    Opis:
    Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje próbę refleksji nad językiem i jego opisem na lekcji języka obcego oraz wskazania potencjalnych źródeł niezgodności w językoznawczym i dydaktycznym opisie języka. Na początku zarysowano współczesną koncepcję związku pomiędzy obiema dyscyplinami, która jest kluczowa dla uchwycenia i zrozumienia źródeł odmienności w postrzeganiu i opisie języka jako wspólnego przedmiotu badań. Następnie przedstawiono dyskusję na temat źródeł różnic w opisie języka obu nauk: językoznawstwa i glottodydaktyki, wskazując przy tym na perspektywy rozwoju glottodydaktyki jako nauki.
    The paper attempts to provide some reflections on language and its description in a foreign language lesson, and to examine potential sources of the discrepancies existing in linguistic and didactic approaches to language description. Firstly, the contemporary conception of the relationship between the two disciplines has been outlined, which is crucial for grasping and understanding the sources of these differences in perceiving and describing language as a common object of the research. Then, a discussion concerning the sources of differencesin the language description between linguistics and didactics is presented, including the perspectives of the development of didactics as a science.

    How much spoken language does a man need? Reflections about didactics of spoken language in philologics and language teachingThis paper deals with the need of establishing a prioritization of spoken language in foreign language teaching. It particularly concentrates on the tasks and challenges which it presents to philology. Due to the fact that this aspect has not been studied thoroughly yet it is argued that the spoken language should get its proper consideration especially nowadays. Based on wide scientific literature this paper also attempts to canvass the problems of teaching spoken language to foreign language learners.

    Innovation in addition to rationalization, optimization and professionalization contributes to the cognitive interest of many scientific disciplines, where research is carried out for the use of specific areas of practical activities. Of particular interest in the context of glottodidactics is both its theoretical (scientific research) and practical (implementation) dimension, implying the proposal of practical applications in specific educational contexts. This article is a trial undertaking to consider the problem of innovation using the incorporation and adaptation of the latest findings and results of language research in glottodidactics as an example. Considerations are made using examples from German linguistics and German as a foreign language didactics and constitute a contribution to the discussion of the identity and autonomy of glottodidactics as a science.

    The paper deals with establishing the need to prioritize category of politeness in foreign language teaching and particularly concentrates on the tasks and challenges it presents to philology. Considerations on philological language competence constitute background for claiming postulates referring to didactics and integration of language politeness in philological education. These postulates implying concepts of intercultural communication and language awareness should contribute to further discussions on nature of foreign language teaching at philological studies.

    This study presents a research project aiming at capturing and describing internal diversity and multi-variant nature of contemporary German in the light of demands of teaching German as a foreign language at universities in language degrees (German studies, applied linguistics, languages in business), where German is the first or second leading foreign language. The paper outlines the specific research questions and aims, the state of research in this area so far, the research design together with the associated research risks, and the research methods.
