    Opis:
    How do people read popular literature? Is it possible to connect reading popular literature with category of aesthetic experience (what kind?), or – eventually – what kind of theory could successfully describe this relation? All those questions create a context of the analysis of the book Poetyka doświadczenia (The Poetics of Experience) by Ryszard Nycz. Its author postulates that literature should be understood as a form of the enunciation of experience. He circumscribes here an experience as a specific kind of two-way interaction between readers and their cultural environment, society or nature. It seems that a wide definition, which includes – for example – testimonies of community memory and private, idiosyncratic expressions – describes popular literature, too. However, the author of the article, precisely focusing on the motifs in Nycz’s theory, which directly or indirectly relate to popular literature, doubts its ability to read popular culture. He argues that Nycz’s formula, in fact, is based on modernist conception of high literature with its sacralisation, which eliminates understanding aesthetic experience as a form of pleasure or ludic involvement.

    Termoparowe sondy psychrometryczne służą do pomiaru potencjału wody. Często wykorzystywane są w agrotechnice. Znajduję też inne zastosowanie, np. w szczególnych przypadkach mogą zostać zastosowane do oceny wilgotności porowatych materiałów budowlanych. Zastosowanie w budownictwie drastycznie ogranicza ich wąski zakres pomiarowy, który mieści się w granicach 94÷99% wilgotności względnej powietrza. Odczyt z sondy psychrometrycznej jest dodatkowo funkcją zależną od temperatury. Dlatego podczas analizy wyników pomiarów przeprowadzonych w odmiennych warunkach środowiskowych należy dokonać korekcji wyników ze względu na temperaturę pomiaru. Celem niniejszej pracy jest przeanalizowanie sposobu wykorzystania korekcji temperaturowej dla termoparowych sond psychrometrycznych PST-55 Wescor. Kalibracja sond została przeprowadzona w laboratoryjnym piecu Memmert VO500 w temperaturach 20÷35°C. Wzrost temperatury o 1°C następował w ciągu 10 minut, a następnie temperatura utrzymywana była przez 2 godziny. Jako roztwór kalibrujący został użyty wodny roztwór NaCl o stężeniach: 0,4 M, 0,7 M, 1,1 M oraz 1,4 M. Zaproponowany został uogólniony wzór Ψ = f(U,T), wyznaczający potencjał wody w funkcji napięcia sondy i temperatury.
    Thermocouple psychrometer probes are used to water potential measurement. They are often used in agricultural applications. Psychrometric probes can be also used in other domains, such as moisture estimation in the porous building materials. Their application in building physics is strongly limited by narrow sensitivity range of the sensors, which, varies between 94÷99% of relative humidity of air in the porous material. Also, readouts of the thermocouple probes are function of the temperature during measurement. Therefore, in order to analyze of the results of measurements performed in the different environmental conditions it is necessary to correct the results regarding to temperature. The aim of this article is to assessment of the temperature correction method for the thermocouple psychrometer probes Wescor PST-55. Calibration of the probe was carried out in a laboratory oven Memmert VO500 at a temperature range between 20 and 35°C. Temperature increase of 1°C appeared during 10 min period and afterwards the temperature was maintained for 2 hours. For calibration there were used NaCl solutions at molar concentrations 0.4 M, 0.7 M, 1.1 M and 1.4 M. The general Ψ=f(U,T) equation was proposed, which allow to calculate water potential as a function depending on voltage and temperature.

    The article aims to show detailed themes contained in the breviary readings, which are fragments of the works of the Church Fathers, and in which the Holy Spirit is mentioned. The author showed that in these readings, one could find dogmatic and ascetic themes. The dogmatic threads include the deity of the Holy Spirit, the relationship between Christ and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit working in the Church and individual believers, and the Spirit working through the sacraments. When it comes to ascetic themes, the author identified the following: the action of the Holy Spirit in human spiritual, prayer and eschatological life. The author concludes that the pneumatological thought of the breviary readings is rich in content, has excellent cognitive value and contains a message that can bring many spiritual benefits.

    The article Black Seasons. Black Kites. About the Children’s Reading in Ghettos is devoted to the Holocaust seen and lived from the perspective of children. The author is interested in book collections of those who survived the war and later became writers (U. Orlev, A. Frankel, and M. Głowiński), and those stories that thematise children’s reading in ghettos (D. Combrzyńska-Nogala, M. Szczygielski). Joanna Roszak shows which books became for the children readers a matrix imposed on reality, which met the needs of a library therapy, helped children to cope with the emotional challenges of ghetto existence, and which enabled integration and identification processes. Moreover, the authoress presents which books triggered the escapist interpretation and finally which found an extension in the stories and essays created after the war. The title of the paper refers to The Black Seasons [Czarne sezony] by Michał Głowiński, and to a line from Czesław Miłosz’s Campo di Fiori.

