    W artykule opisano problem wparcia społecznego, a szczególnie jego wybrane aspekty (wsparcie seniora w rodzinie), w ocenie seniorów – uczestników programu Ministerstwa Rodziny i Polityki Społecznej pn. „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów” (polegającego m.in. na zaangażowaniu wolontariuszy świadczących pomoc osobom potrzebującym), realizowanego w gminie Chorzów w 2022 r. Problem ten stał się inspiracją do przeprowadzenia badań jakościowych za pomocą kwestionariusza wywiadu częściowo ustrukturyzowanego, w którym wzięło udział 14 seniorów. Celem była ocena wybranych aspektów wsparcia w ramach programu „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów”. Główny problem badawczy sformułowano w następujący sposób: Jaka jest ocena otrzymywanego wsparcia w ramach omawianego programu realizowanego w gminie Chorzów przez jego uczestników? Pytania badawcze: Jakie rodzaje wsparcia są preferowane wśród badanych osób starszych oraz jak badani oceniają poszczególne rodzaje wsparcia w ramach programu „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów”? Jak badani oceniają pracę wolontariuszy w ramach programu „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów”? Jak badani zapatrują się na kontynuowanie działań w ramach programu „Korpus Wsparcia Seniorów” w kolejnych latach? Z badań wynika, że osoby starsze zmagały się wcześniej z samotnością, poczuciem alienacji i brakiem kontaktów interpersonalnych. Dzięki pomocy i obecności wolontariuszy seniorzy mogli spędzać czas w sposób aktywny, na rozmowach, spacerach czy wspólnej integracji. Nie bez znaczenia było także udzielanie seniorom wsparcia i pomocy w czynnościach dnia codziennego oraz ułatwienie im dostępu do podstawowej opieki zdrowotnej. Udział osób badanych w programie spowodował, że ich aktywność zdecydowanie wzrosła, odzyskali pewność siebie i stali się otwarci na drugiego człowieka. Seniorzy bardzo wysoko ocenili usługi świadczone przez wolontariuszy i zgodnie stwierdzili, że program w kolejnych latach powinien być kontynuowany, gdyż zapobiega izolacji społecznej i promuje ideę aktywnego starzenia się.
    The article presents the problem of social support, especially its selected aspects (support for seniors in the family), in the seniors’ opinion – participants of the program of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy titled “Senior Support Corps” (including the involvement of volunteers providing help to people in need), implemented in the Chorzów commune in 2022. This problem became an inspiration to conduct qualitative research using a semi-structured interview questionnaire, in which 14 seniors took part. The aim was to assess selected aspects of support under the “Senior Support Corps” program. The main research problem was formulated as follows: What is the assessment of the support received by its participants under the discussed program implemented in the Chorzów commune? Research questions: What types of support are preferred among the surveyed elderly people and how do the respondents evaluate individual types of support under the “Senior Support Corps” program? How do respondents evaluate the work of volunteers under the “Senior Support Corps” program? How do respondents view the continuation of activities under the “Senior Support Corps” program in the coming years? The research shows that elderly people previously struggled with loneliness, a sense of alienation and a lack of interpersonal contacts. Thanks to the help and presence of volunteers, seniors could spend their time actively, talking, walking or integrating together. Providing seniors with support and assistance in everyday activities and facilitating access to basic health care was also important. The participation of the respondents in the program significantly increased their activity, regained their self-confidence and became open to other people. Seniors assessed the services provided by volunteers very highly and unanimously stated that the program should be continued in the coming years as it prevents social isolation and promotes the idea of active aging.

    Pope Francis makes many efforts related to the pastoral assistance of marriage and family, especially those who has life wounds, crises, betrayals and conflicts. As a result of this concern is exhortation Amoris laetitia. The exhortation pays a lot of attention to the young people, who finds a lot of difficult to build a marriage based on Christ. In his pastoral recommendations he talks the need to assist fiance and bride in preparation for their wedding, to accompany a newly married couple in the first years of marriage. Furthermore, Francis encourages specific pastoral activities to defend the truth about marriage and family.

    The commented judgement refers to the way of interpreting the term “family” in the scope of its members. The choice of interpretation is necessary to examine the possibility of granting the one-time financial support on the occassion of the birth of a child. The key problem of the case is the question whether the father who does not stay actually with the mother and the child belongs to the family. According to the strict interpretation the answer is positive and his income should be taken into account. WSA decided to use the teleological definition of family which takes into account only members actually forming a family and excluded father from community of family. In that way his income is not subject of verification. According to the author of the commented judgement the interpretation preferred by WSA is contra-legem, releases fathers from their future duties and presents dangerous corruption of system of family law. The father cannot be excluded from the family in any dimension.

