    Opis:
    This article is about the Trinitarian theology of St. Ambrose of Milan concluded in De fi de, the most important and most complex bishop’s work of dogmatic. It focuses in particular on the innovative and original aspects of the theological thought of the Father of the Church. The fi rst point is given status quaestionis of Ambrosian theology. In the past, used to be attributed to Ambrose opinion good “politics” church, but poor theologian. More recent studies show one-sidedness of this opinion. In the second section are therefore discussed the aspects of Trinitarian theology Doctor of the Church, which show the specifi city and originality of his theological refl ection. They include: a new understanding of the role of the Emperor in matters of religion; relationship between faith and ecclesial interpretation of Scripture, the new interpretation of the term homoousios used by the Council of Nice, a development theme of unity of the Trinity by reference to the unity of the nature and operation of divine Persons, and not only in based on the idea arché, deepening the understanding of the mystery of the Incarnation; Christ as the center of Ambrosian spirituality, and fi nally, the relationship between faith in the Holy Trinity and the unity of the Church. In light of these issues emerges own and original theological “personality” of Bishop of Milan, and in this way it becomes possible to more comprehensive assessment of and appreciation for his contribution to the refl ection of the Trinity.

    W artykule podjęto zagadnienie posługi i tożsamości teologa świeckiego. Ukazanesą one w perspektywie dogmatycznej, utworzonej na koncepcji Kościoła według Vaticanum II. Celem opracowania wybranej kwestii jest uzupełnienie stanu badań, utworzonego z opracowań różnych specjalności, o refleksję teologiczno-systematyczną. Omówiono różnice i podobieństwa między teologiem świeckim a duchownym oraz eklezjalny potencjał posługi teologa świeckiego. Wnioski wskazały na sens tej posługi w działalności Kościoła ad extra. Posługa ta obejmuje dbałość o to, aby we wszystkich sferach ludzkiego życia i działania była realizowana idea królestwa Bożego i Boża wola uświęcenia każdego człowieka.
    The article deals with the question of the ministry and identity of the lay theologian. They are presented in a dogmatic perspective, formed on the concept of the Church according to Vaticanum II.The aim of the study of the selected issue is to complement the state of research formed from studies of various specialities with a theological-systematic reflection. The differences and similarities between lay and clerical theologians were discussed as well as the ecclesial potential of the ministry of the lay theologian. The conclusions pointed to the meaning of this ministry in the activity of the Church ad extra. This ministry involves ensuring that the idea of the kingdom of God and God's will for the sanctification of every human being is realised in all spheres of human life and action.

    W kontekście opublikowanego w 2005 r. osobistego dziennika Yves Congara OP (1904–1995), datowanego na lata 1946–1956, autor artykułu podnosi kwestię mistycznej samotności teologa w jego refleksji naukowej nad słowem objawionym. Ukazuje, że doświadczenie osamotnienia mistyka w Kościele katolickim przez Y. Congara i doznanego pewnego niezrozumienia ze strony jego społeczności hierarchicznej wobec prezentowanych przez siebie wyników badań teologicznych dotyczących eklezjologii, nie będąc wyłącznym udziałem piszącego Journal d’un théologien, zdaje się stanowić nieodłączną charakterystykę wszystkich czyniących refleksję nad słowem objawionym, jeżeli tylko podejmują próbę pogłębionego jego rozumienia jako Słowa, które przemawia w ludzkim „dziś”. Autor rozważań proponuje usytuowanie rozumienia Congarowego problemu w perspektywie miejsca i roli teologa w Kościele, a więc pozostającego w szczególnym mistycznym i teologicznym oraz teologicznie twórczym „twarzą w twarz” wobec Słowa w jego wydarzaniu się w człowieczej rzeczywistości, następujących ludzkich pokoleń.
    In the context of the published in 2005 personal diary of Yves Congar O.P. (1904 – 1995), dated from 1946 – 1956, the author of the article raises a question of mystical solitude of the theologian in his scientific reflection on the word revealed. The mystic’s isolation and alienation experienced by Congar in the Catholic Church as well as his hierarchical community’s incomprehension regarding the findings of his theological research are not feelings exclusive to the author of Journal d’un théologien. On the contrary, they seem to constitute an inherent characteristic of all those giving thought to the word revealed, those who attempt to reach its profound meaning as the Word which appeals to people of today. The author of the reflection proposes to approach Congar’s problem taking into consideration the perspective of a theologian’s role and place in the Church – with him recognized as being in a specific, mystical and theologically creative ‘face to face’ with the Word in its human reality of successive generations.

