    The theory of values by Max Scheler became one of the most influential theories in XX century. However, the term ‘value’ is insufficient to build a particular moral behavior. Under the Scheler’s concept of ‘value’ there is the concept of ‘love’ by Saint Augustine of Hippo. Thus, if the Augustinian influence is followed, one may go beyond the lacks of the Scheler’s theory. Through these lines one can trace the way leading from the concept of Christian love to the concepts of value, love and person by Scheler. There is, however, a question whether it is possible to teach values. According to the author if values are to be taught, the education of values is to be preceded by teaching love as a virtue.

    The thought of the Cappadocian fathers is linked to the Trinitarian nature of God. They strive for formulating a definition of divine person. The extent of the Cappadocian notion of person covers two other important ideas which refer to being someone: an ability to be in a fraternal relation with others, and a disposition to enter such a relation voluntarily. The Christian idea of divine person also implicates a concept of infinite dignity. The authoress shows that at the grassroots of the Western concept of person, associated with human inalienable rights, there are ceratin metaphysical intuitions.

    This article examines Jean-Louis Chrétien’s conception of prayer within the framework of what has been called “the theological turn of French phenomenology”—Dominique Janicaud’s critical expression against phenomenologies that explicitly or implicitly question what is the foundation of phenomenology: the present. While Chrétien seeks to carry out a phenomenology of prayer, of the religious man, without entering beliefs of a positive religion, Janicaud claims that it is not possible, because behind such an intention there is always God who merely does not want to be called by His name.

    This article is a re-edited text of the conference which was presented by the author. It discusses the problem of God’s justice in relation to an individual on the example of the Book of Job. The first part of the article starts with the question how difficult or even insignificant is to talk about God based on the Bible. The second part tries to demonstrate on the basis of the Book of Job in what way and how much great biblical texts have to offer both to believers and unbelievers.
    Il presente articolo è una rielaborazione di una conferenza tenuta dall’autore. Il suo argomento è la questione della giustizia divina in contrapposizione alla situazione concreta dell’essere umano, prendendo come modello il testo del libro di Giobbe. Una prima parte si rivolge alla domanda, come mai sia diventato difficile e forse irrilevante parlare di Dio a partire della Bibbia. La seconda parte cerca di mostrare, a partire di una riflessione sul libro di Giobbe, in quale modo i grandi testi biblici abbiano ancora molto da dire ai credenti e ai non credenti.
    Niniejszy artykuł jest przepracowanym na nowo tekstem konferencji wygłoszonej przez autora. Porusza problem Bożej sprawiedliwości w odniesieniu do konkretnej sytuacji istoty ludzkiej, biorąc za przykład tekst Księgi Hioba. Pierwsza część artykułu wychodzi od pytania, jak trudne, a może nawet nieznaczące, stało się mówienie o Bogu oparte na Biblii. Druga część artykułu, z kolei, stara się ukazać na podstawie Księgi Hioba, w jaki sposób i jak niemało wielkie teksty biblijne mają jeszcze do powiedzenia wierzącym i niewierzącym.

