Opis:: The author starts the article with the considerations about the definition of place. Then She characterizes two educational movements – urban and rural, that establish a direct and visible connection between place and pedagogy. The essential part of the publication of Stephanie R. Jayanandhan explores the links between the three tenets of J. Dewey’s philosophy of education (environment, experience, and democracy) and the tripartite definition of place of Lawrence Buell. The last part of the paper marks the importance of pedagogy of place in a mobile society.

Opis:: Dostęp do technologii mobilnych to trend ogólny – korzystają z nich niemal wszyscy, bez względu na wiek, płeć, status społeczny czy zawodowy. Kontakt z nimi mają coraz młodsze dzieci. Z badań wynika, że dzieci roczne, a nawet dwuletnie posiadają własne urządzenia mobilne. Korzystanie z takich urządzeń niesie jednak szereg zagrożeń dla rozwoju dzieci, przyczyniając się do licznych zaburzeń w rozwoju fizycznym, emocjonalnym i poznawczym. Przy odpowiedniej kontroli ze strony dorosłych urządzenia te mogą jednak wzbogacać proces rozwoju i edukacji dzieci.
Access to mobile technology is a general trend – almost all of us use them, regardless of age, gender, social status and profession. Younger and younger children have contact with them. Research shows that even one - and two - year - old children have their own mobile devices. Improper use of these devices, however, carries a number of risks for the development of children, contributing to numerous disorders in their physical, emotional and cognitive development. With proper control by the adults these devices can, however, enrich children’s educational process.

Opis:: This article presents a review and analysis of the new sociological theories of migration and integration that have developed since the 1990s, including transnationalism, liquid migration and incomplete migration, as well as new concepts of multiculturalism, assimilation, integration and adaptation to transnational spaces. The paper postulates and justifies the need for better integration of migration studies with more general sociological theory. On the one hand, migration studies should be more embedded in general sociological theory. On the other hand, the achievements of migration studies should be employed by sociologists to a greater degree. This seems to be particularly advisable in the context of the emergence of the new metaparadigm of mobility, as opposed to settlement. As a result, the role of migration as a key research problem and theories pertaining to an emerging mobile society is increasing.
