    Opis:
    In recent decades, many publications devoted to the relationship between working time and health have been written. Available sources characterise different methodological approaches and different research perspectives, and the conclusions presented have not been unequivocal yet. The literature refers to both direct research on the impact of working time on health and to descriptions of wider phenomena indirectly related to the issue. Most studies in this area face a potential bias of the sample and the problem of the inverse causality of the impact of working time on health. Due to the reform of the labour law in France that shortened working time while maintaining a constant income, the analysis of the impact of working time on health carried out on the example of this country has overcome the difficulties faced by previous publications in the area. It has been shown that the reduction in working time has positively contributed to the health of the French.
    W ostatnich dziesięcioleciach powstało wiele publikacji, w których badano zależność pomiędzy czasem pracy a zdrowiem. Dostępne źródła charakteryzują różne podejścia metodologiczne i odmienną perspektywę badawczą, a prezentowane wnioski nie były dotychczas jednoznaczne. Literatura odnosi się zarówno do bezpośrednich badań nad wpływem czasu pracy na zdrowie, jak i do opisów szerszych zjawisk, pośrednio związanych z opisywanym zagadnieniem. W większości analiz przedstawionych w publikacjach z zakresu wpływu czasu pracy na zdrowie zmagano się z potencjalnym obciążeniem próby oraz problemem odwrotnej przyczynowości wpływu czasu pracy na zdrowie. Ze względu na reformę prawa pracy we Francji, polegającą na skróceniu czasu pracy przy utrzymaniu stałych dochodów, analiza wpływu czasu pracy na zdrowie – przeprowadzona na przykładzie tego kraju – pozwoliła pokonać trudności przedstawiane w publikacjach z omawianego obszaru. Wykazano, że skrócenie czasu pracy pozytywnie wpłynęło na stan zdrowia Francuzów.

    The subject matter of the study is an analysis of the social consequences of increasing the retirement age of women up to 67 years. The discussion on the change in the retirement age is usually focused on its economic and financial aspects, hence a deeper scientific analysis is needed in relation to the social repercussions of this operation. The main subjects of the study are as follows: maintenance of equality tendencies in relation to the principles of social justice, changes in the social structure manifested especially on the labour market, social expectations as to employment security for those approaching retirement and development of flexible forms of working, development of incentives encouraging employers to keep current staff or hire new employees of older age, and changes in social roles.

    The reform of Social Retirement System is necessary. Without it, Polish insurance system would be more and more burdened. However, the demographics changes have led to serious consequences for the whole economy, because only a generational change ensures the inflow of new paradigms and new ways of thinking. Meanwhile, young Polish couples are postponing the decision of having a child, explaining that they are unable to fit their needs. An increasing number of employers propose them unpaid trainees or worthless contracts. They are considered noncompetitive and inexperienced so they express rather pessimistic opinions about the chances of finding and keeping a job. Poland needs coordinated action - of both: labor market policy and employment policy - to support fertility and protect the interests of women. The chances of access to the labor market for women should be equal to men. It means not only to be written into law, but translated into the sphere of economic activity and education.

    Przemiany ekonomiczne i społeczno-kulturowe generują na rynku pracy nowe wyzwania dla przedstawicieli wielu profesji, w tym dla nauczycieli. Poziom rozwoju gospodarczego, postęp technologiczny, stopa bezrobocia, sytuacja demograficzna czy modele życia społecznego odpowiadają za sposób myślenia człowieka o pracy, kreują warunki, w których przychodzi mu realizować swoje aspiracje zawodowe, co w dłuższej perspektywie czasowej ujawnia się w typach kariery. Jak wskazują studia literatury, jedne z największych zmian w dynamice i charakterze przebiegu zawodowych biografii obserwuje się w tych profesjach, których funkcjonowanie pozostaje w ścisłej zależności od zmian systemowych. W przypadku nauczycieli wynikają one przede wszystkim z rozporządzeń określających zasady ich awansu oraz z reform systemu edukacji. W rezultacie, z jednej strony przepisy szczegółowo regulują ścieżkę rozwoju zawodowego nauczycieli, a tym samym sprzyjają przyjmowaniu przez nich jednego sposobu realizacji kariery. Z drugiej strony reorganizacja sieci szkół, wdrażanie nowych planów i programów wynikających z reformy szkolnictwa wpływają na zmiany w zapotrzebowaniu na nauczycieli określonych przedmiotów szkolnych - w tym podstaw przedsiębiorczości - i wymuszają na nich konieczność przyjmowania różnorodnych strategii budowania kariery po to, aby utrzymać zatrudnienie. Celem autorki artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań literaturowych, dotyczących teorii konstruowania kariery oraz typów karier zawodowych nauczycieli, rozpatrywanych zarówno w ujęciu profesjonalizmu zawodowego, jak i w kontekście uwarunkowań edukacyjnego rynku pracy. Postawiony cel o charakterze przeglądowo-syntetycznym powoduje, że artykuł ma charakter teoretyczny, poddający dyskusji wyniki studiów literatury krajowej i zagranicznej na podjęty temat.
    Economic, social and cultural changes generate new challenges on the labour market for the representatives of many professions, including teachers. The economic development, technological advancement, unemployment rate, demographic situation and social life models correspond to an individual’s attitude towards work and create conditions in which they pursue their professional aspirations. In the long term, the situation is reflected by career paths. The literature review shows that the most significant changes in the dynamics and type of career paths are visible in those professions that are strongly correlated with systemic changes. In the case of teachers, they result primarily from legal regulations that define the conditions of promotion and reforms of an educational system. Consequently, on the one hand, the law specifically controls the professional career path of teachers and at the same time makes the career path model uniform for the entire profession. On the other hand, restructuring process in the school network, and implementation of new plans and curricula as a result of educational reforms have an impact on the demand for teachers of certain specialties, including teachers of entrepreneurship, compelling them to take on a variety of career paths necessary to keep their job. These processes are clearly worthy of academic analysis because the quality of teachers’ work, closely related to their career path, plays a fundamental role in developing social capital.The objective of the paper is to present the results of the literature review regarding career structure theories and teachers’ professional career paths analysed both through the prism of professionalism and the situation on the educational labour market. The synthetic nature of the study makes the paper a theoretical discussion which analyses the results of both the Polish and foreign literature review in the chosen area of study.