    Obecny stan teologii moralnej w Polsce nosi pewne znamiona kryzysu, gdyż zimniejsza się liczba studentów nauk teologicznych i słabnie wiara, która może uskrzydlać czytelne świadectwo teologów. Postępujący proces sekularyzacji staje się zarazem wyzwaniem do głębszej interpretacji współczesnej kultury i znajdowania nowego sposobu i języka przekazu treści ewangelicznych. Papież Franciszek podkreślił, że studia teologiczne „stanowią rodzaj opatrznościowego laboratorium kulturowego, w którym Kościół dokonuje performatywnej interpretacji rzeczywistości, która wypływa z wydarzenia Jezusa Chrystusa i która karmi się darami mądrości i wiedzy, jakimi Duch Święty ubogaca w różnych formach cały lud Boży”. Właściwe zidentyfikowanie adresatów orędzia moralnego Kościoła pozwoli na lepsze dostosowanie form nauczania. Teologia ma służyć Ludowi Bożemu w głębszym przeżywaniu wiary i zabierać glos w toczącej się debacie publicznej w celu wyjaśniania stanowiska Kościoła i argumentowania prawd moralnych. W tym celu trzeba też używać nowych mediów, które pozwoli dotrzeć do szerszej grupy odbiorców.
    The present state of moral theology in Poland bears some signs of a crisis, as the number of students of theological sciences is shrinking and the faith, which can give wings to the testimony of theologians, is weakening. The progressive process of secularization becomes at the same time a challenge to a deeper interpretation of contemporary culture and to find a new way and language of conveying the Gospel content. Pope Francis emphasized that theological studies "constitute a kind of providential cultural laboratory in which the Church performs a performative interpretation of the reality that flows from the event of Jesus Christ and which is nourished by the gifts of wisdom and knowledge which the Holy Spirit enriches in various forms the whole people of God." Proper identification of the addressees of the Church's moral message will allow for a better adjustment of the forms of teaching. Theology is to serve the People of God in a deeper experience of faith and to contribute to the ongoing public debate in order to explain the Church's position and to argue moral truths. For this purpose, you also need to use new media that will allow you to reach a wider audience.

    According to St. Augustine Faith and Reason are intertwined, overlapping each other, but without excluding each other. In this way the faith is permeated by the intellect and it is founded on the authority of the reason, that is essential for in-depth „knowledge”. On the other hand, „knowledge” – reason is irreplaceable to „believe”. In such a context two very characteristic of our author’s statements can be seen: Crede ut intelligas, and intellige ut credas! The call of the blessed of Hippo: Intellectum valde ama! can also be included in it. It is a meaningful fact that there is not known a single case in which the Augustinism would split up the reason with the faith. An absolute Christocentrism of Augustine is present in the background of the discussion about the faith and the reason: speculation is not a goal in itself, but it only serves to get closer to the mystery of God and the mystery of a man in Christ. The reason and the faith (the authority) are two factors of getting to know the truth. One can speak of a kind of gnoseological dualism. The faith is the acceptance of the truth because of the authority of the witness. Knowledge leads to the possible conclusions and the faith gives certainty and consistency.

    The presence of theology in the academic community is today a challenge of particular significance. One of the most important reasons are political transformations in the post-communist countries of Europe in the last 25 years, as well as ideological and axiological transformations in the West of our continent. All these processes have affected many spheres of social, cultural and spiritual life and are directly related to shaping the contemporary theological thought. Although theology acquires potentially new opportunities for development and impact in the university space, in practice there are increasing difficulties in its affirmation. The problem primarily concerns the scientific profile of theology and the responsibility of theologians themselves.

