    Opis:
    In power systems commonly appear various disturbances such as voltage unbalance, voltage deviations, frequency deviations (in autonomous power systems) and voltage waveform distortions. Voltage waveform distortions are usually associated with presence of higher harmonics. Also, in some power systems are appeared voltage components, which have frequency components higher than the fundamental frequency and are not an integer multiple of the fundamental one - called interharmonics. Sometimes interharmonics occur together with subharmonics, i.e. voltage components with frequency less than the fundamental one. Both interharmonics and subharmonics are the most seldom investigated power quality disturbances, and their impact on an induction machine is still not satisfactorily explained. This paper is devoted to the effect interharmonic and subharmonic voltage components on currents in windings of an induction machine. The results of experimental investigations are presented for two low-power induction cage machines.

    Opis:
    One of most important energy receivers is an induction cage machine. It can work properly provided that it is supplied with balanced, sinusoidal voltage of appropriate frequency and rms value. Presence of any power quality disturbances leads to additional power losses and to an increase in windings temperature. Higher temperature of windings means faster aging of insulation system. Consequently, power disturbances may cause premature destruction of a machine. One of power quality disturbances that may result in machine overheating, are subharmonics. Their thermal impact on an induction cage machine was usually investigated with simulation method that has been not verified in the previous works. In this paper results of thermal calculations were compared with results of measurements. It was pointed out that the method used in previous works for calculations of thermal impact of subharmonics, causes underestimation of windings temperature.

    This paper deals with influence of voltage interharmonics on currents in an induction cage machine. The results of investigations are presented for 5,5 kW four-pole induction cage machine under supply with voltage containing positive-sequence and negative sequence interharmonic injections of various frequencies. The phenomena that have been known from computer simulations only, are confirmed by experimental method. It is proved in this paper that positive-sequence voltage interharmonics have result in current subharmonics flowing in machine windings. The significant dependency between the frequency of voltage interharmonics and the amplitude of current subharmonics, which has been known so far from theoretical calculations, is confirmed experimentally as well.

    W pracy dokonano oceny ilości formaldehydu i N-nitrozodimetyloaminy powstających w reakcji dwutlenku chloru z wodnym roztworem dimetyloaminy. Zbadano również wpływ potencjalnych produktów utlenienia dimetyloaminy na potencjał tworzenia N-nitrozodimetyloaminy podczas procesu utleniania dwutlenkiem chloru. Wykazano, że di-metyloamina jest prekursorem co najmniej dwóch ubocznych produktów utleniania (formaldehyd i N-nitrozodimetyloamina), których zawartość jest regulowana w wodzie przeznaczonej do spożycia przez ludzi. Zestawienie konwersji molowych dimetyloaminy do formaldehydu i N-nitrozodimetyloaminy z ich wartościami dopuszczalnymi w wodzie wskazuje, że N-nitrozodimetyloamina jest znacznie groźniejszym ubocznym produktem reakcji dwutlenku chloru z dimetyloaminą. Stwierdzona obecność dimetyloaminy w wodzie z Warty (5÷6 mg/m3) wskazuje na potencjalne niebezpieczeństwo powstawania formaldehydu i N-nitrozodimetyloaminy podczas stosowania w technologii oczyszczania wody silnych utleniaczy, takich jak dwutlenek chloru. Należy podkreślić, że procesy oczyszczania wody mogą wpływać na zawartość dimetyloaminy, a tym samym zwiększać bądź zmniejszać ryzyko tworzenia się obu produktów ubocznych utleniania.
    The quantities of formaldehyde (FA) and N-nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) generated in the reaction of chlorine dioxide with the aqueous solution of dimethylamine (DMA) were assessed. Consideration was also given to the problem of how the DMA oxidation products may affect the potential of NDMA formation in the course of the chlorine dioxide oxidation process. It has been demonstrated that DMA is a precursor to at least two oxidation by-products (FA and NDMA), whose concentrations in the water intended for human consumption are subject to regulations. The comparison of molar conversions of DMA to FA and NDMA with their permissible values for water shows that of the two by-products NDMA is far more hazardous. The presence of DMA detected in the Warta river water (5 to 6 mg/m3) suggests potential risk that FA and NDMA will form when the treatment train involves strong oxidizers such as chlorine dioxide. It is essential to note that the treatment process applied impacts on the DMA content of the water, and thus increases or reduces the risk of generating both the oxidation by-products.
