    Opis:
    The article describes green areas with which the towns of the administrative province of Lodz are equipped. It covers a time horizon of 1975—1980. The comparative analysis performed by the author encompassed both the types and spatial structure of green areas in particular urban units. The green areas available in the town of Lodz are analyzed separately with allowances made for disproportions between particular residential districts. Finally, there are briefly outlined these problems which should receive more attention from the local authorities.

    Ihe article aims at shedding some light on problems of management and organization of the local economy in the CSSR. A special attention has been paid to the system of people’s councils and to an internal organization of representative and executive organs due to differences existing here between Czechoslovakia and Poland. An amendment to the Law about the people’s councils was introduced in Czechoslovakia in 1982. Its main goal was to strengthen the position of the people’s councils of the basic level, The article tries to outline more important newly-obtained rights of the councils, and primarily those in relation to organizations managed by the people’s councils of higher levels and the Central organs. There are also briefly presented main changes occurring in the local policy concerning problems of the local economy controlled by the people’s councils of the basic level. The siZe of the present article allows only for a brief presentation of these problems and, thus, the article does not exhaust the whole subject.

    Introduction. Stress is one of the important factors affecting the voice organ. Aim. The aim of the study was to estimate and compare the level of stress and voice handicap in patients with dysphonia and healthy subjects, as well as to assess the relationship between stress and the Voice Handicap Index (VHI). Material and methods. The study comprised 60 subjects – 35 patients with dysphonia (study group) and 25 healthy individuals (control group), with age range: 22-78 years. Patients with dysphonia were treated in the Phoniatric Outpatient Clinic, the Medical University of Warsaw. The study was conducted in 2017. The exclusion criterion was age below 18 and over 80 years. All participants completed two questionnaires: the Stress Sensation Questionnaire (KPS) and the Voice Handicap Index (VHI). Results. Patients with dysphonia and healthy individuals showed a low level of stress. The VHI was significantly higher in patients with dysphonia (p=0.000). A statistically significant correlation was found between the KPS and the VHI (p<0.005). Patients with dysphonia received statistically significantly higher scores on KPS Lumbar Subscale as compared to healthy subjects (p=0.008). Female patients with dysphonia more often than healthy people presented a higher need for social approval. Conclusions. Higher voice handicap (in particular regarding self assessment of physical and emotional voice handicap) correlates with a higher sense of stress. This relation requires further research.
    Wprowadzenie. Jednym z istotnych czynników wpływających na wydolność narządu głosowego jest stres. Cel pracy. Zbadanie oraz porównanie poziomu poczucia stresu i niepełnosprawności głosu u pacjentów z dysfonią i osób zdrowych, a także sprawdzenie występowania związku między poczuciem stresu, a samooceną niepełnosprawności głosu. Materiał i metody. Badaniem objęto 60 osób, w tym 35 pacjentów z dysfonią (grupa badana) i 25 osób bez dysfonii (grupa kontrolna) w wieku 22-78 lat. Kryterium wyłączenia był wiek poniżej 18 i powyżej 80 lat. W badaniu wykorzystano dwa narzędzia – Kwestionariusz Poczucia Stresu (KPS) oraz Skalę Samooceny Niepełnosprawności Głosu (VHI). Wyniki. Pacjenci z dysfonią i osoby zdrowe wykazywały poczucie stresu na poziomie niskim. Niepełnosprawność głosu była istotnie statystycznie wyższa u pacjentów z dysfonią (p=0,000) w porównaniu z grupą osób z grupy kontrolnej. Ponadto wykazano istotną statystycznie korelację między poczuciem stresu a niepełnosprawnością głosu (p<0,005). W grupie badanej pacjentów z dysfonią wykazano istotnie statystycznie wyższe wyniki na Skali Kłamstwa w KPS w porównaniu z grupą kontrolną (p=0,008). Pacjentki z dysfonią częściej niż osoby z grupy kontrolnej prezentowały wyższą potrzebę aprobaty społecznej. Wnioski. Wyższa niepełnosprawność głosu (w szczególności dotycząca samooceny niepełnosprawności stanu fizycznego i emocjonalnego głosu) koreluje z wyższym poczuciem stresu. Zależność ta wymaga dalszych badań.
