    Opis:
    The paper is a case study of a disabled student (cerebral palsy). The in-formation about the student was obtained from the interviews with him as well as his parents and teachers, school documents and a narration study which involved three psychologists. The main research questions focused on the difficulties which disabled students come across during their education. The research also addressed such issues as the role of the surroundings in the education of the disabled as well as the reasons be-hind the choice of philological studies by a disabled person.

    Opis:
    The present paper focuses on one of the theories supporting affect in foreign language learning, namely the theory of autobiographical memory. In contrast to mother tongue use, interaction during a foreign language lesson is a one-dimension-phenomenon taking place „here and now” that does not register in the personal history of the learner. Activation of the autobiographical memory could overcome these limitations. After the presentation of the characteristics of autobiographical memory, such as the emotional index and its relation to the time and place of the situation, the ways of activating it during foreign language lessons will be described.

    Opis:
    This article presents the results of a test which examined the understanding of grammar by preschool and early school-age children who learn German by immersion. The results were statistically analyzed. Thanks to such parameters as the range, standard deviation and variation coefficient, it has been established that the examined groups of children are heterogeneous, which led to the conclusion that the process of foreign language learning by young children is of individualized character.

    This paper attempts to describe the competences of the preschool teacher. Focus is placed on communicative competences both in the pedagogical dimension, as well as in the in L2. The next point of the paper is to address the following question: how are foreign language teacher trainees prepared for work as L2-teachers in immersive preschools? The conclusions are made on the basis of a 150-hour observation which was conducted in an immersive Polish-German preschool in Poznań.

    Opis:
    The paper presents a report on the implementation of the educational project Teaching the neighbours’ language from kindergarten to the end of education - the key to communication in the Euroregion Pomerania co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg VA Cooperation Program Mecklenburg-Vorpommern/Brandenburg/Poland. 24 educational institutions in Poland and 33 educational institutions in Germany took part in the project. 3,771 children and 821 teachers and kindergarten educators participated in project events. The number of lessons conducted during the project was over 30,000. In addition to school education, the project covered numerous meetings of Polish and German children and youth, workshops for teachers, educational forums for parents and others. The project developed curricula for German as a language of the neighbours at all educational stages and in all types of Polish schools, as well as numerous multimedia teaching materials, such as educational games, worksheets, educational films, etc. This paper describes the project, its theoretical and practical foundations and its results.
