W artykule przedstawiono zintegrowane stanowisko pozwalające wykonywać operacje spotykane w laboratoryjnej praktyce techniki światłowodowej i badać poprawność ich realizacji. W szczególności możliwe jest przygotowanie końcówki światłowodowej za pomocą cięcia, klejenia żywicą, szlifowania z polerowaniem czoła światłowodu. Dodatkowe wyposażenie pozwala również na montaż elementów optoelektronicznych ze światłowodami. W artykule zamieszczono wyniki badań wykonanych końcówek światłowodowych.
In the paper a integrated stand for the optical fiber technique operations met in the laboratory practice is presented. The stand allows preparing the fiber ends using such operations as cutting, gluing with epoxy resin, end surface grinding and polishing as well as the quality study of prepared ends. An additional equipment makes possible to assemble optoelectronics elements with optical fibers. Some results of the prepared optical fiber ends are given.

In this paper the results of research on the properties of three formats of hard laddering questionnaires used in a study on a teenagers’ online consumer behavior are presented. 88 18-year-old students of high school participated in the research. Soft laddering was used during interviewing 18 people, 70 people participated in the survey with hard laddering. Three formats of hard laddering were used in the research: 4×4 format, abbreviated format and Association Pattern Technique. Used formats were compared on the basis of the number and the quality of the gained attribute – consequence – value ladders. The most information was collected by Association Pattern Technique. The cheapest data were obtained by 4×4 format.

Competition in the elections makes it necessary for the participants to seek different ways of standing out from the others. One of the ways is to utilize the rule of the authority. The mechanism of the irradiation technique causes positive feelings to radiate from a person well-known to and respected by an electorate onto a less well-known person but connected with the former even through having a photo together. The aim of the paper is to show what position those polled took on the issue of using the rule of the authority in the election campaigns in 2014. The results of surveys conducted in the autumn of 2014 clearly show which party electorates are prone to be influenced by this type of advertising, whether by being directly told by the party leader which candidate should be voted for, or by the candidate’s photo together with the party leader or chairman.

The paper shows the world of the elderly through the eyes of the creators' advertising messages. The author assumes that advertising leads to the formation, strengthen and reinforce the stereotypical thinking about social groups and roles. Advertising as mass communication at the moment is treated as an extension of the socialization process, aligning and strengthening the existing cultural patterns. The results of qualitative researches go beyond the current approach to the image of older people in advertising. Exploratory analysis were subjected to advertising messages, in which the woman's age has been an important promotional message. It is assumed that the age is a matter of particular importance from the point of view of shaping the identity of the conteporary woman. It's important that image of elderly people in advertising is associated not only with its perception by the individual, but also by others. Advertising has great interest and willingness to reflect on the natural process of human aging. This mass message displays, which is characteristic of a particular sex, as falls do in a given age, as one should look at the situation. Characteristics and behaviors ascribed to a particular sex or age, in@uence, either positive or negative response to a person, both by themselves and by the others. Certain image of the elderly has an impact on our level of optimism, mood and actions of people of all ages.

The most known works of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt (*1935) have been written in his individual compositional style called tintinnabuli. The style was formed in 1976 as a result of a significant crisis Pärt had experienced after his last dodecaphonic composition. At that point the composer realized that dodecaphony and other contemporary techniques are no longer inspiring for him and decided search for a new direction for his music. In 1976–1980, after some years of exercising and studying early music, he presented several works, mostly instrumental, introduc-ing a new stylistic quality. The compositions are based on a precise system of regulations which has determined many aspects of Pärt’s musical language. The melodic material is limited to two scales: one diatonic and one ‘triad scale’, the latter having been created on the basis of triad struc-ture. The form has been constructed by using a simple mathematical procedure — a sequence, although some external formal models are also involved. The rhythm is often based on a repetitive scheme which can be interpreted as a reference to a medieval isorythm. It is the very detailed and consequent system of those and others technical principles that make the pieces composed during the early period of tintinnabuli style consistent and recognizable.

