtnerinnen) began to be published. Until the 1870s, however, these were only examples and adaptations of foreign works, mainly by J.V. Svoboda and L. Chimani. The turn of the 19th and the 20th centuries was marked by the gradual disappearance of translations and adaptations, and the emergence of a growing number of original books, representing the achievements of Polish pedagogical thought. The first of them, however, by Maria Weryho-Radziwiłłowiczowa and Justyna Strzemeska, were still based on F.W. Froebel’s system, more or less modified, supported by their own pedagogical experience and contemporary psychological knowledge. At the beginning of the 20th century, two trends, valid until the 1930s, developed in Polish preschool pedagogy. The former, more traditional one, was associated with F.W. Froebel’s modified system, while the latter developed under the influence of contemporary achievements of psychology, and the methods of Maria Montessori and Ovide Decroly. It was from these two theoretical and methodological perspectives-orientations that coursebooks for preschool educators were developed. August Cieszkowski, Teofil Nowosielski, Stanisław Karpowicz and Maria Weryho-Radziwiłłowiczowa, Justyna Strzemeska, Stefania Marciszewska-Posadzowa and Jadwiga Chrząszczewska were the precursors of Polish preschool pedagogy.

The education of staff and scientists needed by several spheres of the national economy or state departments is based on research work and cooperation with professional environment of future graduates. Therefore the research work has basic importance, because there cannot be spoken about development without: specified conceptual scientific base, as well as position in science, determined area of research work, specific scientific language, methodology of research attempts, well prepared crew and clarified paradigm. These is also the case of security sciences, which are functioning (together with defense sciences) in Poland since 2011. Both are continuing the output of former military sciences. But such state of affairs is not stable, so the higher education in the area of security is nowadays very important. Moreover scholar community should face the challenges related to continuing education in the field of security analysed in this article. Kształcenie kadr podejmujących działalność zawodową i naukową, a przez to spełniających niejako zapotrzebowanie odpowiedniego resortu czy segmentu gospodarki narodowej dokonuje się na bazie pracy naukowo-badawczej, jak i kontaktów ze środowiskiem, w którym przyszli absolwenci mają działać. Praca naukowo-badawcza ma podstawowe znaczenie, bowiem bez jasnego sprecyzowania obszaru badań i jego umiejscowienia w naukach, wykształcenia języka i bazy pojęciowej danej dziedziny, rozwinięcia metodologii prowadzenia prac badawczych, wykształcenia prowadzących badania kadr, czy wreszcie wypracowania paradygmatu danej dyscypliny trudno mówić o rozwoju. Nie inaczej jest z naukami o bezpieczeństwie. W swojej obecnej postaci funkcjonują one w Polsce od roku 2011, będąc do niedawna wraz z naukami o obronności, które „wchłonęły” (Rozporządzenie 2018/1818) kontynuacją dorobku nauk wojskowych. W kontekście tego krótkiego czasu i ciągłych zakusów związanych z pomijaniem ich dorobku fundamentalnego znaczenia nabiera prowadzona w uczelniach praca dydaktyczna na kierunkach studiów związanych z obszarem bezpieczeństwa. Próżno ich szukać w najnowszych propozycjach restrukturyzacji nauk, jak choćby w propozycjach nowej orientacji nauk autorstwa Organizacji ds. Współpracy Ekonomicznej i Rozwoju (ang. Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development – OECD), tj. w wykazie dziedzin nauk i technik według klasyfikacji OECD (Wykaz dziedzin… WWW). W tym kontekście grono zajmujące się naukami o bezpieczeństwie musi sprostać przedstawianym w niniejszym artykule wyzwaniom związanym z kontynuacją działalności edukacyjnej w sferze bezpieczeństwa.

Discussions about the support system for children experiencing violence have been taking place both on an international forum as well as locally in Poland. (Zmarzlik, 2011; Wójcik, 2013; Jarosz, 2007; Jarosz, 2008; Jarosz, 2018; Dąbrowska, 2012). The questions about who should undertake tasks in this area and what their scope and type should be are still unresolved. Individuals who work with abused children agree that teachers may be an important link in the support system due to their role. The purpose of the current study is to examine the tasks of the school in the context of the experience of children growing up in a family with a problem of domestic violence. In contemporary discourses on preventing domestic violence against children, the active participation of the children themselves in creating solutions in this area is increasingly emphasized. Due to the participatory and emancipatory character of the project, the current research represents the paradigm of qualitative methodology and, within it, the assumptions of radical humanism. The final result is a description which includes answers to the above research questions and an analysis of legal and statutory actions aimed at social emancipation through education and participation of individuals experiencing domestic violence. In light of international standards of support for abused children, education can and should play a significant support role. Education and participation are considered significant factors in the social emancipation of children - victims of domestic violence - and their families. However, in the perception of individuals experiencing violence, schools do not effectively fulfill their role in this respect. It seems that the place a teacher will take in the process of supporting abused children and their families will depend largely on how the teachers themselves define their own role, as well as on the appropriate legislative solutions for their education. I think that the curricula of teachers’ studies should not only include obligatory exercises in cooperation procedures and communication skills workshops, but they should also address issues shaping active attitudes towards the situations the teachers will find themselves in over the course of their careers.

