Prezentowany tekst jest próbą oceny zachowań zdrowotnych uczniów uczęszczających do klas trzecich szkół podstawowych. Próbę badawczą stanowiła grupa 337 uczniów losowo dobranych. Materiał empiryczny zebrano w oparciu o metodę obserwacji. W toku badań obserwowano wszystkie czynności uczniów w szkole i poza nią w obszarach: higiena osobista i czystość otoczenia, bezpieczeństwo i pierwsza pomoc, odżywianie i zdrowa żywność, aktywność ruchowa, praca i wypoczynek, czas wolny, profilaktyka uzależnień. Analiza uzyskanych danych pozwala stwierdzić, że badani uczniowie kończący edukację wczesnoszkolną wykazali wysoki poziom obserwowanych zachowań zdrowotnych we wszystkich badanych obszarach.
The presented text attempts to assess the third-grade students health behavior. The sample comprised 337 randomly selected students. The empirical material was collected based on the method of observation. During the research all students’ activities in the school and beyond were observed in the areas of: personal hygiene and environmental cleanliness, safety and first aid, nutrition and healthy food, physical activity, work and leisure, free time, addictions prevention. Analysis of the obtained data brings to a conclusion that the surveyed students who were finishing early school education indicated a high level of the observed health behavior in all tested areas.

Różnorodność etniczna i kulturowa zajmuje wiele miejsca we współczesnym dyskursie publicznym. W Polsce problem wielokulturowości dotyczy przede wszystkim mniejszości etnicznych, które od pokoleń rozwijały własną tożsamość, utrzymując swoiste dziedzictwo kulturowe. Dotyczy to między innymi społeczności kaszubskiej. Kaszubi czują się w pełni Polakami, dlatego funkcjonują w sytuacji dwukulturowości i dwujęzyczności. W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań, których celem było poznanie wiedzy i umiejętności rekonstrukcji elementów folkloru przez dzieci na Kaszubach w obszarze muzyki, obrzędowości i języka kaszubskiego oraz poznanie opinii członków rodziny kaszubskiej i nauczycieli języka kaszubskiego na temat kaszubskiej działalności edukacyjnej. W postępowaniu badawczym wykorzystano test sprawdzający dla uczniów klas trzecich szkoły podstawowej, wywiad z nauczycielką języka kaszubskiego oraz wywiad z członkami rodziny kaszubskiej. W wyniku analizy zebranego materiału badawczego stwierdzono, że badani prezentują dobry poziom wiedzy w wyznaczonych zakresach. Najlepsze wyniki testu uzyskali uczniowie z obszaru obrzędowości. Wiele interesujących kwestii dotyczących folkloru kaszubskiego wniosły wywiady z rodziną kaszubską. Respondentki, dobrze znając kulturę i język kaszubski, uczyniły wiele elementów muzyki, obrzędowości i literatury nieodłącznym elementem życia codziennego. Wynika z tego, że rodziny kaszubskie stanowią ważne źródło zachowania kultury i jej trwania. Jest to istotny sygnał dla szkoły, aby w procesie edukacyjnym uczestniczyli rodzice w imię wspólnego działania na rzecz podtrzymywania tożsamości kulturowej i przekazywania wartości kultury kaszubskiej młodym pokoleniom. Ethnic and cultural diversity is one of the main issues in contemporary public discourse. In Poland the problem of multiculturalism relates primarily to ethnic minorities who have developed their own identity for generations, maintaining a specific cultural heritage. It concerns, among others, the Kashubian community. Kashubians identify themselves as fully Polish and therefore they function in a bicultural and bilingual reality. The article presents the results of research aimed at understanding the knowledge and skills of the folklore element of the reconstruction of identity by children in Kashubia in the field of music, observance and Kashubian language as well as learning about the opinions of Kashubian family members and Kashubian language teachers about Kashubian educational activities. The research procedure included a test for third grade students of primary school, an interview with a Kashubian language teacher and an interview with Kashubian family members. As a result of the collected research material and its analysis, it was established that the subjects present a good knowledge level in the specified domains. Students obtained the best results in the field of observance. Many interesting issues concerning the Kashubian folklore were brought up during the interviews with Kashubian families. The respondents, being well aware of the culture and the Kashubian language, made many elements of music, rituals and literature inseparable parts of everyday life. Therefore, the Kashubian families are an important source of culture preservation and its endurance. It is an important signal for schools to have parents participate in the educational process in the name of joint efforts to maintain the cultural identity and to convey the value of Kashubian culture to younger generations.