    Il teologo e la teologia non possano conoscere ed entrare nella comunione con Dio vero e vivo senza l’esperienza della fede, carita e speranza, con l’aiuto dello Spiritu Santo: „Poiche senza la fede e impossibile essere graditi a Dio” (Eb 11, 6); „Or la speranza non rende confusi, perche l’amor di Dio e stato Sparso nei nostri cuori per lo Spirito Santo che ci e stato dato” (Rm 5, 5). Dobbiamo affermare che la risposta del’uomo alla Rivelazione di Dio non puo essere limitata solamente alle parole ricevute dalla Sacra Scrittura, Tradizione e dottrina del Magistero della Chiesa, senza l’esperienza delle profondita del Mistero di Dio nella fede, carita e speranza dentro la comunita credenti della Chiesa col suo Magistero. La costatazione dell’autore di questa riflessione dimostra che teologo e teologia; „non possano essere graditi a Dio” e creativi per l’uomo senza detta esperienza, senza l’esperienza della viva prezenza di Dio della Rivelazione Judeo-Cristiana nella fede, carita, e speranza sopranaturale; nelle virtu teologali con l’aiuto dello Spirito Santo, che crea del „io” vecchio un „Io” nuovo – un soggetto nuovo – corrispondente al’ Mistero di Dio: „e non son piu io che vivo, ma e cristo che vive in me” (Rm 5, 5).
    A theologian and theology cannot cognize the true and living God, and enter a communion with Him without the experience of faith, love and hope through the intervention of the Holy Spirit, as “without faith it is impossible to please God” (Heb 11:6). “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us” (Rom 5:5). It should be stated that a man’s reply to God’s Revelation should not be only limited to the words taken from the Holy Bible, Tradition and the Magisterium of the Church without experiencing God’s profoundness and mystery in faith, hope and love within the community of the Church’s believers along with the Magisterium. The statement made by the author of the present reflection shows that for a theologian and theology “it is impossible to please God” and to be creative for mankind without this experience, without the experience of the living presence of God’s Judeo-Christian Revelation in supernatural faith, love and hope, in theological virtues of the Holy Spirit, who from the “I” of the man of the past creates a new “I”, a new subject responding to the mystery of God, who may say: “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me” (Gal 2:20).

    The author cites first the various definitions of the theologian: 1) mystic who was initiated into the life of the Holy Trinity and received the grace to transmit this initiation to others; 2) mystic who knows how to convey his religious experience to others; 3) expert in theological literature, believer or not, with an academic title. Then he presents the current tasks of the Catholic theologian, understood as a believer expert in theology: 1) derived from revelation answer to questions posed by life; 2) apology of revealed truth and of the Church; 3) finding a new language for the new evangelization; 4) evangelical view of empire of evil, in which we are immersed.
    Autor przytacza najpierw różne definicje teologa: 1) mistyk, który został wtajemniczony w życie Trójcy Świętej i otrzymał łaskę przekazu tego wtajemniczenia innym; 2) mistyk, który umie przekazać innym swoje religijne przeżycia; 3) niekoniecznie wierzący znawca literatury teologicznej z tytułem naukowym. Następnie przedstawia aktualne zadania teologa katolickiego, rozumianego jako wierzącego znawcy teologii: 1) czerpana z objawienia odpowiedź na pytania, jakie stawia życie; 2) apologia prawdy objawionej oraz Kościoła; 3) znalezienie nowego języka na potrzeby nowej ewangelizacji; 4) ewangeliczne spojrzenie na imperium zła, w którym jesteśmy zanurzeni.

