    In the case of Latin America, governments are increasingly aware of the importance of innovation for economic development. Programs supporting innovation and stimulating linkages between business and science are becoming more and more frequent as a permanent feature of economic policy. For such a highly stratified societies, the removal of barriers in the redistribution of wealth and knowledge is a huge challenge, while in the meantime a key condition for starting development mechanisms. Brazil is an interesting example in this field. Social innovation is one of the key elements of governmental innovation policy. Many countries in Latin America are now using CCT programs as a major tool of their social policy since they have been proven to be very effective in helping poor families. The results of these efforts are likely to be visible in the next decade, but even today you may develop a far-reaching optimism in this regard.

    W pracy przeprowadzono kompleksową procedurę określenia optymalnych parametrów obróbki cieplnej żeliwa sferoidalnego z dodatkiem Ni, Cu, Mo i Mn poddanego hartowaniu z przemianą izotermiczną w celu uzyskania żeliwa ADI. Na podstawie skonstruowanych wykresów CTPc i CTPi wyznaczono podstawowe parametry obróbki – temperaturę i czas austenityzacji, krytyczną szybkość studzenia do temperatury przemiany izotermicznej oraz dla dowolnych, wybranych wartości temperatury ausferrytyzacji – czas ausferrytyzacji. Stwierdzono, że dla temperatury przemiany izotermicznej powyżej 400°C okno procesu jest zamknięte. Analiza wykresu CTPi stwarza możliwość doboru czasu przemiany izotermicznej w złożonych i cyklicznych wariantach obróbki cieplnej ADI.
    In the research, a complex procedure was performed to determine the optimal parameters of thermal treatment of ductile iron with Ni, Cu, Mo and Mn additions which underwent austempering in order to obtain the ADI cast iron. Based on the constructed CCT and TTT diagrams, the basic heat treatment parameters were determined, i.e. the austenitizing temperature and time, the critical rate of cooling down to the isothermal transformation temperature and – for the selected values of the austempering temperature – the austempering times. It was established that, for the isothermal transformation temperature above 400°C, the processing window is closed. The analysis of the TTT diagram makes it possible to select the time of the isothermal transformation in complex cyclic variants of the ADI thermal treatment.

    Ameryka Łacińska jest na dobrej drodze ku przejściu od systemu utrwalającego istniejące i przekazywane z pokolenia na pokolenie nierówności i przywileje dla wybranych grup społecznych do systemu wspierającego zrównoważony rozwój całego społeczeństwa. To właśnie w Ameryce Łacińskiej powstało wiele nowatorskich programów, których celem jest zmniejszenie nierówności społecznych, przerwanie kręgu biedy i przestępczości, pobudzenie przedsiębiorczości i kreatywności mieszkańców. Pogoń za nowoczesnością i innowacyjnością rozpoczęła się właśnie od zmian społecznych wpływających na zmianę świadomości tak zwykłych obywateli, jak i elit politycznych. Jednym z głównych narzędzi innowacyjności społecznej w Ameryce Łacińskiej są programy pomocy warunkowej (condi- tional cash transfers, CCT). W artykule autorka podjęła próbę ewaluacji tych programów.
    Latin America is on its way of transition from the system which strenghtens existing ine- qualities and privileges for selected social groups inherited from generation to generation, into the system supporting sustainable development of the whole society. Currently, the governments of Latin American countries, regardless of their political orientation, are becoming increasingly aware that without social and cultural change, sustainable econo- mic development cannot be ensured. It was in Latin America, a number of innovative programs aimed in reducing social inequalities, breaking the circle of poverty and crime, stimulating entrepreneurship and creativity of people were introduced. The pursuit of modernity and innovation began just from social changes affecting the change of conscio- usness of citizens as well as of political elites. One of the main tools of social innovation in Latin America are Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT). In the article the author attempts to evaluate these programs.

    Omówiono znaczenie wykresów CTPc i CTPi w procesach obróbki cieplnej żeliwa sferoidalnego, szczególnie przy wytwarzaniu żeliwa ADI. Dokonano przeglądu literatury dotyczącej zagadnienia. Badania własne obejmowały opracowanie wykresów CTP dla czterech rodzajów żeliwa sferoidalnego różniących się głównie zawartością dodatków niklu, miedzi i molibdenu, odpowiednio: 1,55% Ni i 0,73% Cu; 2,26% Ni i 1,44% Cu; 1,60% Ni i 0,69% Cu oraz 1,50% Ni i 0,45% Mo. Zamieszczono mikrostruktury produktów przemiany przechłodzonego austenitu z wybranych próbek wykorzystanych do budowy wykresu CTPc-4. Na podstawie analizy otrzymanych wykresów omówiono wpływ Ni, Cu i Mo na temperaturę i czas poszczególnych przemian fazowych żeliwa sferoidalnego podczas chłodzenia anizotermicznego i izotermicznego. Uzyskano właściwości żeliwa ADI z dodatkami 1,55% Ni i 0,73% Cu spełniające wymagania dla 4 gatunków wg normy EN-PN 1563.
    The presented paper is a description of the significance of CCT and TTT diagrams in the processes of heat treatment of ductile cast iron, and especially during the production of ADI. A review of literature in the subject was made. Own research included drawing up TTT diagrams for four types of ductile cast iron which mainly differed with respect to the content of nickel, copper and molybdenum additions, respectively: 1.55% Ni and 0.73% Cu; 2.26% Ni and 1.44% Cu; 1.60% Ni and 0.69% Cu, as well as 1.50% Ni and 0.45% Mo. Presented are microstructures of products of overcooled austenite transformations from the selected samples used for the construction of a CCT-4 diagram. On the basis of the analysis of the achieved diagrams, the influence of Ni, Cu and Mo on temperature and time of particular phase transformations in ductile cast iron during anisothermal and isothermal cooling is discussed. Properties of ADI with additions of 1.55% Ni and 0.73% Cu were determined which meet the requirements for four types pf cast iron according to the standard EN-PN 1563.
