    The article discusses the very concept of the geography of science, which is strongly connected with the spatial turn in humanities. It concentrates on modern theory of literature – the discipline which was born and developed in so concrete space that it calls for the analysis of its beginning and evolution in spatial categories. In contrast with the existing conceptualizations, the article proposes to draw an anthropomorphic map of literary theory and then to study its development taking into consideration cities, cafes, cabarets, private seminars, family meetings and other unique unofficial spaces.

    Tematem artykułu jest ornamentacja na statuetkach antropomorficznych z górnego paleolitu. Najbardziej rozpowszechnione w literaturze górnopaleolityczne wizerunki ludzkie pochodzą ze środkowej fazy tego okresu (30-20 tys. lat p.n.e. i łączą się z upowszechnieniem kompleksu graweckiego na obszarach Europy Zachodniej, Środkowej i Wschodniej, a następnie epigraweckiego w Europie Wschodniej. Do wykonania ornamentów na figurkach używano takich samych narzędzi jak do zdobienia innych przedmiotów (rytych płytek i kości). Za pomocą narzędzi krzemiennych tworzono proste linie lub bardziej skomplikowane kompozycje geometryczne (kratki, trójkąty, zagłębienia). Ornamenty miały odpowiadać noszonym przez kobiety fryzurom, ozdobom i ubraniom (bransolety, przepaski, pasy, czapki). Zdobienia mogły mieć również symboliczny (lunarny) charakter. Należy jednak pamiętać, że tylko nieliczne statuetki były w przeszłości ornamentowane, a ich stopień realizmu nie miał znaczenia (zarówno realistyczne, jak i schematyczne wyobrażenia poddawane były ornamentacji). Większość przedstawień graweckich w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej pozbawiona jest zdobień, dlatego słuszna wydaje się teza o symboliczno-społecznym ich wymiarze.
    The statuettes with ornamentation mentioned in the article are from the upper Paleolithic epoch. The most famous ones come from the middle phase of this period (30-20 thousand years before present) and they belong to the gravettian complex of Western, Central and Eastern Europe, and the epigravettian complex in Eastern Europe. It includes several cultural unites: the pavlovian in Moravia and Lower Austria, the Willendorf culture in Austria, Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia, the Kostenki culture in the Russian Plain and epigravettian in the valley of the middle Dniester, Dnieper and Don. The most famous paleolithic "Venus", comes from Willendorf. It refers to the ancient sculptures of women, although abundant shapes and nudity of the paleolithic statuettes contrast with the classic representations of ideal proportions. Most of the human images from this period was not decorated, but some of them are characterized by rich ornamentation on their heads, chest, back, elbows and wrists. Probably these are the hairstyles, hats, aprons and bracelets. There are also geometric ornaments, which perhaps could be tattoos. In the article there are analyzed techniques and the importance of the ornamentation of anthropomorphic statuettes from gravettian cultures of Central and Eastern Europe. During the research the microscopic method was used (a microscope Delta Optical SZ- 630T). The project was funded by the National Science Center and thanks to the MZM in Brno and OA Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

    The main purpose of this article is to demonstrate the possible continuity between early Palestinian cults reconstructed from anthropomorphic figurines and later beliefs. Figurines from the major archeological cultures including: Kebarian, Natufian or Yarmukian indicate a common ceremony of religious character, possibly connected with the cult of fertility. In this contexts particularly noteworthy is so-called „Ain Sakhiri Lovers” figurine which is unique and interpreted as showing a sexual intercourse. By presenting some of the types of early Palestinian anthropomorphic figurines, the author would like to discuss possible connections between earliest artifacts of probable religious meaning with documented religious systems.

