Opis:: The financing of innovations is an extensive problem which is theoretically greatly developed and elaborated. This problem represents an important topic of the economic research viewed from diverse angles in last decades. The contribution focuses to the development of theoretical views on the financing of innovations, together with different accompanying problems. It summarizes the possibilities and sources of the innovations financing with accent on the role of banks, financial markets, venture capital and government agencies. In the conclusion we are attempting to review and evaluate the described possibilities of innovation financing.

Opis:: Pomimo braku spójnej definicji partnerstwa publiczno-prywatnego (PPP) w literaturze naukowej istnieje zgoda, że PPP to współpraca pomiędzy sektorami publicznym i prywatnym mającymi na celu zapewnienie usług. Główne różnice dotyczą natury prawnej tego partnerstwa (spółka lub umowa), zakresu ryzyka podjętego przez partnera prywatnego, źródeł finansowania wydatków kapitałowych, formy własności, czasu trwania partnerstwa. Kluczowymi kwestiami, które odróżniają PPP od innych form współpracy pomiędzy sektorami publicznym i prywatnym, są: integracja infrastruktury inwestycji i świadczenia usług publicznych, istotne ryzyko związane z transferem do prywatnego partnera, długi czas trwania partnerstwa, własność prywatna lub kontrola związanej z tym infrastruktury.
Despite inconsistent approaches to the definition of public-private partnership (PPP) in technical literature, there was an identified consensus that PPP is a cooperation between public and private sectors with the objective to provide public services. The main differences lie in the legal nature of the relationship (joint venture or contract), extent of risks taken by private partner, sources of financing capital expenditure, form of ownership, duration of the partnership. The key features that distinguish PPP from other forms of cooperation between the public and private sectors are the integration of infrastructure investment and public service delivery, significant risk transfer to the private partner, the long duration of the partnership; the private ownership or control of the related infrastructure.