    Wincenty Granat urodził się 1 kwietnia 1900 roku w Ćmielowie k. Ostrowca Świętokrzyskiego. Szkołę średnią (1914–1918) i studia seminaryjne (1918–1923) ukończył w Sandomierzu. W 1923 roku podjął studia na Uniwersytecie Gregoriańskim w Rzymie. Po roku studiów, 24 sierpnia 1924 roku przyjął święcenia kapłańskie w katedrze w Sandomierzu. W 1925 roku uzyskał stopień doktora filozofii, a w 1928 roku – doktora teologii. Po powrocie do kraju pełnił funkcję prefekta szkół powszechnych (1928–1929) oraz średnich (1930–1933) w Radomiu. W 1933 roku został wykładowcą Wyższego Seminarium Duchownego w Sandomierzu. Od 1952 roku podjął pracę w Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim, początkowo jako zastępca profesora, a następnie jako docent (1956–1960) i profesor (1961–1970). W 1965 roku został rektorem KUL; w 1970 roku zrezygnował z funkcji rektora KUL, przeniósł się do Opola Lubelskiego. W 1977 roku powrócił do Sandomierza, gdzie zmarł w opinii świętości 11 grudnia 1979 roku. Żył prawdą w miłości. Dnia 12 czerwca 1995 roku Kościół sandomierski rozpoczął dochodzenie kanonizacyjne ks. Wincentego Granata, który żył prawdą w miłości. Sesja kończąca proces na etapie diecezjalnym odbyła się 9 października 2018 roku w kościele pw. Świętego Michała Archanioła w Sandomierzu. W dniu 3 listopada 2018 roku dokumenty procesowe sługi Bożego zostały przekazane do Kongregacji Spraw Kanonizacyjnych w Rzymie.
    Wincenty Granat was born on April 1, 1900 in Ćmielów near Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. He graduated from high school (1914–1918) and seminary (1918–1923) in Sandomierz. In 1923, he studied at the Gregorian University in Rome. After a year of studies, on August 24, 1924, he was ordained a priest in the cathedral in Sandomierz. In 1925 he obtained the degree of doctor of philosophy and in 1928 the degree of doctor of theology. After returning to Poland, he worked as a prefect of primary schools (1928–1929) and secondary schools (1930–1933) in Radom. In 1933 he became a lecturer at the Major Seminary in Sandomierz. In 1952, he started working at the Catholic University of Lublin, initially as a deputy professor, then as a docent (1956–1960) and professor (1961–1970). In 1965 he became the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin; in 1970 he resigned from the post of rector of this catholic university and moved to Opole Lubelskie. In 1977 he returned to Sandomierz, where he died in the opinion of sanctity on December 11, 1979. He lived truth in love. On June 12, 1995, the Sandomierz Church began the canonization investigation of Rev. Wincenty Granat, who lived true in love. The session closing the process at the diocesan stage was held on October 9, 2018 in the church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Sandomierz. On November 3, 2018, the trial documents of the Servant of God were transferred to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in Rome.

    The collections of the Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences include a set of printed textes by Jan Seklucjan with a handwritten dedication to Albrecht Frederick, Duke of Prussia (†1618). Their binding is decorated with plaquettes with portraits of Albrecht von BrandenburgAnsbach, Duke of Prussia (†1568) and his first wife Dorothea (†1547). The article analyses both compositions, providing the following conclusions: they were made in the Konigsberg circles of the so-called Formschneider between the end of the 1530s and the first half of the 1540s. Between the period in question and 1565, wooden plaquettes (blocks) with these portraits were kept by the Duke’s court bookbinder, Kaspar Angler. After his death they probably belonged to the workshop equipment of his pupil Wolff Artzt, although it is also possible that they were used by a local religious writer, bookseller and possibly also bookbinder – Jan Seklucjan. Both works are examples of adaptation in Konigsberg of a specific formula of Renaissance book binding decoration, being at the same time a bookplate, based on a rectangular portrait plaquette presented in the centre of the cover. Compositions of such works most often depended on the painted portraits – mainly from the workshop of Lucas Cranach the Elder. Both Konigsberg portraits, however, are marked by prolonged proportions, a landscape background, and the display of coats of arms at the bottom. This fact should be explained by the painting models that were probably related to paintings in Albrecht’s Konigsberg residence. It is impossible to decide definitely whether they were made by a painter employed at his court (e.g. Crispin Herrant), or imported. Nevertheless, they are an indirect testimony to the existence of a gallery of portraits in the Konigsberg Castle, which was created on a long-term basis and with passion by the Duke of Prussia.

