Opis:
The evaluation process generates not only procedures of assessment, but also negotiation of evaluation questions, criteria, indicators and, first of all, purposes. All participants in the process have their specific roles, rights and elaborate design of evaluation. Such approach to evaluation studies makes this type of research deeply involved in personal and social interaction of the participants and animates developmental resources of particular communities. That is why evaluation as an “invitation to development” is an important component of organizational and educational culture of each school. At the same time the process could be used in a very instrumental way to control and even manipulate the procedures and its results as a strategy of bureaucratic management.

Opis:
The article is devoted to the problem of human relationships with special attention paid to the experience of helplessness, powerlessness and social anxiety in contacts with other people. The problem is described from the existential-psychological and social-cultural perspective. At first the author presents the essence and reasons for feeling helpless and anxious in the psychological context. Then various aspects of human alienation in contemporary culture are enumerated. In the second part of the article the author discusses the category of usefulness and utility in thinking about oneself and other people, the alienation of language and loss of the so-called “individual initiative”. Theoretical considerations have been supplemented with the results of the author’s own research. At the end of the article the author indicates the role of education in preventing the development of helplessness among young people.

Poland, like many European countries, is moving away from a welfare state thus it is essential to focus on the effective use of social work, which aims to encourage individuals and groups to change their life situation. Social assistance clients with the support of social workers are taking action to permanently become independent and overcome the crisis. The process of promoting and strengthening the correct attitudes to life in social work, in addition to relevant laws and regulations, is determined by the relationship that is formed between the social worker and the client. Opis:
Recent years confirm that new media have become one of the basic elements of creating communication strategies for the EU institutions. Officials and main decision-makers are increasingly involved in the realm of social media. It is even more significant when we observe that they make use of this tools in a fully transparent way. Such activities add new dynamics to European communication policy. This paper discusses the real-time nature of the Internet communication sphere of the EU institutions created within the guidelines of the European Commission’s new communication strategy, which makes social media complementary to conventional informational operations.

Game Theory

Opis:
Game theory can be viewed as an important contribution to multi-agent modeling, with widespread applications in economics and other social sciences. This paper presents two distinct approaches to extending – sociologizing – classical game theory: firstly, a system/institutional approach – social science game theory (SGT), and secondly, Erving Goffman’s interactionist approach (I-game theory). The two approaches are presented and compared; they are also contrasted with the classical theory. The article ends by concluding that due to the social science game theory, sociologists and social scientists are no longer forced into the classical straightjacket with its hyper-rationality, anomic players, and the absence of any social fabric (institutional and cultural formations). Moreover, the new game theory offers a reliable toolbox of social science concepts and methods for describing, analyzing, and explaining highly diverse interaction phenomena. We claim that those two approaches have already proved themselves useful for investigating and modeling a variety of interaction processes including cooperation, conflict, and negotiation.

Opis:
Creating a corporate image/brand in the world today is almost the duty of every company. That’s what is most important, however, is the fact that it should be the result of the strategy we adopt, and the plan by which the image will be managed. Inbound marketing gives us the opportunity to inspire customers not only with our products, but also to explore the world of our company. A customer who finds it as a permanent part of himself feels the bound with us – treats your company as someone close to him. This special relationship is based on the management, we can create an image using a very popular, but the same demanding medium like fan page. Providing customers with a space where they can exchange views, opinions with other users and provides a great opportunity to create a whole community of people who look at a company in a similar way – a way that we as a company helped to create. The basis for such action is knowledge – about the client, but also about ourselves as a company.

Opis:
This article aims to analyze the statements published by Polish MPs about the situation of migrants in a social media platform, Twitter. The results of the study show that politicians rarely raise the subject of migration, although a number of important events took place in the international arena regarding the problems of migrants from war-torn areas. Parliamentarians’ tweets are characterized by brevity and generality. They focus on informing about the risks associated with accepting migrants from war-torn areas. A large number of tweets is an appeal for humanitarian aid for migrants. Some posts refer to the chances of development of the Polish economy as a result of economic migration. Parliamentarians’ statements correlate with political, social and psychological factors that are influenced by the complexity of the subject of migration, polarization of public opinion and the existence of stereotypes and prejudice against migrants.
