    Extolling of God takes primate place among religiousness forms, as wit-nessed the Book of Psalms and Tobias’s Book in which prayer anthem let to get into the world of “prayer reminiscences”, extracting from it understated but suggested affinity of thoughts in the “biblical world”. The characteristic for this Tobias’s prayer is worshipping of God in the background of the dispersion which is not a kind of cult celebration but is connected with some value system of all Jewish community during the period of aQer exile and also reality of Jerusalem in its eschatological dimension outlined in Ezekiel’s temple vision and in apocalypse of Deutroizaiah. His anthem’s reminiscences in other biblical books let to enlarge Tobias’s “back-ground”, presented in his deutro-canonical book, to other prayer forms and extract from them new semantic dimensions, which with their meaning and “telling” nar-ration join in historical narration saving activity of God.

    The spiritual notes of seminarian Jan Ślęzak need to be read during the prayer. As a result, it would be easier to understand their deeper meaning that grew in the heart of a young boy, the heart, which was filled with the desire for sanctity. This desire, as he used to say, needs to be achieved with “the iron discipline.”After a lecture of Notatki… we can see that he was open for the seminary formation and he had a vision of the future. Jan submitted himself to the Word of God and worshipped Jesus Christ present in the Blessed Sacrament. This was a source of his spiritual life that he was discovering when we was a seminarian and remained faithful to it till the end of his life. Consequently, his priestly service was so fruitful. Many testimonies of his parishioners are the evidence of his outstanding work.A close relation with God in the prayer enabled seminarian Jan to discover very important issue: gifts that we receive from God. A person who is sensitive to God’s matters is grateful for all that comes from God. The person sees that his whole life and each day is a gift for others.A deeper look, which Jan had, is expressed in his notes on the topic of death. Life is a short period which we need to live in a total closeness to God. It means that death is a passage to the eternity, where the experience of God is in fullness of joy. A spiritual figure of Jan Ślęzak is an example for the present formation of seminarians. It is good to draw on the experience of people, for whom God was a center of every action.
    Ksiądz Jan Ślęzak, proboszcz w Ołpinach był człowiekiem, który realizował powołanie w sposób radosny i bardzo ofiarny. Rozpalała go miłość do Boga, a poprzez to do drugiego człowieka. Był księdzem „z powołania” – zgodnie z określeniem, którego wierni używają w odniesieniu do księży, którzy są dla nich, a nie dla siebie.Z Notatek rekolekcyjnych wiemy, w jaki sposób kształtował swe powołanie alumn Jan. Bardzo wyraźnie dostrzegamy jego zaangażowanie w formację ludzką, duchową i intelektualną. To właśnie w Seminarium Duchownym w Tarnowie odnalazł fundament na całe życie. Dlatego też posługa w parafii przynosiła tak wiele owoców.Ksiądz Jan Ślęzak wpisuje się w profil duchowy księdza diecezjalnego, który spala się w posłudze kapłańskiej dla wiernych, ogłaszając zmartwychwstałego Chrystusa. Tym profilem jest bycie dla ludu, bycie z ludem. I to ma najgłębszy sens.

    W Eucharystii zawiera się całe dobro duchowe Kościoła, czyli Jezus Chrystus, który jest naszą Paschą i Chlebem żywym, który przez swoje ożywione przez Ducha Świętego i ożywiające Ciało daje życie ludziom. Swoją zbawczą skuteczność czerpie ona z realnej obecności Chrystusa. Z Eucharystią wiążą się również inne popularne formy kultu praktykowane w Kościele. Najbardziej znaną i rozpowszechnioną formą kultu Eucharystii poza Mszą św. jest niewątpliwie wystawienie i adoracja Najświętszego Sakramentu. Praktykowana jest ona na różne sposoby: znane są tak zwane wieczyste adoracje Najświętszego Sakramentu, podczas których adoruje się Chrystusa Eucharystycznego przez cały dzień, nabożeństwa czterdziestogodzinne, nabożeństwa różańcowe i inne okazjonalne formy tego kultu. Artykuł ukazuje teologiczne podstawy dla adoracji Najświętszego Sakramentu. Adoracja Chrystusa Eucharystycznego podkreśla odkupieńczy wymiar przebywania Boga pośród swojego ludu i zachęca do pełnego uczestnictwa we Mszy Świętej. Najważniejszym motywem dla adoracji jest rzeczywista obecność Chrystusa w Najświętszym Sakramencie. Uroczysta adoracja Chrystusa Eucharystycznego ma zawsze wymiar teocentryczny, chrystologiczny, eklezjalny i eschatologiczny.
    The Eucharist contains the entire spiritual good of the Church, that is Jesus Christ, our Passover and living bread. Through his flesh, made living and life-giving by the Holy Spirit, he gives life to men. The Eucharist draws its saving effectiveness from the real presence of Christ. There are other popular forms of cult outside Holy Mass which are connected with the Eucharist and practised in the Church. The best known and most widespread of these is the Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration. It is practised in various forms: so-called Perpetual adoration, which takes place in chapels where the Body of Christ is adored round the clock; forty-hour adoration; rosary services and other occasional forms of that cult. This article reveals the theological basis for adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Adoration of Christ in the Eucharist underlines the redemptive dimension of God who is present among his people and encourages them to full participation in Holy Mass. The most important motive for adoration is the real presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament. Solemn adoration of Christ in the Eucharist always has the theocentric, christological, ecclesiastical and eschatological dimension.

