    Opis:
    Hate speech is an object of interest among representatives of various disciplines. Sociology describes it as discrimination of the social groups in which one is a member regardless of their will. Hate speech is defi ned similarly from the angle of political correctness. Communication ethics treats hate speech as a variety of communication violence and an element of the exclusion strategy. Due to the legal consequences of using hate speech, linguistic criteria for recognising it are necessary. They are proposed by Jadwiga Linde-Usiekniewicz, who draws on the relevance theory. A thorough assessment of the utterance or statement categorised as hate speech requires, however, an analysis of a broader situational context.

    This outline touches upon the issue of the (failure of) communication as a challenge to modern poetry about political and anthropological topics. The author is interested in how Stanisław Barańczak’s poetry presents a meeting between people which is, first and foremost, a relationship with otherness describing the identity of an individual and their difference from the others. This relationship is often linked to power and violence that use the language of propaganda as a tool that poetry attempts to deconstruct and discredit. A unique extension of the human–human relationship is a search for a relationship with an entity other than human, which the poetry of the author of Journey in Winter (Podróż zimowa) presents as possible, yet actually unachievable.

    During communication in early childhood education, the teacher may adopt a fully dominant role in speaking in the classroom. He manages verbal space by agreeing to or refusing the possibility of speaking up, therefore socializing children to function in a structure of power and control. In order to verify the above statement I observed classes in the grades of early education in 3 public elementary schools in a large provincial town in the school year 2013/2014. The observation was aimed at the use of language situations that bore signs of teacher verbal violence against children. The aim of my research was to find out what means of verbal violence teachers of early education use in their communication with pupils and in what situations they do it. On the basis of observations, I singled out several kinds of situations, where a teacher used language to prepare children to function in a reality of subordination to authority, such as: teacher drill, action “in the school way”, the cult of formal correctness, the cult of silence, and the facade of appearances.

    Artykuł stanowi omówienie książki Anity Jarzyny pod tytułem Post-koine. Studia o nieantropocentrycznych językach (poetyckich) (2019), której przedmiotem jest analiza narracji nieantropocentrycznych we współczesnej poezji polskiej. Recenzentka przybliża problematykę monografii, zwracając uwagę na nieoczywisty wybór utworów interpretowanych przez Jarzynę, którą interesują przede wszystkim przebłyski perspektywy nieantropocentrycznej u autorów niekojarzonych z nurtem ekokrytycznym. Uwzględniając w swoich rozważaniach róznorodne konteksty interpretacyjne, autorka rezenzowanej książki nie tylko prezentuje szerokie spektrum zagadnień z zakresu animal studies, ale też przekonuje, że poezja jest zarazem odbiciem i zwiastunem zmian zachodzących w wyobraźni wspólnoty.
    This article is a discussion of Anita Jarzyna's book Post-koine. Studia o nieantropocentrycznych językach (poetyckich) [Post-koine. Studies of non-anthropocentric (poetic) languages] (2019), which analyses non-anthropocentric narratives in contemporary Polish poetry. The reviewer introduces the problematics of the monograph and notices the non-obvious choice of works interpreted by Jarzyna, who is primarily interested in glimpses of the non-anthropocentric perspective in authors not associated with the ecocritical writing. Taking into account various interpretative contexts, the author presents a wide spectrum of issues from the field of animal studies, and she also argues that poetry is both a reflection and a harbinger of changes that are taking place in the collective imagination.

    The article addresses the problem of verbal aggression and the phenomenon of hate speech in contemporary social reality. It aims at defining these phenomena, depicting their examples and mapping the boundaries between freedom of speech and hate speech. The constitutive features of the language of aggression are examined within two categories: how people say something and why people say it in that way.

