    This article presents the issue of recruitment and use of children by adults as soldiers to armed struggle. Presents a picture of the modern world, including the countries, continents, in which children soldiers and rifle AK-47 as the living shields without name, dignity and personality reflect the life. Adults of this world of technology, space, nanotechnology use minors to fighting tribal, religious, narkotykotion, etc. Despite established international conventions on the rights of the child, the African Charter of the rights of the child, and the opposition of the public referred to resorts, countries still use thousands of children as soldiers who have become tools in the hands of adults.

    Respect for human dignity is a prerequisite for building society, as well as the global population without war. To understand the reasons why military conflicts, so we have to realize that they still constituted a violation of the dignity of human perception. With this societal mistake that violates human dignity are encountered also in various pathological forms of organized society systems, such as it was. socializmus. Lecture Notes the importance of respecting the principles of human dignity even today.     Human dignity is a well-known concept among Western countries since after World War II, when states, in an effort to create a new platform of cooperation with a view to guaranteeing peace, were looking for an axiological foundation of the new order. The findings described in the article may serve to underpin the following notions, which have to be the object of further research on relations between the human dignity principle and rules of criminal liability, guilt in particular. First, the “guilt standard” is obligatory, whenever a state intends to punish a person. Second, punishment can be meted out only to an offender with an ability to bear responsibility. In other words, only a person whose characteristic derived from the principle of dignity is fully actualized can be punished. Third, punishing should be preceded by an analysis of the degree of guilt. The more eager the perpetrator was to act against the legal system and against the values protected by it, the severer punishment should be meted out. Finally, law should provide for exclusion of culpability when the human dignity principle demands one to act in a manner that is outwardly criminal, but was committed due to a motivation that ought to be excused in the light of the dignity principle.

    Human dignity in the Polish law is considered as the basis for the system of rights and freedoms regulated in Chapter II of the Constitution of 1997. In turn, the rule of law is a principle of constitutional democracy respecting human rights. Procedural rules focus on the manner in which the state operates, also in relation to individuals. Procedural justice as a principle derived from the rule of law can be defined as a set of values whose guarantee in legal norms and implementation in procedural practice affects their fairness and enables their positive evaluation. The jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal considers the principle of procedural fairness as one of the principles of the rule of law and binds it with the right to court which means exactly: 1) the right of access to court, 2) the right to really fair procedure, 3) the right to court judgment, and 4) the right to appropriate shape of the system of the authorities examining cases. Appropriate shaping (fairness) of the procedure within the meaning presented by the Constitutional Tribunal ensures in particular that the parties of proceedings have: the right to be heard; the right to obtain a justification of the decision, which prevents arbitrary action of the court; ensured predictability of the proceedings; guarantee of procedural measures balancing the position of the parties; ensured the control of the decision by a superior instance; guarantee of impartiality of the judge. Meeting these requirements guarantees respect for dignity of a man as a participant in the proceedings.

    During the Renaissance an increased interest in the problem of the immortality of the soul was observed, and although this question became particularly important for the philosophers of the sixteenth century, it is worth noting that it was widely discussed already in the quattrocento. This article presents some results of the research on the revival of the analyses regarding human immortality; it discusses the impact of a humanists’ new vision of man and education on the dispute on immortality. Studia humanitatis, as an expression of Renaissance anthropocentrism, had the effect in the form of treaties on human dignity and nobility. Adding to this the concept of individualism in the humanistic pedagogy and new translations and editions of ancient works, including De Anima of Aristotle and the commentaries on this text, we have an explanation for the intensification of the discussions on the immortality of human soul.

    The article discusses the social situation of people, who are older, in a difficult socio-economic conditions, disability or chronic illness. These people require support in the twenty-four-hour living caring and nursing services forms. The article presents the system of Polish social assistance in the care facilities aspects and recommendations of the European Commission with Expert Group on the Transition from Institutional to Community – based Care, that guarantee for human rights and a better quality of life. The change of the social policy system from institutional to environmental services and implemented among the local community is discussed in this study. The argumentation for the development of these services is undeniable, because human is at the center of all assistance activities.

    The paper offers a view on Hannah Arendt's understanding of the political, and hence of the factors (structural rather than historical) that destroy true politics and human dignity. Her interpretation of a mass society is discussed as the result of confusing private and public spheres. In its fully-fledged form this results in totalitarian movements, which homogenise individuals thereby corrupting the political dimension of the common world. The author attempts to explain this process.