In the article, I focus on the children’s perception of the everyday life in a therapeutic common room, where they spend time after school. In my research, I gave voice to small charges so that they could tell what this place is for them. I present the statements of children who spend a few hours in a common room every day. I place my research in the qualitative trend, in the research I use the analysis of personal documents created intentionally, these are written statements of children, which contain their assessment, thoughts, reflections and feelings they experience in relation to staying in a common room. Rarely from a child’s point of view, phenomena, places and processes are described. The aim of my research is to get to know, understand and describe the world of the common room seen through the eyes of children, participants of the offered support. In research I am looking for the answer to the question: How do children perceive everyday life in a therapeutic common room? I make the description according to the categories selected from children’s statements. From the analysis of children’s written statements regarding the perception of a common room by children, in which they spend daily time after school, the following conclusions arise. Children like to stay in a common room, they feel safe, have a good time and have fun, in their opinion a lot is happening in a common room, the common room is a very “cool” place. In a common room, children have many colleagues. They like a commonroom staff. They like to participate in activities organized in a common room, they have their favourite games. Children also like to spend time outdoors, on the playground, on Orlik, on walks and on trips. Children like a common room equipment, in particular toys and rooms, they especially like to stay in the kitchen.

Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na analizie różnych metod nauczania oraz edukacji prawniczej na świecie. Globalizacja prawa jako jeden z efektów globalizacji na świecie powoduje konieczność wykorzystania wiedzy z różnych systemów prawnych przez prawników, którzy pracują w różnych branżach i instytucjach prawnych. W związku z tym konieczne jest zastosowanie metod komparatystycznych w nauczaniu prawa, które przygotują prawników do dynamicznych zmian w systemach prawnych. W wykorzystaniu takich metod nauczania konieczne są określone umiejętności i wiedza oraz różnorodna metodologia prawnej interpretacji. Ograniczenia edukacji prawnej jedynie do określonych metod nauczania potencjalnie powodują brak przygotowania prawników w obliczu ewolucji i zbliżania się prawnych instytucji w współczesnym świecie. Jest zatem oczywiste, że konieczna jest zmiana tradycyjnego nauczania prawa. Ponadto edukacja prawnicza powinna być powiązana z praktycznymi aspektami wykonywania zawodów, co nadal nie jest szeroko stosowane na uniwersytetach europejskich.

The text is a developed and supplemented record of many hours of conversation between Prof. Irena Wojnar, the oldest employee of the Faculty of Education at the University of Warsaw, and Dr. Adam Fijałkowski, the current editor-in-chief of “The Pedagogical Quarterly”. The authors focus on trying to characterize and evaluate the academic achievements of Prof. Czesław Kupisiewicz (1924–2015). On the basis of her own memories, Prof. Wojnar discusses the pedagogical views and organizational assumptions of Prof. Kupisiewicz – including his assumptions of pedagogy of culture and the humanistic education, the role of international cooperation, his role in publishing a series of books and journals.

Zabezpieczenie potrzeby bezpieczeństwa uczniów to wyzwanie dla placówek oświatowych, ponieważ pojawiające się negatywne zjawiska, takie jak: agresja, przemoc, używanie przez młodzież i dzieci substancji psychoaktywnych, wywierają niekorzystny wpływ na ich rozwój i zdrowie w okresie adolescencji i dorastania. W niniejszej pracy, w oparciu o dane z piśmiennictwa, zaprezentowano definicje bezpieczeństwa, bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego oraz przedstawiono krótki rys historyczny opieki pielęgniarskiej nad uczniami. Omówiono zadania pielęgniarki środowiska nauczania i wychowania, wskazując na jej rolę w planowaniu i realizowaniu świadczeń profilaktycznej opieki zdrowotnej w zakresie promocji zdrowia, profilaktyki chorób, świadczeń diagnostycznych oraz świadczeń pielęgnacyjno-leczniczych. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie roli pielęgniarki środowiska nauczania i wychowania w obszarze bezpieczeństwa zdrowotnego uczniów w szkole.
The protection of students’ safety needs constitutes a challenge for educational institutions because of the fact that some negative phenomena, such as aggression, violence or abuse of psychoactive substances by children and adolescents have a negative impact on their health and development in adolescence. This paper contains the following definitions based on literary resources: safety, health safety and a brief historical overview of nursing care students. The tasks performed by nurses in the fields of education and formation have been discussed, with particular stress on their role in planning and implementation of preventive health care services in the fields of health promotion, disease prevention, diagnostic services as well as nursing and medical benefits. The purpose of this article is to describe the role played by a nurse in the fields of education and formation in the area of health safety of students in schools
