Przedstawić Bogu własną winę jako coś przynależącego do mnie i zakładanego w sposób bezwarunkowy stanowi jedną z najważniejszych prawd rozpoznanych o Bogu i Biblii. Już psalmista wie, iż winien przynieść przed Boga swoją winę i potrzeby, nie odczuwając obawy przed potępieniem czy skazaniem. Należy o wiele bardziej mieć nadzieję na przebaczenie. Ps 130,4 mówi, że Bóg jest "Bogiem przebaczenia". Swoją dobrocią Bóg prowadzi proszącego do bojaźni i wiary  wobec siebie, tak że może on ufać Bożemu słowu i  obietnicy. Przebaczenie stanowi też tło nowego przymierza. Oznacza ono wypisanie na sercu Prawa (Jr 31,31-34). To Prawo wymaga zasadniczej przemiany człowieka. Przynależenie do nowego ludu Boga oznacza działanie nie w oparciu o stare, wypisane na kamieniu Prawo, lecz w oparciu o doświadczenie przebacznia, na którym należy budować własne życie.

After the introductory part discussing the historical background and the surroundings in which Solomon’s Psalms were composed, the article contains translations of the first eight psalms from Greek. In the footnotes there are references to the texts from the Old Testament which were used in Solomon’s Psalms and to the texts from the New Testament where literary similarities to the Psalms can be noticed.

Die so genannten Psalmen Salomos gehören zu den wichtigen Dokumenten der intertestamentalen Literatur. Sie sind in den pharisäischen Kreisen des ausgehenden 1. Jahrhunderts nach Chr. entstanden. Im Artikel wird die Ubersetzung von 18 Psalmen gegeben und ihre zahlreichen Paralellen im NT aufgezeigt. Der Verfasser weist auch die dort enthaltenen messianischen Gedanken.

L’histoire du peuple élu constitue l’objet seulement des livres bibliques dont Pentateuque fut le premier; elle apparait également dans la poésie biblique et dans les Psaumes tout particulièrement. Ceux-ci contiennent maintes allusions aux événements historiques d’Israël. L’auteur du présent article laisse de côté l’étude des événements historique selon les Psaumes et porte toute son attention à la Pentateuque elle-même. II s’efforce avant tout de répondre à trois questions: 1. Quels sont, dans le passé d’Israël, les faits et gestes connus par le livre de Pentateuque qui réapparaissent dans les Psaumes (I): 2. Quel est le rôle qui revient à cette version poétique du passé d’Israël que présentent les Psaumes (II) et 3. Quels motifs décidèrent du choix des récits empruntés par les Psaumes à la Pentateuque (III). Etant donné que la description du passé d’Israël apparait surtout dans les Psaumes 78, 105 et 108, ce sont ceux-ci qui deviennent l’objet d’une analyse thématique que cette étude entreprend en premier lieu; l’auteur examine par la suite la fonction du contenu historique dans ces trois Psaumes et cherche les raisons qui décidèrent du choix d’un tel thème et non d’un autre ou de la préférence pour une telle forme au détriment d’une autre. Dans la conclusion l’auteur constate que les psalmistes connaissaient à peu près tous les récits de la Pentateuque au sujet d’Israël et que les auteurs des Psaumes 105 et 106 devaient les connaitre déjà en version écrite. En outre, il semble que le passé d’Israël n’est jamais dans les Psaumes le centre d’intérêt pour les psalmistes mais qu’il joue, chaque fois qu’il apparait, un rôle didactique. C’est précisément ce rôle didactique qui fit préférer certains thèmes de la Pentateuque on tant que se prêtant le mieux à un enseignement valable pour le présent.

Im Artikel befasst sich der Autor mit der Methode antirrhesis von Evagrios Pontikos. Der Ponter Mönch (+ 399), der als „porte-parole” des asketichen millieu auf der egyptischen Wüste gilt, hat in seiner Schrift Atirrheticus eine Strategie des gegen böse Gedanken gerrichteten Kampfes ausgearbeitet. Von etwa 500 biblischen Zitaten, die Evagrios für diesen Zweck verwendet, über Hundert kommt aus dem Psalmenbuch. Im Artikel werden die grundsätzlichen Elemente der antirrhesis dargestellt, mit  zahlreichen Beispielen aus Psalmenbuch illustriert. Schliesslich wird eine Überlegung über den Sinn dieser asketischen Übung unternommen.

