- Opis:
- The aim of this paper is to indicate directions of changes in modern families along with their consequences for functioning of the family system and, most importantly, to address difficulties in parental cooperation. Theoretical analysis is preceded by a review of existing, mostly international, research in this field. Three categories of family situations, in which problems and conflicts among parents may arise, are analyzed: divorce and separation, reconstructed families, and families where both spouses work what may trigger work- family type of conflicts. Difficulties in family functioning and playing parental roles, effects of unconstructively resolved conflicts among parents are considered in detail. These three categories of family situations have been selected for investigation because they are often connected with problems in parental cooperation.