    The challenges that pastoral care in Poland has to face today are not less numerous than at the time when it was established several dozen years ago. It seems that we should begin our survey of these challenges from inidicating a group of challenges that may be called challenges to marraige and family. Here we find that the structure of marriage as a relationship between heterosexual persons: a husband and wife is more and more commonly questioned; marriage is questioned as the foundation of family; the processes of marital disintegration increase, divorces and remarriages; free unions that last for years. The causes for this group of challenges as ideaological or practical. Another group of challenges consists of separation due to economic reasons, mainly going abroad to work. This causes the increasing process of marrital disintegration, rapid growth of social orphans, old parents and often ill are left unattended by their adult emigrating children. It follows from job problems that the competitive model of interpersonal relations is extrapolated on the marrital bond. We have to add the issues of psychological and physical violence in the family, abortion and calls to legalise euthanasia. A further group of challenges consists of those related to sexual activity. Contraceptive mentality and practices are popular, the phenomenon of marrital infertility is increasing, life is conceived beyond its natural and marrital milieu. In view of the above challenges, pastoral care for families in Poland should change its legal-moral categories of marriage and family iinto sociological and theological, it should purify the image of God from its anthropomorphic elements. It depends much on this image that man can understand himself and build his marrital relationship. Another important issue is to link theological knowledge and adequate aspects of the particular sciences. This link must be methodologically correct in pastoral care. Theological knowledge shows a model of marriage and family, whereas the particular sciences provide practical solutions how to accomplish this model. All this calls for an ordering of basic concepts of marriage and family, as there is much disorder there. Eventually, such actions should bring about milieus of support for the family that would make it easier to defend the principal Christian values.

    Papież Franciszek od początku swego pontyfikatu pokazał ojcowską opieką małżeństwa i rodziny, zwłaszcza te zagubione i zranione przez zjawiska różnych niepowodzeń i ludzkich tragedii, takich jak: zdrada, rozwód i konfliktów. Pierwsze synody pontyfikatu był poświęcony wymiarowi duszpasterskiej troski o małżeństwie i rodzinie. Podobny charakter ma Adhortacja Amoris Laetitia.
    Pope Francis from the beginning, showed fatherly care of marriage and family, especially those lost and wounded by different human failures and tragedies: infidelity, divorce and conflict. The first synods of his pontificate was dedicated to pastoral dimension of care for marriage and family. A similar character has exhortation Amoris laetitia. Pope calls to proclaim the Gospel of the family, that is a full and integral truth about marriage and family present in God's plan of human salvation. He calls for giving alive and joyful testimony of Christ's presence in the sacrament of marriage and family home, which is a small Church. In his pastoral recommendations he stresses the need to assist fiance and bride in preparation for their wedding, to accompany a newly married couple in the first years of marriage, to help in solving problems and reconciliation, which is the basis of a mature marriage. This exhortation manifests care for the divorced and remarried. The Church can not change its standards, nor can it give up its values and ideals. In this way, the Bishop of Rome begins a new era in the Church. This is the era of compassionate gaze and allegiance to Christ.

    W artykule przedstawiono aktywność ekonomiczną beneficjentów Miejskiego Ośrodka Po-mocy Rodzinie w Poznaniu. Zwrócono uwagę na rodzaj wykonywanej pracy, wśród której domi-nują zajęcia o charakterze nisko opłacanych prac dorywczych oraz niewielkie zróżnicowanie zawodów. Zauważono niepokojące zjawisko ubóstwa osób o stałych dochodach z pracy zarobkowej, a także próbę poprawy sytuacji respondentów poprzez dwutorowe uzyskiwanie środków finansowych – z pomocy społecznej oraz pracy „na czarno” lub źródeł częściowo nielegalnych. Zwrócono uwagę na brak zaufania ankietowanych w stosunku do urzędów pracy i efektywności ich działań.
    The paper presents the economic activity of the beneficiaries of the Municipal Centre for Family Support in Poznan. The attention was paid to the types of work performed, among which the dominant are the ones of a low-paid casual character and little differentiation of professions. The two main issues were noted: the alarming phenomenon of poverty on fixed incomes from employment, as well as an attempt to improve the situation of respondents by obtaining a two-track funding – from social assistance and the work “in black” or partially illegal sources. The attention was paid to the lack of confidence of responders in relation to the labour offices and the effectiveness of their actions.