    W artykule przedstawiono problematykę pomiarów wielkości fizycznych towarzyszących eksplozji. Wprowadzeniem do artykułu jest opis aktualnie obowiązujących regulacji w tym zakresie. Wyszczególniono urządzenia i systemy niezbędne do prowadzenia badań oraz wskazano kryteria oceny. W dalszej części przedstawiono zagadnienia dotyczące praktyki metrologicznej. Opisano metody synchronizacji startu akwizycji i eksplozji, kryteria doboru i metody montażu przetworników pomiarowych, problematykę przesyłania sygnałów na bezpieczne odległości oraz zagadnienia dotyczące analizy otrzymanych wyników. Przedstawiono praktyczne rozwiązania tych problemów w oparciu o badania prowadzone w Zakładzie Ekspertyz Materiałowych Uzbrojenia i Sprzętu WITPiS. Bazując na doświadczeniu zdobytym w trakcie badań z wykorzystaniem antropomorficznego urządzenia pomiarowego Hybrid III, opisano najważniejsze zagadnienia eksploatacyjne. Wskazano te obszary, które w warunkach niestacjonarnych są najbardziej problematyczne oraz rozwiązania praktyczne tych problemów.
    In the article are presented problems of measurements of physical parameters during vehicles blast tests. Introduction of the article describes standards in this area. There are described test devices and measurement systems and evaluation criteria are indicated. The next part of article describes methods of synchronizations of acquisition system and blast initiation, methods of fixing transducers, problems with safe distance signals transmission and analysis of received results. The practical solutions of these problems based on tests conducted by Department of Expert’s Opinions on Materials for Weapons and Equipment of Military Institute of Armoured and Automotive Technology. Basing on experience gained during tests with dummy (Anthropomorphic Measurement Device – Hybrid III) the most important practical remarks are described. The article indicates the areas which are the most problematic according to nonstationary conditions of test and indicates practical solutions of these problems.

    Opis:
    This paper presents the prototype of a miniature anthropomorphic robot. This robot was designed as a low-cost hardware platform for implementing basic skills of a humanoid: efficient gaits, balance maintenance, effective programming of complicated motion sequences. We provide a detailed description of the mechanical and electronic design, present the basic software modules, and demonstrate some applications of this robot. The prototype was tested extensively participating in numerous competitions and live performances.
    W artykule przedstawiono prototyp miniaturowego robota antropomorficznego. Robot ten został zaprojektowany jako tania platforma sprzętowa do realizacji podstawowych ludzkich umiejętności: wydajny chód, utrzymanie równowagi, efektywne programowanie skomplikowanych sekwencji ruchu. Przedstawiono szczegółowy opis projektu mechaniki i elektroniki, podstawowych fragmentów oprogramowania oraz zaprezentowano niektóre z zastosowań robota. Prototyp został gruntownie przetestowany podczas startu w licznych zawodach i występach na żywo.

    Upadek z wysokości jest jednym z najpoważniejszych zagrożeń, z jakim stykają się ludzie w środowisku pracy w Polsce. Dotyczy to głównie stanowisk pracy w takich dziedzinach przemysłu, jak budownictwo, energetyka, górnictwo, gospodarka magazynowa itp. Jedną z podstawowych metod zabezpieczania pracowników w takich warunkach jest stosowanie indywidualnego sprzętu chroniącego przed upadkiem z wysokości. Wybór ten niesie ze sobą specyficzne zagrożenia związane zdziałaniem sprzętu podczas powstrzymywania spadania. Jednym z najpoważniejszych zagrożeń jest uderzenie o elementy stanowiska pracy podczas powstrzymywania spadania połączonego z ruchem wahadłowym. W artykule zaprezentowano warunki powstawania ruchu wahadłowego podczas powstrzymywania spadania z wysokości oraz pozycje jakie może przyjmować wówczas człowiek wyposażony w szelki bezpieczeństwa. Na podstawie wyników badań, w których zastosowano manekin antropomorficzny, oceniono potencjalne skutki uderzenia głową o przeszkodę podczas ruchu wahadłowego. Określono metody zabezpieczenia przed powstawaniem ruchu wahadłowego oraz sposoby łagodzenia skutków zderzenia z przeszkodami w obrębie stanowiska pracy W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe wymagania dla hełmów ochronnych przeznaczonych do równoczesnego stosowania z indywidualnym sprzętem chroniącym przed upadkiem z wysokości
    A fall from a height is one of the most serious hazards faced by employees in the work environment. It is present mostly at workstations m such industries as construction. power engineering, mining, storage, etc. Using individual protective equipment against falls from a height is a basic method of protecting workers under such conditions. The choice of this method carries specific risks associated with the functioning of equipment during fall arrest. Hitting elements of the workstation during fall arrest associated with pendulum movement is a very serious threat. This paper presents conditions which trigger pendulum movement during fall arrest and the positions which a human equipped with a full body harness can assume then Potential effects of the impact of the head against an obstacle during pendulum movement are discussed on the basis of the results of research with an anthropomorphic dummy. The article discusses methods of preventing swing movement and ways of mitigating the effects of collisions with obstacles within the workstation It. also presents the basic requirements for protective helmets intended for use with individual protection equipment against falls from a height.

