Opis:: The author shows results of legal acts and subject literature explanation with reference to social welfare aid for the unemployed in the 20s of the XX century at the beginning of social welfare system for labour market in Poland. The study was carried out by using the “desk research” methodology. The legal acts analysis presented constructive and comprehensive systemic solutions for the workless after the First World War and at the first ten years of the interwar in the Second Republic of Poland. The contemporary generation may reflect on them and learn from the national historical traditions and experiences.

Opis:: Disability is a complex subject, concerning various aspects of life. Generally, it may be permanent (significantly affecting the individual’s life) or temporary (fully or partially recoverable when appropriate therapy or specialist care is provided). To define it correctly, we must take into consideration the relationship between human health (including such factors as gender, age and education) and social circumstances. The problem of disability is approached from different perspectives offered by the following five disciplines: medicine, psychology, pedagogics, sociology and law. An in-depth analysis of these approaches helps to better understand the problem of disability and difficulties disabled people face.