    Janina Porazińska is the author of books for children which gained the status of school readings, that is, publications which are quite widespread based on their common educational and cultural content. Their presence in the program recommendations regarding school readings since 1983 undoubtedly helped them to gain such popularity.The value of the book could be enhanced by many factors among which we can enumerate illustrations, particularly important in the education of small children. Porazińska’s publications presented rich as well as aesthetically valuable layout both in the interwar period (Stanislaw Bobiński, Michal Bylina, Antoni Gawiński, Zofia Stryjeńska, Nicholas Wisznicki) as well as in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Contemporary works of Porazińska were illustrated by Aleksandra Michal-ska-Szwagierczak or Elizabeth Krygowska-Butlewska. However, it was observed that too often other publications, that present so called ‘Disney’ style illustrations and do not care too much about the aesthetic aspect of students’ development, are chosen and recommended as school readings. Therefore, it is important to focus parents’ and teachers’ attention on these aspects of shaping the aesthetic tastes of pupils especially during their early school years.
    Janina Porazińska jest autorką utworów dla dzieci, które zyskały miano lektur szkolnych, czyli wydań książkowych o najpowszechniejszym zasięgu edukacyjnym i kulturowym. Do uzyskania przez nie popularności przyczyniła się niewątpliwie stała, do 1983 roku, ich obecność w programowych zaleceniach odnośnie do lektur szkolnych. Na wartość książki wpływają między innymi ilustracje, szczególnie ważne w edukacji dzieci. Publikacje Porazińskiej otrzymywały bogatą i wartościową pod względem estetycznym szatę graficzną, zarówno w okresie międzywojen-nym (Stanisław Bobiński, Michał Bylina, Antoni Gawiński, Zofia Stryjeńska, Mikołaj Wisznicki), jak i w latach 50., 60. i 70. XX wieku. Współcześnie utwory Porazińskiej ilustrowały Aleksandra Michalska-Szwagierczak, Elżbieta Krygow-ska-Butlewska. Zbyt często jednak w praktyce szkolnej wybierane są opracowania w stylistyce disnejowskiej, w której nie dba się o rozwój wrażliwości wizualnej ucznia. Ważna jest czujność nauczycieli i rodziców w kształtowaniu estetycznych upodobań uczniów wczesnoszkolnych.

    Since the turn of the millennium, Serbian drama has been increasingly valued and recognized in the post-Yugoslav region and in Europe. In recent years, the process of globalization has become progressively stronger, with an improved infrastructure for promotion that has made possible the crossing of material and symbolic boundaries. This in turn has led to transformations in artistic expression, as well as increasing opportunities for mobility, co-productions, and translations. The status of the drama has been somewhat problematic because of its situation between literature and theatre. Its heterogeneous nature has required the development of an appropriate method of presentation. The performative/stage reading has emerged as a compelling answer.
    Na prelazu između milenijuma srpska drama postala je cenjena i prepoznata u postjugoslovenskom regionu i Evropi. Poslednjih godina proces globalizacije je sve snažniji, infrastruktura i sistem promocije su se poboljšali, što omogućava prekoračivanje materijalnih i simboličkih granica (transformacija umetničkog izražaja, kulturna mobilnost, koprodukcije, prevodi). Treba napomenuti da je početak 20. veka (naročito njegova druga decenija) doneo ozbiljnije interesovanje u zemlji i inostranstvu za dramsku i scensku produkciju. Objavljene su antologije savremene srpske drame: Nova srpska drama, Biseri iz upravničkih fioka, koje popularišu dramske tekstove i uvode ih u književni i pozorišni krug, poboljšavajući tako njihovu recepciju. Na taj se način širi svest o ovom stvaralaštvu i povećavaju se šanse autora i autorki da kroz scenske produkcije ili scenska čitanja uđu u glavne umetničke tokove. Poljski prevodioci takođe postepeno postaju sveviše zainteresovani za dramatičare iz Srbije. Status drame može biti problematičan jer se ona nalazi između književnosti i pozorišta. Njena heterogena priroda zahteva pravilan način realizacije. Pozorišni komad treba da se vidi, čuje i govori, a ne da se samo tiho čita. Ipak, postoji scensko čitanje kao pojednostavljeni oblik pozorišta gde glumci performativno čitaju scenario pred publikom. Ovo podrazumeva istraživanje pozorišta kad produkcija nije u potpunosti ostvarena i kad je naglasak stavljen na slušanje teksta, ne na gledanje izvođenja.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki monitorowania rzeczywistych parametrów serwisu otwartego świadczonego przez system EGNOS od października 2009 roku. Monitoring ten prowadzono odbiornikami Septentrio PolaRx2e na lotniskach w Warszawie, Krakowie i Rzeszowie oraz różnymi odbiornikami morskimi w Gdyni. Zasadnicze spostrzeżenia można sprowadzić do tezy, iż uzyskiwana dokładność nie zależy od typu odbiornika, a błąd wyznaczeń nie przekracza dwóch metrów, jednak dostępność serwisu ciągle jeszcze nie jest zadowalająca.
    The paper presents the results of monitoring real parameters of the Open Service provided by EGNOS since October, 2009. The monitoring has been conducted with the receivers Septentrio PolaRx2e in the airports of Warsaw, Cracow and Rzeszów, and with different sea-receivers in Gdynia. The main finding is that the accuracy is not dependent on the type of the receiver, and the error of readings does not exceed 2 meters, however availability of the service is still not satisfactory.

