    Opis:
    In article the question of accuracy increase for radar-tracking observations is considered by transition to diverse differential lines of position - to isogons and hyperboles. The simple technique of construction of such lines of position is offered. The mathematical description for an estimation of casual errors of a method is resulted; mathematical expression for calculation of a gradient direction of an isogons is resulted.

    Opis:
    The factor of thermal efficiency, used for the assessement of the use of heat in the diesel engine working cycles, has been based on the the first law of thermodynamics only. This paper indicates the fact that to achieve more comprehensive thermodynamic analyses it is necessary to use factors based on the two laws of thermodynamics. One such factor herein proposed is the exoergic efficiency. The method for the determination of this factor for the main engine is presented. Original relations involving the exoergic efficiency are set out. The factor depends on the ambient temperature.

    Opis:
    The article discusses the results of using waste gas heat from heat power plant boilers. The authors suggest working out rational schemes adaptation for heat-surfaces staying in boiler's air-gas path. There is showed principle possibility of condensation and low-temperature save heat exchangers use on ship power plants.

    Opis:
    The mathematical description of accuracy as the basic criterion of the safety at (...) with the use of a radar and AIS is presented. The accuracy of a radar and that of an AIS in the mode of coordinates relayed from GPS and DGPS is compared. It is proved that within the limits of an observation zone and a zone of maneuvering the AIS is always more effective, than the radar, while and the radar is more effective in a zone of excessive approach on condition that the AIS uses the GPS.

    The present article is devoted to the results of calculation of ZD72/48 type (of different models - with and without undercut) engine atomizers in tense-deformed condition by the finite elements method. Besides, the article deals with the influence of heat and mechanical loads and design features on the atomizer body deformation for that type of engine.

    Opis:
    This case study, involving a ship of the STRM type, has shown that increased vibrations in crew accommodations to a large extent depend on stresses exerted by the screw propeller. It has been found that the frequency of propeller blades and its second harmonic have the largest effect on ship hull. The amplitudes of the first and fourth order stresses were calculated.