    Artykuł przedstawia drogę życia i dokonania papieża Benedykta XVI. Ukazuje go jako wybitnego teologa liturgii i muzyki. Ważne jest zatrzymanie się nad nadaniem doktoratu honoris causa Uniwersytetu Papieskiego w Krakowie, by zwieńczyć jego osobistym testamentem duchowym i przesłaniem nadziei. W krótkim przedstawieniu nie da się ukazać wielkości i ogromu dokonań tak wyjątkowego człowieka dla Kościoła, ale też i całego świata. W niniejszym tekście zostało to jedynie zasygnalizowane. Wszak mowa o wybitnym teologu, wytrwanym liturgiście i muzyku, obrońcy wiary katolickiej i jej przejrzystości, skromnym robotniku Winnicy Pańskiej oraz wiernym przyjacielu Oblubieńca – jak powiedział o nim następca. Jest jednak pewne, że jeszcze przez wiele lat, a może nawet dziesięciolecia, będzie można odczytywać jego duchowe przesłanie, a być może kiedyś otrzyma tytuł doktora Kościoła, który z całą pewnością będzie mu zupełnie należny
    This article presents the way of life and the achievements of Pope Benedict XVI, showing him as an outstanding theologian of liturgy and music. It was also important to reflect on his honoris causa doctorate granted to him by the Pontifical University in Cracow. The article finishes with Benedict XVI’s spiritual testament and message of hope. It was not easy to present in such a short form the immense scale of the achievements of this extraordinary man, so beneficial for the Church and for the whole world. The following text merely outlines the above, for the subject concerns a remarkable theologian, proficient liturgist and musician, defender of Catholic faith and her transparency, humble worker in the Lord’s vineyard and the faithful friend of the Bridegroom – as recalled by his successor. And it seems certain that in the next years, even in the following decades we will still be reading his spiritual message, or maybe one day this great Pontiff shall be accorded the title of the Doctor of the Church, so well deserved.

    Wybitny teolog, pisarz, pedagog, ks. Wincenty Granat, Sługa Boży, nazwany przez uczniów doctor humanus, był profesorem i dziewiątym rektorem Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego. Od jego śmierci minęło blisko czterdzieści lat, jednak we wspomnieniach osób, które zetknęły się z nim i które zawdzięczały mu wiele, nie czuje się upływu tego czasu. Pamięć o nim jest ciągle żywa. Niniejsze opracowanie zawiera: rys biograficzny ks. Wincentego Granata, omówienie jego działalności społeczno-religijnej, trzeźwościowej, nauczycielskiej na kompletach tajnego nauczania, aktywnego udziału w opozycji w okresie okupacji niemieckiej, działalności dydaktycznej na KUL oraz działalności o charakterze administracyjnym na stanowisku rektora katolickiej uczelni. Następnie po krótkim omówieniu sylwetki kandydata do chwały ołtarzy został przedstawiony przebieg procesu beatyfikacyjnego Sługi Bożego na etapie diecezji sandomierskiej.
    Wincenty Granat was born on April 1, 1900 in Ćmielów near Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (Poland). He graduated from high school (1914–1918) and seminary (1918–1923) in Sandomierz. In 1923 he began his studies at the Gregorian University in Rome. After a year ofthe studies, on August 24, 1924, he was ordained a priest in the cathedral in Sandomierz. In 1925 he obtained the degree of doctor of philosophy and, in 1928, of theology. After returning to Poland, he was the prefect of primary schools (1928–1929) and secondary schools (1930–1933) in Radom. In 1933 he became a lecturer at the TheologicalSeminary in Sandomierz. From 1952, he started working at the Catholic University of Lublin, initially as a deputy professor, then as a docent (1956–1960) and professor (1961–1970). In 1965 he became the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin; in 1970 he resigned from the post of the rector of the Catholic University and he moved to Opole Lubelskie. In 1977 he returned to Sandomierz, where he died in the opinion of sanctity on December 11, 1979. The servant of God performed his holiness in the words “to do truth in love” through his word, writing and life! On June 12, 1995, the Sandomierz Church began the canonization investigation of Rev. Wincenty Granat, who lived by truth in love. The session ending the process at the diocesan stage was held on October 9, 2018 in Saint Michael the Archangel Church in Sandomierz. On November 3, 2018, the trial documents of the Servant of God were transferred to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints in Rome. This study includes: a biographical sketch, a socio-religious activity, the activity referring to sobriety, underground education, and active participation in the opposition during the German occupation, didactic activities at the Catholic University of Lublin and activities of an administrative nature as the rector of the Catholic university. In the end, after discussing the figure of the candidate for the glory of the altars, the beatification process of the Servant of God in the diocese of Sandomierz is presented.