    Modlitwy za zmarłych rozpowszechniły się w Kościele w okresie patrystycznym i łączyły się z Eucharystią sprawowaną w określone dni. Najstarsze formularze mszalne związane ze zmarłymi pochodzą z V wieku. Natomiast znacznie później, bo pod koniec X lub na początku XI wieku, zaczęto celebrować oficjum i Eucharystię za wszystkich wiernych zmarłych. Dniem celebracji stał się 2 listopada, i najpierw miało to miejsce w benedyktyńskim opactwie w Cluny. Przed Soborem Trydenckim we Wspomnienie wszystkich wiernych zmarłych można było wybierać perykopy spośród kilku proponowanych. W Mszale Piusa V z 1570 roku są już ustalone stałe czytania. Od 1915 roku każdy kapłan może w tym dniu sprawować trzy Msze Święte. Lekcjonarz łaciński wydany po Soborze Watykańskim II proponuje dobrać czytania spośród ponad czterdziestu perykop przeznaczonych dla Mszy za zmarłych. W Lekcjonarzu języka polskiego podano dziewięć stałych czytań dla trzech Mszy. W innych krajach istnieją duże różnice w doborze czytań. Tematem głównym czytań jest misterium paschalne, które obejmuje śmierć, zmartwychwstanie i życie wieczne Chrystusa i wszystkich wiernych.
    Prayers for the dead were widespread in the Church in the patristic period and were united with the Eucharist celebrated on particular days. At the end of 10th century or at the beginning of the 11th century, they began to celebrate the Divine Office and the Eucharist for All the Faithful Departed. First, it was in the Benedictine Abbey of Cluny—the celebration was established on November 2. Before the Council of Trent they could choose the readings of Mass from several that were proposed. In the Missal of Pius V, there were established readings. Since 1915, every priest may celebrate three Masses on this day. The Latin Lectionary promulgated after Vatican II proposes the choice of readings from more than forty of the Masses for the dead. The Lectionary in the Polish language has a stable nine readings for three Masses. In other countries, there are large differences in the choice of readings. The principal theme of the biblical texts is the Paschal mystery surrounding the death, resurrection and eternal life of Christ and all the faithful.

    Opis:
    Refining reading comprehension skills is one of the basic tasks that students of foreign languages and their teachers face. Some of the texts offered in students’ books do not make pupils interested in the topic, motivated or encouraged enough to develop their reading comprehension ability. The reason is that these texts are compulsory students have to read them which thus makes the readings less interesting. Learning foreign languages essentially should be focused on their posterior use in extracurricular, personal and then occupational conditions. Since reading is necessary, then choosing simple books in a foreign language would be worth considering. Such texts may be perceived by the students differently from the compulsory readings in class. What is more, reading didactically adapted, longer literary texts and their proper reception will certainly be satisfying for the student. This article provides the reader with the examples of using simplified readings in the global and detailed text processing which, in turn, takes into account techniques such as pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading. Furthermore, the article presents the ideas of including Information and Communication Technologies in teaching which influences students’ engagement and allows the teacher to monitor their work.