Ubogi z psalmów jest wiernym członkiem ludu Izraela, który znalazł się w stanie jakiegoś zagrożenia. Zagrożenie to może mieć naturę społeczną, polityczną lub religijną. W poczuciu swej bezradności orant kieruje wołanie do Boga, który zawarł z Izraelem przymierze. Pojęcie ubóstwa w psalmach Izraela rozwijało się, przybierając znaczenia coraz bardziej metaforyczne. W Kazaniu na górze Jezus nadaje ubóstwu najwyższą rangę duchową, uznając je za główny przymiot duchowy w przynależności do królestwa: „Błogosławieni ubodzy w duchu”.
Poor of Psalms is a faithful member of the people of Israel, who was in a state of emergency. This threat may be the nature of the social, political or religious. The sense of helplessness, directs the call to God, who has entered into Covenant with Israel. The concept of poverty in the Psalms of Israel developed, taking on more and more importance metaphorical. Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, the highest rank poverty gives spiritual, recognizing them as the main attribute of belonging to a spiritual realm: Blessed (happiness) are the poor in Spirit.

Psalmy w ordo paenitentiae (studium historyczno-liturgiczne)Księga Psalmów zawarta w Starym Testamencie to zbiór natchnionych pieśni religijnych o bogatej tematyce, za pomocą których Kościół rzymskokatolicki składa Bogu ofiarę chwały. Zarazem misją Kościoła jest niesienie wszystkim ludziom Bożego przebaczenia. Artykuł niniejszy wykazuje obecność wersetów psalmicznych czy też całych psalmów w trzech środowiskach i ich tekstach: w judaistycznych obrzędach pokutnych, w Pawłowej doktrynie o usprawiedliwieniu i w sprawowaniu sakramentu pokuty na Zachodzie. Owocem badania jest konstatacja, że Scriptura crescit cum orante nie tylko podczas lektury Pisma, ale przede wszystkim jako jego aktualizacja i waloryzacja w przebiegu obrzędu sakramentu pokuty. Konstatacja ta skłania do postawienia kwestii: sine psalmis nulla paenitentia?
The book of Psalms in the Old Testament is a set of inspired religious songs embracing a rich variety of topics through which the Roman-Catholic Church offers to God a sacrifice of glory. Yet the mission of the Church is to share God's reconciliation with all people of the world. The following article indicates the presence of psalmodic verses or the entire psalms in three contexts and their texts: in judaistic rites of penance, in the Pauline doctrine of justification and in the celebration of the sacrament of penance in the West. The fruit of this investigation may be the conclusion, that Scriptura crescit cum orante not only during the reading of the Scriptures, but mainly as its actualization and valorization while celebrating the sacrament of penance. Such a view inclines for a reflection, whether sine psalmis nulla paenitentia?

Za punkt wyjścia, w swoich rozważaniach nad znaczeniem składania ofiary (z) wdzięczności w starotestamentowym rytuale, przyjmę psalmy dziękczynne, które rozpoznaje się zwykle przez obecność w nich słów pochodzących od hebrajskiego rdzenia jada, czyli dziękować. W Psalmach tych także można znaleźć takie zwroty jak hodu – dziękujcie czy toda – dziękczynienie. Dodatkowo w pierwszym rzędzie słowo hoda znaczy rozpoznać i uznać. Wdzięczność będzie zatem nabierała charakteru dziękczynnego tylko wtedy, kiedy będzie ona w sobie zawierała czynność rozpoznania i uznania. Psalmy dziękczynne zbudowane są również na przeciwstawieniu tematycznym śmierć-życie prowadzącym do diametralnego zwrotu w egzystencji. Wyrazem takiego stanu są ofiary, które według midraszu Rabiego Kahany oddziałują na sferę kosmiczną. Ich składanie jest tożsame wtedy ze stwarzaniem nieba i ziemi. Co więc leży u podstaw kultu ofiarnego w Tanachu? Co go ukierunkowało i nadało mu znaczenie? Jaka jest rola wdzięczności w tym procesie i do kogo jest ona dzisiaj kierowana?
The author chose as the point of departure for his reflections on the meaning of the sacrifice of thanksgiving in the Old Testament ritual thanksgiving psalms, recognised usually by the presence of words originating from the Hebrew jada – give thanks. Such phrases as hodu – give thanks or toda can be also found in the Psalms. In addition, the word hoda’ah means, first of all, to recognise. Gratitude thus will assume the character of thanksgiving only when it contains the activity of recognition and appreciation. Thanksgiving psalms are also built on a death-life thematic contraposition resulting in a diametrical turn in existence. The expression of such a state involves sacrifices which, according to the Rabbi Kahane Midrash, affect the cosmic sphere. Offering them is then identical with the creation of Heaven and Earth. What, therefore, consists the foundation of the sacrificial in the Tanach? What steered it and endowed it with significance? What is the role of thanksgiving in this process, and to whom is it addressed today?