The film was a purely visual event for Hitchcock. That is why the director enjoyed using the means of pictorial expression, such as contrasts in: scale – small and large; tone – light and dark, colors – complementary colors (red and green, yellow and blue), shape – round and sharp forms, direction – horizontal and vertical; planes – built-up areas and undeveloped, open and closed areas; textures – smooth and rough. Contrasts appeared within: single frame, shot, scene and sequence. The suggested graphic oppositions contributed to the phenomenon of suspense that Hitchcock was a master of. In this case, the suspension of the course of action was required through the collection of information and its synthesis, which was carried out with the use of visual contrasts, which led to cognitive oppositions. During the suspension of the course of events, the viewer was either curious about the further development of events or anticipated what might happen, but did not know how it would happen. The viewer then felt a certain kind of tension. The analyzed image contrast was the source of this perceptual and then cognitive tension. It had to be strong enough to be actually effective. Then the image became visually attractive (1), thus immersive (2) and therefore persuasive (3). The sudden close-up of the face and its sudden distance away, the play of complementary colors, textures and space, all these phenomena caused the anticipated perception shock. Suspension – considered from the psychological level – also consisted of two contrasting states: fear and hope, which induced cognitive uncertainty. Both opposing mental states were built, among others, through the contrasts of images: scale, tone, color, texture (also sonic and kinetic dissonances).

This article concerns three fundamental dimensions of all educational methods: technical, epistemological, and cultural. We perceive them as equally important in the process of (re)creating and using any educational method. It seems to us that the technical dimension is quite often the only one or at least the most essential one in the area of Polish educational practices, and sometimes also in the theory of education. This situation is, however, undesirable since it may lead to the decontextualisation of the methods, and – as a consequence – limit their educational potential. Referring to the Montessori approach and more specifically to one of the most significant concepts within the method – namely to the idea of „prepared environment” in which three aspects can be distinguished: material, structural – dynamic, and personal, we describe the roles that they play in the procedures of constructing teaching methods showing their integral character.

In this study, which is based on the position of the Sejm regarding a case pending before the Constitutional Tribunal, the analysed provisions are confronted with the principle of the specificity of legal provisions. The content of this principle is indeterminate, and the test of the specificity of legal provisions, which is a tool for assessing compliance with the principle in question, leaves a significant interpretative margin to the Constitutional Tribunal. The Tribunal’s ruling on the incompatibility of legislation with the principle of the specificity of legal provisions should be a measure of last resort, applied when other interpretative methods are insufficient. This is not the case in the case in question.

Niniejsza praca przedstawia różne sposoby wiązania cegieł w ceglanych konstrukcjach murowych, a także różne sposoby nakładania zapraw w murach ceglanych. Zbiorcze przedstawienie - często już nie stosowanych obecnie - sposobów wiązania cegieł i technologii układania zaprawy przy wykonywaniu murów ceglanych może być przydatne podczas identyfikacji starych konstrukcji murowych.
The paper presents different types of brick bonds in the masonry constructions as well as different techniques of spreading mortar during the masonry work. The specification of the types of brick bonds and the techniques of spreading mortar (which are often no longer used nowadays) during erection of brick walls might be useful in identification of the old masonry constructions.

The article addresses the problem of syntactic ambiguity in legal provisions containing linear enumerations (namely such where the elements of enumeration are placed next to each other, without any editorial distinction). There seem to be two types of such ambiguity. The first one stems from the ambiguity of logical relations between the elements of enumeration. This often involves considerations concerning conjunctive words (i.e. and, or). The second one stems from the ambiguity of purely syntactic relations between the elements of enumeration and the modifiers. This type is rarely properly identified by interpreters in the Polish legal practice. The article offers examples from the Polish case law and makes suggestions for legislative drafters how to avoid the described ambiguity.

Opis:
Much has been said about performance, styles and interpretation. However, we should ask ourselves where they come from, what they depend on, and what factors influence them. The answer is much more complex. This article deals with the problem of piano technique as an element on which interpretation, sound and expression depend to a large extent. The piano is an instrument with incredible tonal possibilities, but it requires fingering skills, the ability to “feel” the key and certain physical strength which is directly related to the technique we use. Achieving a high level in playing requires years of diligent work, perseverance and determination. Technical proficiency, in turn, facilitates the expression and appropriate interpretation, in line with the style of a given musical period and the feelings of the pianist-performer. So we are talking about two things that inexorably influence each other – the workshop and its result, the shape of latter depends largely on the first. This article deepens the knowledge of piano workshop so that in the end nothing comes in the way between performers, listeners and music.