    Głównym celem artykułu jest analiza problematyki ekologii w komunikowaniu religijnym w kontekście przejawów cancel culture w odniesieniu do Kościoła rzymskokatolickiego. Podstawowym przedmiotem niniejszych rozważań uczyniono encyklikę Laudato si’ papieża Franciszka, a także literaturę poświęconą cancel culture, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem intuicji Jo-Rene Formicoli. W związku z analizą komunikowania religijnego o ekologii sięgnięto do badań, które ukazują, w jakim stopniu encyklika społeczna papieża Franciszka, zwana zieloną lub ekologiczną, stanowiła istotny temat dyskusji na łamach najpopularniejszych katolickich tygodników opinii w Polsce. Analizując problematykę komunikowania religijnego o ekologii na podstawie Laudato si’, zaproponowano kierunki rozwoju „ekologii ludzkiej życia codziennego”, uwzględniające odniesienie do przeciwdziałania przemocy wobec ludzi i zwierząt. Artykuł finansowany w ramach programu Ministra Edukacji i Nauki pod nazwą „Regionalna Inicjatywa Doskonałości” w latach 2019-2023 (nr projektu 28/RID/2018/19, kwota finansowania 11 742 500 zł).
    The main aim of the article is to analyze the issues of ecology in religious communication in the context of the manifestations of cancel culture in relation to the Roman Catholic Church. The basic subject of these considerations is the encyclical Laudato si’ by Pope Francis, as well as the literature on cancel culture, with particular emphasis on the intuition of Jo-Rene Formicola. In connection with the analysis of religious communication about ecology, research was used that shows to what extent the social encyclical of Pope Francis, called green or ecological, was an important topic of discussion in the pages of the most popular Catholic opinion weeklies in Poland. Analyzing the issues of religious communication about ecology on the basis of Laudato si’, directions for the development of the “ecology of human everyday life” were proposed, taking into account the reference to counteracting violence against people and animals. The article was funded under the programme of the Minister of Education and Science "Regional Initiative of Excellence" in 2019--2023, project no. 28/RID/2018/19, amount of funding: PLN 11,742,500.

    Artykuł przybliża zagadnienia cyberbullyingu i agresji elektronicznej, klasyfikując je jako współczesne źródła potencjalnego niebezpieczeństwa dla uczestników komunikacji internetowej. Ponadto w artykule zamieszczono wyniki badania dotyczącego doświadczeń studentów związanych z omawianymi zjawiskami. Wskazano również na potencjalne formy zapobiegania przemocy w sieci.
    The Internet is a medium used for sharing various kinds of content. Its role in technology development, spread and accessibility of knowledge is essential. Internet also comes with certain risks, and one of the most important is the appearance of cyberbullying which is contemporary youth mobbing that moved on-line. The study defines the phenomenon of cyberbullying and presents forms that it takes. Moreover, the victims and the perpetrators of such violence were characterized and the results of the survey conducted in a group of students that demonstrate their personal experiences were discussed. Opportunities to prevent aggressive behavior on-line were also presented.

    In the article, the author stresses the necessity to abandon the traditional ways of teaching the Polish language and instead to develop the Key Competencies by utilizing private educational websites. During the crisis of traditional Polish philology, Polish language teachers and tutors discover new challenges as a result of alteration of the communication tools. Private educational sites represent the hi-tech didactic tools, which may co-determine the shape of the post-traditional Polish language teaching. National curriculum 2008 gives teachers and tutors a lot of freedom in constructing their own curriculum, however it requires possession of high competencies of the subject, just as maintaining one’s own website does. A creative use of contemporary didactic tools (but not colonization of such) represents a chance to counteract digital exclusion, structural violence and cosmopolitan identification; in addition it promotes e-inclusion. These are educational tasks important in countries in which the foreign capital dominates the media market (e.g. in Poland or Russia). It is only in the countries of so-called “democratic corporatism” (e.g. Germany, Austria, Norway) that electronic media are supervised, respect values fundamental for the society, address national concerns and serve local communities. Therefore, creation of private professional educational sites by Polish language teachers and tutors offers a chance to promote the national culture, to transform the subject “Polish language” into a post-traditional one, to develop the Key Competencies and to promote e-inclusion