    The article shows how in the light of God’s Mercy a human being rediscovers and realises the basic truth that in his/her heart is a great longing and hunger for God’s love. God invites to listen to what He says to humans through the words of the Holy Bible. He invites people to listen and realise the loving presence of God inside. The author of the article shows that trust is the fruit of a relationship in which a person knows that he/she is loved. Trust presupposes a longing for God and a sincere search for Him in everything. The road to trust is expressed in three attitudes: in seeking God inside; in sensitive listening to His voice in one’s heart; and in trustingly opening oneself to His love and immersion in His mercy. Thanks to loneliness, silence and prayer, a human being discovers the Source of life which lies deep inside his/her heart. In the human being, in his/her interior is the source from which he/she draws life and nourishes hope. Immersion in this source of mercy means that one experiences inner change.
    Artykuł pokazuje, jak w świetle Bożego Miłosierdzia człowiek na nowo odkrywa i uświadamia sobie podstawową prawdę, że w jego sercu kryje się wielka tęsknota za miłością i głód Boga. Bóg sam zaprasza do słuchania tego, co mówi do człowieka przez słowa Pisma Świętego. Zaprasza, aby człowiek, słuchając, uświadomił sobie pełną miłości obecność Boga w swoim wnętrzu. Autor artykułu pokazuje, że ufnośćjest owocem relacji, w której człowiek wie, że jest kochany. Ufność zakłada tęsknotę za Bogiem i szczere poszukiwanie Go we wszystkim. Droga do ufności wyraża się w trzech postawach: w poszukiwaniu Boga w swoim wnętrzu, we wrażliwym słuchaniu Jego głosu we własnym sercu oraz w ufnym otwarciu się na Jego miłość i zanurzeniu w Jego miłosierdziu. Dzięki samotności, milczeniu i modlitwie człowiek odkrywa Źródło życia, które kryje się w głębi jego serca. W człowieku bowiem, w jego wnętrzu, jest źródło, z którego czerpie on życie i karmi swoją nadzieję. Zanurzenie w tym źródle miłosierdzia sprawia, że człowiek doświadcza wewnętrznej przemiany.

    Jakiej duchowości potrzebują dzisiaj świeccy? Istnieje dzisiaj wielka potrzeba zrozumienia teologicznego znaczenia „charakteru świeckiego” – specyficznego kolorytu ludzi świeckich. Laik jest chrześcijaninem powołanym do zjednoczenia z Bogiem, do świętości; ktoś, kto żyje w świecie i jego strukturach, a stamtąd jest wezwany do znalezienia Boga w zwykłym życiu – rodziny, pracy, relacji społecznych. Jeśli misja Kościoła polega – wraz ze zbawieniem dusz – na uświęceniu świata, nie można nadal ignorować teologicznego i apostolskiego charakteru codziennej pracy ludzi świeckich pośrodku świata. Jest ona bowiem uświęcona przez Boga oraz uświęcająca. Niezbędne jest zatem docenienie świeckości – uznania powołania i misji świeckich w Kościele. Nauczanie Kościoła przypomina również, że niezbędne jest podniesienie świadomości pasterzy, aby umieli ukazywać wiernym świeckim ich wezwanie do odnowienia świata w Chrystusie.
    What spirituality do lay people need today? There is a great need today to understand the theological meaning of the “secular character” – the characteristic “color” of lay people. The layman is a Christian called to unite with God, to holiness; someone who lives in the world and its structures, and from there is called to find God in ordinary life – family, work, social relations. If the mission of the Church is – along with the salvation of souls – to sanctify the world, one cannot continue to ignore the theological and apostolic nature of the daily work of lay people in the middle of the world. It is sanctified by God and sanctifying. It is therefore necessary to appreciate secularity – recognition of lay vocation and mission in the Church. The teaching of the Church also reminds that it is necessary to raise the awareness of pastors so that they can show lay faithful their call to renew the world in Christ.

    El Dios que experimenta, vive y comunica Santa Teresa en sus escritos es el Dios Trinidad, presente en su vida y actuando en ella desde el comienzo hasta su plenitud. Esto signifia que la Santa vive una especial relación con cada una de las Personas de la Santísima Trinidad y con la Trinidad en su conjunto. Resaltamos en este estudio a la misma Santa como una biografía teológica, su existencia doxológica, la ordinaria experiencia de sentirse inhabitada por la Trinidad. Hacemos especial énfasis en el realismo de la inhabitación trinitaria en la vida ordinaria del creyente según se desprende del testimonio de Santa Teresa
    The God with whom Saint Teresa experiments, lives and communicates in her writings is the Trinitarian God, who is present in her life and acts in her from the beginning to the fullness of plenitude. This indicates that the Saint lived a special relation with each one of the Persons of the Holy Trinity, and with the Holy Trinity as a complete unit. The study highlights the life of the Saint from a theologicalbiographical, her doxological existence, and the ordinary experience of feeling herself to be inhabited by the Trinity. Special emphasis is put on the reality of this Trinitarian inhabitation in the ordinary life of the believer, as the testimony of Saint Teresa illuminates it.
