Opis:: During this year’s homily on Holy Thursday Pope Benedict XVI explored the subject of priestly obedience. He drew attention to some European priests’ incitement to disobedience which ignored the teaching of the Magisterium of the Church. This article argues for the importance and role of priestly obedience in the Catholic Church. Firstly, it identifies the nature of obedience through a close examination of the documents of the Second Vatican Council. Secondly, it identifies Pope Paul VI teaching on obedience through the magisterium of the Church. Finally, the nature of obedience in the Code of the Canon Law from 1983 onwards as well as practical manifestations of obedience pursuant to the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples is discussed.

Opis:: This article analyzes the relationship, according to Aegidius Romanus, between spiritual power and temporal power. From the point of view of the Augustinian author, the autonomy of the world or that of second causes, following St. Thomas Aquinas, must be respected, so that the motions of nature are not usually hampered by any extraordinary intervention. However, this intervention will always be possible in the form of a miracle and according to a special law. Similarly, temporal power normally follows its own goals, without interventions ab extra, nevertheless, the Pope’s plenitude of power can suspend, if necessary (in casu), the power of the secular princes.

Opis:: La forma más importante de regulación de las relaciones entre el Estado y la Iglesia Católica es el concordato. Como tratado internacional bilateral es único debido al hecho de que una de las partes es la Santa Sede. Se analizaron los concordatos, que debido a la posición dominante de la Iglesia católica en América Latina, fortalecieron aún más la influencia de esta institución religiosa. Debido a las diferencias en la teoría de la institución del concordato, se han seleccionado los concordatos del siglo XIX y los que fueron firmados después del Concilio Vaticano II. De entre ellos se sometieron a un análisis detallado los acuerdos más destacados. Esto permitió identificar las áreas que se mantuvieron bajo la influencia directa de la Iglesia católica, y por lo tanto determinar los efectos de este tipo de intervención, que a menudo se siente hasta hoy en día.
The most important form of regulating relations between the State and the Catholic Church is the concordat. As a bilateral international agreement it is specific due to the fact that involves the Holy See as a one of the parties. Concordats that have been analyzed, due to the dominant position of the Catholic Church in Latin America, additionally strengthen influences of this religious association. Considering the differences in the concordat theory, the nineteenth century concordats and those signed after Second Vatican Council have been singled out. From among them agreements that stand out from the others have been particularly studied, analyzed. This allowed to identify areas that have remained under direct influence of the Catholic Church, and thus to determine the effects of this type of intervention, which often exists to this day.