    Opis:
    W artykule dokonano porównania manipulatorów antropomorficznych i przemysłowych. Wskazano podstawowe różnice pomiędzy tymi konstrukcjami wynikające zarówno ze sposobu sterownia jak również struktury kinematycznej. Przedstawiono sposób opracowania struktury kinematycznej manipulatora antropomorficznego jako konstrukcji podobnej do ludzkiej kończyny górnej. Opracowano model manipulator antropomorficznego w oparciu o przyjęte złożenia dotyczące znacznego zwiększenia ludzkich możliwość roboczych w kontekście prac przeładunkowo-transportowych. Przeprowadzono badania symulacyjne na opracowanym modelu manipulatora w aspekcie określenia wybranych parametrów hydrostatycznego układu napędowego.
    The article compares anthropomorphic and industrial manipulators. The basic differences between these constructions are indicated, resulting both from the control method as well as the kinematic structure. Presented the method of developing the kinematic structure of the anthropomorphic manipulator as a construction similar to the human upper limb. An anthropomorphic manipulator model was developed based on accepted assemblies concerning a significant increase in human working capacity in the context of reloading and transport work. Simulation studies were carried out on the manipulator model developed in the aspect of determining selected hydrostatic drive system parameters.

    Opis:
    Works of art are an integral part of religious culture and they reflect its wealth in Christian piety. However, while methodology of research into works of religious art has consolidated its fixed and tested methods, interpretation of works in the context of cultural studies asks questions, raises doubts, and sometimes stirs up controversies. Nevertheless, one cannot help deliberating over the cultural-religious function of such significant evidences in the heritage of Christian culture as reliquaries, especially ones in the form of parts of the body, like the hand, foot, head, arm etc. In the aspect of the cult of relics of saints and the ways of practicing this cult, reliquaries have been discussed in detail in theological research, in hagiography of spirituality, as well as in the history e.g. of pilgrimages and of the cult of saints. The present deliberations try to interpret various forms of works of art connected with the cult of saints. Reliquaries in the form of parts of the body that serve keeping relics of saints evoke faith in sanctity and in the resurrection of bodies. It is in them that the mystery of resurrection of the body as a new body, with new features of the matter, has been illustrated. Its nature may be most adequately made evident by the nature of the light, brightness, radiating of colours. Even Roman mosaics filling the early Christian churches used the new artistic medium in depicting pictures of saints and of God. The form of the body divided into small tesserae implies the body that is “in pieces”, joined again with mortar into a new visual quality of joined pieces covered with gold and precious dyes. The technique of mosaic allowed rendering the shining and the brightness of colours, making one aware of the mystic matter and showing with the use of artistic means the nature of a saint’s body as a “new body”. In this way mosaics and reliquaries make it easier for the faithful to realize the mystery of the “new body” of the saint and the resurrected martyrs. This is why the mosaic décor, especially in the apses and the places where relics of saints are placed in early Christian Rome churches, is compared to reliquaries that were common in medieval Europe and in Poland. They belong to the common heritage of religious culture that in a sensual way showed the mysteries of resurrection of the bodies of martyrs and of their relics. Artistic objects participate in the Church’s teaching and faith, constituting the mutual heritage of art and faith.
