Opis:
The baptism, the confirmation and the Eucharist are three christian initiation sacraments. The sacraments were instituted by Christ the Lord and entrusted to the Church. As actions of Christ and of the Church, they are signs and means by which faith is expressed and strengthened, worship is offered to God and our sanctification is brought about. Thus they contribute in the most effective manner to establishing, strengthening and manifesting ecclesiastical communion. The sacraments of christian initiation also to establishing, strengthening and manifesting family communion. This science article shows how the sacramental canon law inspired spouses to build a communio familiaris.

At the beginning of 2020 year in the world the virus outbreak began. An epidemic emergency has been introduced in Poland. The best method to stop epidemic is to reduce people-to-people contacts. Such actions create problems for the administration of the sacraments. This article is about celebration of the sacraments penance and anointing of the sick according to canon law, during the danger of an ongoing epidemic.

Celem niniejszej publikacji jest ukazanie chrzestnych od strony prawa kanonicznego, a także zastanowienie się nad problemem czy ich wybór jest wciąż konieczny i rzeczywiście potrzebny, w pierwszej połowie XXI wieku. Na początku znajduje się krótki rys historyczny, zawierający rozwój interesującej nas instytucji w Kościele. Dalej zostanie omówiona kwestia powoływania chrzestnego, aby na końcu zająć się kwalifikacjami, wymaganymi przez normy kanoniczne od osób mających pełnić tę funkcję.
In so far as possible, a person being baptised is to be assigned a sponsor. His role is very important. In the case of an adult baptism, the sponsor assists the person in christian initiation. In the case of an infant, the role is together with the parents or parent to present the child for baptism, and to help it to live a christian life befitting the baptised and faithfully to fulfil the duties inherent in baptism. This article is about sponsor’s appointing and role according to Canon Law. The first part shows the history of this problem. The next part of article is about appointing of sponsors, last part is about role of sponsors. Author of article puts forward a  thesis, to order in case baptism of some children not appoint sponsors, and all his role to convey parents.

The faith and the baptism are inseparable. In the beginning of history of the church the baptism was taking adult people. They has the faith before this sacrament.  The children was baptizing together with his parents. Today in many countries candidates to baptism are children, to young, to have mature faith. They take sacrament on the faith of their father, mother, sponsors and Church. The article consists of three parts. First is about historical aspect of the problem. The next shows theological conception of the faith.  The last part is about faith of adult people who takes the sacrament of baptism, and parents and sponsors of children who takes the baptism, based on canon and liturgical law.

In the year 2015 pope Francis issued Apostolic exhortation Amoris la-etitia. This document raises among other things the problem admission to sacraments penance and holy communion divorced persons. The first part of this article concerns scientific discussion about sacraments for divorced persons before 2014 year. Next part is about receiving the Body of the Lord according to the Familiaris consortio i Amoris laetitia. On the third part are canonists and theologian interpretations of the popes Francis exhortation. Last part of article is about application of this document to local conditions in the word.

The year 2002 witnessed the publication of the third, slightly altered, edition of the post-conciliar Roman Missal. The tome contains modified General Introduction that lays down legal norms regarding the celebration of the Eucharist. Some of them award conferences of bishops unique powers in terms of possibilities of adjusting liturgy to the conditions prevailing in the areas under their governance. The article first presents earlier powers that were given to conferences by the Second Vatican Council as well as those granted by the post-conciliar legislation. It also discusses the new acts, modified in 2002. These include: the possibility of having liturgical texts translated into national languages, a concern for sacral music, determination of certain elements in the celebration of the Holy Mass, such as an appropriate posture, liturgical gestures, manners and circumstances under which the congregation may receive Holy Communion under the species of Bread and Wine, objects that constitute the altar table, and liturgical vessels and robes. The article presents procedures that are required by the Holy See if bishops' conferences are to introduce major changes in liturgy. All local churches must form unity with the Universal Church, not only in regard to professed faith, but also in terms of commonly accepted liturgical customs, not infrequently going back to the apostolic tradition. The unity of liturgy in the Church prevents various misunderstandings and errors, thus contributing to the promotion of unwavering faith.