Background. Excursions in the kindergarten improve a comprehensive development of children as they create multi-sensory learning conditions, contribute to the development of interests and activities of social and cultural nature, are a source of physical activity, as well as emotional and aesthetic experience. They play a large part in preparing a child for the future role of a tourist, constituting its first contact with the forms of tourism and sightseeing. Material and methods. The aim of the research was to learn the opinion of kindergarten teachers and parents on the role of excursions in the development of preschool age children. The study concept was based on the method of a diagnostic survey. Results. For the majority of teachers excursion plays an important role in children’s cognitive development, forming their interests and care for health and physical fitness, shaping social, moral and patriotic behaviours. Parents give excursions mainly recreational importance. Conclusions. Both teachers and parents are aware of the significant impact of excursions on children’s development. However, there are units among the surveyed who consider touring a very difficult organizational form of activities for children and therefore they often change the opportunity of learning directly into forms of obtaining less significant, indirect knowledge. Teachers and parents should be encouraged to and provided with conditions allowing for frequent trips as a means of the full development of a child.

The decisive significance of the process of health promotion in school is to make students aware of the fact that health is a value that should be developed and strengthened as it is good in itself and it allows to obtain other values. The person who is best to assist a student in creating health potential is a competent, committed teacher with a rich personality. Teacher, as a guide to health education, introduces students to the aims of the actions for health and provides arguments which demonstrate the benefits of taking care of it. Moreover, a teacher prepares students to be capable of using the attained knowledge in the daily life and make decisions together with taking action to multiply their own health as well as others.
W procesie promowania zdrowia w szkole decydujące znaczenie ma uświadomienie uczniom tego, że zdrowie jest wartością, którą należy rozwijać i umacniać, gdyż jest ono dobrem samym w sobie oraz umożliwia uzyskiwanie innych wartości. Osobą, która w najlepszy sposób wspomoże ucznia w tworzeniu potencjału zdrowia, jest kompetentny, zaangażowany, o bogatej osobowości nauczyciel. Jako przewodnik po edukacji zdrowotnej, zapoznaje uczniów z celami działań na rzecz zdrowia i dostarcza argumentów, które świadczą o korzyściach płynących z dbania o nie. Przygotowuje uczniów do tego, aby potrafili wykorzystywać zdobytą wiedzę w codziennym życiu oraz dokonywali wyborów i podejmowali decyzje i działania na rzecz pomnażania zdrowia własnego i innych.

Opis:
This article is about a task which required learners to reformulate a story which they had listened to in writing. In the context of foreign language learning, the original text provides a discourse model, whereas the way it is rephrased reflects students’ skill to use the new information in their own words. Retelling can also be treated as language practice focused on learning and practising new vocabulary and sentence structures. The research concentrated on fragments of text that were an extension of the original text that was retold by an elementary group of students of French philology (A2 level according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, 2003) in Polish and French (the foreign language). Comparison of speech produced in the two languages made it possible to consider the nature and function of the learners’ discourse competence which, depending on the students’ personal goals and communicative experience, differed in the two cases. The data collected can serve as a starting point for planning further steps to develop students’ metadiscoursal awareness with the use of the retelling of a story as a learning strategy.

The subject of this article is the use of reformulation, the instrument of language acquisition research, in studies on language teaching and learning. Incorporating reformulation into the methodological repertoire of language education research requires a clear definition of differences in the subject-matter and in objectives of research between the two disciplines, in order to clearly capture the potential and limitations of this tool. This article will consider the innovative potential of reformulation at both the research level and the didactic level, at various stages of development of communicative competencies in a foreign language.