    Rekonstrukcja gestów, zachowań i słów Franciszka pod kątem jego rozumienia Kościoła niesie ze sobą spore trudności. Forsowana przez niego eklezjologiczna koncepcja przysparza mu z jednej strony rzesze zwolenników, a z drugiej prowokuje wielu do krytyki i postawy odrzucenia. Aby bez zniekształceń zrozumieć jego naukę o Kościele, należy sięgnąć do dokumentu z Aparecidy biskupów latynoamerykańskich (2007) oraz jego papieskiej adhortacji Evangelii gaudium (2014). Poturbowany Kościół J. Bergoglio znajduje się przede wszystkim na obrzeżach chrześcijaństwa i wyrasta z argentyńskiej opcji dla różnego typu wykluczonych. Stąd doktrynalnie i duszpastersko nieroztropnie wystawia się taka wspólnota na niebezpodstawne zarzuty propagowania religijnego synkretyzmu, osłabiania wyjątkowości i jedyności Jezusa Chrystusa, stawiania pod znak zapytania eklezjalnej sakramentalności.  
     The reconstruction of Francis' gestures, behaviors, and words in terms of his understanding of the Church brings with it considerable difficulties. On the one hand, the ecclesiological concept he fostered attracts crowds of followers, and on the other, it provokes many to criticize and to the attitude of rejection. In order to understand his teaching on the Church without distortion, one needs to refer to the Aparecida Document of Latin American Bishops (2007) and to his papal exhortation Evangelii gaudium (2014). The battered Church of J. Bergoglio is located primarily on the outskirts of Christianity and grows out of the Argentine option for various types of people who are excluded. Hence, such a community imprudently exposes itself to the accusations, which are not groundless, of promoting religious syncretism, weakening the uniqueness and oneness of Jesus Christ, calling into question the ecclesiastical sacramentality.
    Die intellektuelle wie die spirituelle Bildung von Joseph Ratzinger/Benedikt XVI. verlangt, dass man von seinem Entwicklungsprozess sprechen muss. Der Artikel zeigt die meistens unterlassene Etappe der Entwicklung des jungen Ratzingers auf, wo er sich vom Standpunkt einer progressiven und manchmal unverantwortlichen theoretischen akademischen Theologie zu einem Denker entwickelt, der in der Gemeinschaft des Glaubens steht und ein Wächter der christlichen Doktrin und Lehrer in Einheit des Geistes und der Tradition der Kirche wird. Ein Licht auf diese Wende in der Haltung des deutschen Theologieprofessors wirft die Vorbereitungsetappe zum Zweiten Vatikanischen Konzil sowie dessen Beratungen, aber auch die schmerzliche Erfahrung der Studentenrevolte 1968, die ihn in Tübingen vorfand. Auf diese Weise wird aus einem liberalen deutschen Theologen ein außerordentlicher katholischer Theologe der Gesamtkirche.