The article shows problems connected with celebrating the Eucharist by a priest for a second and a third time in the course of one day in the light of canon and liturgy regulations. After sketching briefly the preliminaries in the introduction, a historical outline of the issue is presented. In the Latin Church until the Vatican Council II such a situation was in principle inadmissible. In ancient times the presbyters celebrating together with their bishop said the Mass only once a day. In the Middle Ages concelebration was not usually practiced. The possibility of bination and trination has appeared only after the Vatican Council II. The next two parts of the article discuss the regulations of canon law in force now that are connected with the possibility of bining and then trining during concelebration. According to the norms that are in force at present the local ordinaries may give permission for bination (excluding concelebration). Bining connected with mutual celebrating the Mass is provided for in situations defined by the new General Introduction to the Roman Missal. It is similar in the case of trination and concelebration. The local ordinaries permit trination without the right to mutually celebrate one of the three Masses. The priest who exercises such a right may not concelebrate a Mass on the same day. Trination along with concelebration are admissible only by norms contained in the introduction to the missal. In the next item the article presents the ways of concelebrating the Eucharist properly in the light of liturgy regulations, stressing the most often encountered irregularities. Celebrating the liturgy together priests have to remember that the words they say in the Eucharistic prayer are to be uttered aloud only by the main celebrant. The remaining celebrants say them quietly. During the consecration they should reach their hands in a gesture pointing to Christ's Body and Blood. The next parts of the article show the necessity to keep to the canon and liturgical law by concelebrants and the need of the priests' deeper care of celebrating the Mass decently. Ignoring the canon-liturgical regulations when celebrating the Eucharist means committing a seriously base act. This kind of abuses cause, among others, obscuring the faith and the Church's teaching. Holy Masses may not be multiplied against the rules of the law, e.g. in order to put on an impressive show.

Jesus Christ constituted the sacrament of Eucharist during last supper. This article shows what it is the matter and the form of this sacrament. It quotes the bibical texts from the New Testament and the writings of the Fathers of the Church. It analyses the law of Holy See: the Popes, the Councils, and the Vatican Congregations. At the beginning the article shows the matter which is necessary to consecration of the bread, and to consecration of the wine. This bread and this wine will becoming later the Blood and the Body of Jesus Christ. The next part of this article is about the form conforming to Eucharist. The last part of this elaboration shows, what influence have the different defects of the matter and the form, relating on validity of consecration of Eucharist.

In the beginning of the Church the confirmation was one – same ceremony with the baptism and the Eucharist. It was the rite of come in the Church. Sometimes the confirmation was received whole families, with their children. In the middle century in the Roman Catholic Church those sacrament was giving to the children in “perfectae aetatis” who was 7 year old. In the XX century in Poland the age of confirmation was near 10 year old. After II Vatican Council the Episcopal Conference has decided on a different age. In Poland those age is 15-16 year old. But some of bishops would like to change this age to higher, because (like some people think) a young people must to be more maturity to received the confirmation. Now some of youth after the confirmation finish their religions education in the school, and leave the Church. Author of article think, that they need the grace of sacrament of confirmation in the age more early (before attain age of manhood and womanhood), to help them to keep their faith.

Before 25 years pope John Paul II was promulgating the new Code of Canon Low. The Code gives many prerogatives to Episcopal Conferences. One of prerogative is in canon 230 paragraph 1: “lay men whose age and talents meet the requirements prescribed by decree of the Episcopal Conference, can be given the stable ministry of lector and of acolyte, through the prescribed liturgical rite”. “Episcopate of Poland Instruction about to give a lay man the ministry of lector and acolyte”, passed 2 of September 2007. This Instruction introduced in Poland stable ministry of lector and acolyte. This document defines accurately qualities of candidates to ministry. Instruction decides that they must to receive formation and enumerates tasks of lectors and acolytes during celebration of the Holy Mass and another sacraments. Diocesan bishop can forbid lector and acolyte to perform his ministry. Instruction Episcopate of Poland gives information about such examples.