This article presents the importance of the Psalms in the life of a Christian in the light of the teaching of Benedict XVI. The Psalms allow us to dialogue with God in His words. They are a true school of prayer: they teach us to turn to God in every state of mind, in every situation and with every emotion that man experiences. The Psalms take on their full meaning and value in the light of the Person of Jesus Christ. In praying the psalms, the Christian addresses himself to the Father in Christ and with Christ, opening himself to a new perspective which has its ultimate interpretative key in the paschal mystery. In this way he comes to know the Saviour better and can deepen his relationship with Him. Praying the Psalms is important in the contemporary context because, in times of crisis of hope and forgetfulness of God, it teaches us to seek reliable support in the Creator and Saviour and to turn always to Him.

Przedłożony artykuł jest próbą opisu sposobu, w jaki autorzy psalmów postrzegali funkcjonowanie sfery religijno-moralnej ludzkiego lēb, lēbāb (hebr. serce) w relacjach z Bogiem, w których objawia się ono jako sceneria zarówno tryumfów jak i klęsk ludzkiej wolności. W opracowaniu ukazane zostały trzy obrazy: 1° natura powiązań Bosko ludzkich relacji z ‘sercem’; 2° postawa człowieka świadomego powiązań swego bytu z Najwyższym i Nieodgadnionym, dającym się jednak poznać sercom tych, którzy wiernie mu służą; 3° smutny los tych, którzy odwrócili się od Boga postanowieniem przedsięwziętym w ‘sercu’.
The submitted article is an attempt to describe the way in which the authors of the Psalms perceived the functioning of the religious-moral sphere of the human lēb, lēbāb (Hebrew:'heart') in relations with God, in which it is revealed as the setting of both triumphs and disasters of human freedom. The study presents three images: 1° the nature of the links betweenthe divine-human relationship and the 'heart'; 2° the attitude of man aware of the links of his being with the Most High and the Unknowable, who nevertheless makes himself known tothe hearts of those who faithfully serve him; 3° the sad fate of those who turn away from God with a decision made in the 'heart'.

Troska o pielęgnowanie cnoty mądrości w życiu człowieka jest jednym z istotnych zagadnień komentarza św. Tomasza z Akwinu do księgi Psalmów. Perspektywa refleksji nie ogranicza się jednak do naturalnych starań o wiedzę w świetle przyczyn ostatecznych, lecz znajduje swój wzór i źródło w osobie Jezusa Chrystusa. Odwołując się do tekstów Lectura super Psalmos, zostanie przedstawiona Tomaszowa interpretacja chrystologiczna Psalmów, realizująca się na wielu płaszczyznach, opierająca się na teorii sensów biblijnych, ale także sposoby ujmowania mądrości w jej dynamizmie partycypacyjnym, który silnie oddziałuje na rozumienie teologii przez pryzmat kontemplacji mądrościowej historii i dzieł Boga. Sapiencjalny charakter teologii to jej wrażliwość na to, co ucieka pobieżnym obserwacjom świata, redukującym ją do jednego tylko wymiaru. W centrum rozważań pozostanie pytanie o naturę „analogii mądrościowej” w pismach Akwinaty, wyeksponowanie postrzegania mądrości jako cognitio divinorum, konieczność uczestnictwa w wiedzy Boga, a także wymiar soteriologiczny mądrości.
The cultivation of the virtues of wisdom in a person’s life is one of the important issues of commentary of St. Thomas Aquinas to the book of Psalms. The prospect of reflection is not limited to the natural effort of knowledge in the light of the ultimate causes, but finds its model and source in the person of Jesus Christ. Referring to the texts Lectura super Psalmos, will be presented Thomas’s Christological interpretation of the Psalms, based on the theory of biblical meanings, but also as a way to recognize the wisdom in its participatory dynamism, which strongly affects the understanding of theology from the perspective of the history of wise contemplation and works of God. Sapiential nature of theology is its sensitivity to that what escapes a cursory observation of the world, reducing it to only to one dimension. In the center of discussion remains the question of the nature of the “analogy of wisdom” in the writings of Aquinas, exposing the perception of wisdom as cognitio divinorum, the necesity to participate in the knowledge of God and the salvific dimension of wisdom.