    Opis:
    The analysis of nature and structure of Christian prayer in Origen’s treatise De oratione (about 234), presented in this article, shows that this opuscule can be considered as a synthesis of the theory of prayer, but it doesn’t contain its decisive and precise conception. Following St. Paul’s teaching (1 Tm 2:1) Origen distinguishes four kinds of prayer: petition, thanksgiving, propitiation and adoration; but in the same time he is convinced that in practice they can’t be separated, because they form an integral act of prayer. For instance, propitiatory prayer can’t form separate prayer, but it is necessary condition of the preparation to each prayer. Origen’s conception was continued in the Latin Church in 5th century by John Cassian and it became base for the later development of the theology of prayer.

    Przedmiotem analiz autorki są modlitewne rozważania Karola Wojtyły – Jana Pawła II zawarte w zbiorze: Jestem bardzo w rękach Bożych. Notatki osobiste 1962–2003. Badane są te fragmenty tekstu, w których nadawca jest tożsamy z odbiorcą, a modlitewne akty o charakterze wewnętrznym – medytacje, kontemplacje i adoracje – tworzą jeden z składników dnia skupienia lub rekolekcji pojmowanych jako makrogatunek (gatunek w formie kolekcji). Ujęzykowione modlitwy wewnętrzne pozwalają na ich ogląd zarówno w aspekcie genologicznym, jak i pod kątem cech stylowych. W rekolekcyjnych rozmyślaniach Karola Wojtyły uwidocznione zostają takie wykładniki stylu religijnego, jak: symboliczne widzenie świata, dążenie do odsłonięcia tego, co trudno wyrażalne w języku dyskursywnym i niedostępne w doświadczeniu potocznym, kontemplacyjna postawa wobec rzeczywistości oraz stylistycznie rozumiana kategoria medytacyjności.
    The author analyses meditative reflections by Karol Wojtyła – John Paul II, collected in a volume entitled I Am so Much in God’s Hands. Personal Notes, 1962–2003 (Krakow 2014). The author examines the fragments of the text in which the speaker is identical with the addressee, and where internal prayer acts: meditations, contemplations and adorations. They are components of a reflection day or a religious retreat defined as a macro-genre (a collective genre). When expressed through language, internal prayers can be viewed in their text-typological and stylistic aspects. Karol Wojtyła’s retreat-related meditations reflect exponents of the religious style including a symbolic vision of the world, an attempt to unveil the reality that is hard to depict through discursive language and unreachable to common experience, a contemplative attitude towards reality and a stylistic understanding of the category of meditation.

    Wychowanie do prawdziwie chrześcijańskiej modlitwy będzie zawsze polegało na tym, co jasno wyłożył św. Paweł w swojej olśniewającej carmen Christo: „Niech was ożywiają uczucia znamienne dla Jezusa Chrystusa” (por. Flp 2,5). Z dalszych wersetów wynika, jakie: miłość, dobroć, pokora, posłuszeństwo wobec Boga, dar z siebie. O moralność chodzi tu wtórnie (co nie znaczy: nie-istotnie), pierwszorzędnie zaś o to, by myśleć, działać i kochać jak Jezus, w Nim i dla Niego. Bo Kościół jest wspólnotą zjednoczoną na modlitwie z Jezusem.
    Ratzinger shows christological specificity of Christian prayer against the background of the universal phenomenon of prayer based on existential imperative of human transcendental search for sense and longing for the Other. First of all, it consists not so much in the specific spiritual practice as a moral duty, as it has an ontological source. Jesus convinces of that on the pages of the Gospel, when He reveals the very essence of intertrinitary relations in His man’s prayer (both in its content and form) to His Father. The essential relationship between love and submission, adoratio and proskynesis, expressed by the filial communion with the Father’s will, also in the time of death, is a salutary ‘yes’ for us of God’s promises and defines what human piety actually is. Christian prayer consists in participating in the prayers of Jesus and – as such – it constitutes the foundation and essential experience of the Church.

    W artykule podjęto temat kultu maryjnego organizowanego w formie kaplic z adoracją Najświętszego Sakramentu i modlitwą w intencji pokoju na świecie. Organizatorem tych miejsc jest katolickie Stowarzyszenie Królowa Pokoju. Celem działalności stowarzyszenia jest m.in. propagowanie modlitwy o pokój na całym świecie. Efektem działalności stowarzyszenia jest 8 Światowych Centr Modlitwy o Pokój, w których znajdują się kaplice z ołtarzami adoracji Najświętszego Sakramentu i trwa całodobowa modlitwa. Ołtarze noszą nazwę Gwiazd w Koronie Maryi. Oprócz nich są też nielimitowane gwiazdy-monstrancje. Inicjatywa „Gwiazd” jest przejawem pobożności maryjnej o charakterze oddolnym. Ołtarze są dziełami sztuki sakralnej odnoszącymi się do treści biblijnych i przedstawiającymi poprawne przesłanie teologicznie.
    The article analyses the Marian worship organised in the form of shrines with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the prayer for peace in the world. The organiser of these places is the Association of the Queen of Peace. The aim of its activities is, among others, promoting the prayer for peace around the world. The result of the Association’s activities are eight World Prayer Centers for Peace, in which there are chapels with altars for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the round-the-clock prayer. There are centers in the following cities: Bethlehem (Palestine), Oziorne (Kazakhstan), Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Yamoussoukro Ivory Coast), Namyang (South Korea), Kibeho (Rwanda), Dagupan (Philippines), Niepokalanów (Poland). Ultimately, there are to be twelve chapels, in reference to the twelve stars in the crown of the apocalyptic woman (cf. Rev 12). The shrines located in the Centers are called Stars in the Crown of Mary. The Association also organizes places of adoration called “Stars on the Mantle of Mary Queen of Peace” in reference to the image of Mary in Guadalupe. The initiative of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with the intention of praying for peace is a manifestation of Marian piety of the grassroot nature. The altars and the liturgical objects are the sacred art based on biblical content and the present a theologically correct message.
