The aim of this study was to characterize the knowledge about the joy in children with mild intellectual disability. The premises relating to the mental functioning of these children suggest that this knowledge is poorer and less complex than the knowledge of their peers in the intellectual norm. The study used the authoring tool to measure children’s knowledge of emotions, including joy. The tool takes into account the cognitive representation of the basic emotions available in three codes: image, verbal, semantic and interconnection between the codes – perception, symbolization and conceptualization, which perform the functions of perception, expression and understanding. The study included children with the intellectual norm (N = 30) and children with mild intellectual disability (N = 30). The results mainly indicate the differences in how happiness is understood by particular groups, to the detriment of children with disability. The character of the results is largely determined by the level of organization of knowledge about joy and accompanying mental operations.

Inwestowanie w dobra i usługi związane z kształceniem mogą przynieść wymierne efekty społeczne. W artykule skupiono się na analizie cech determinujących wydatki na rozwój intelektualny członków rodziny w wiejskich gospodarstwach domowych oraz dokonano porównania poziomu wydatków na kształcenie w zależności od miejsca lokalizacji, tj. uwzględniono gospodarstwa domowe zlokalizowane w największych miastach oraz gospodarstwa domowe zlokalizowane na wsiach. Wydaje się, że mimo licznych przeobrażeń polskiej wsi nadal utrzymują się znaczne różnice w modelach konsumpcji, także w odniesieniu do wydatków na kształcenie, między gospodarstwami domowymi z miast i ze wsi.
The article focuses on the analysis of the characteristics that determine spending on education in rural households, and compared the level of expenditure on education depending on where location. Includes households located in the largest cities and villages. Despite the many transformations of the Polish countryside there are still significant differences in spending on education between households of the cities and the countryside.

In summary, it should be stated that in the period 1992-2017, dozens of priests with at least a doctoral degree were engaged in scientific and writing work in the entire of Ełk clergy. The work of the Ełk priests concerned mainly issues related to the history of the Church, canon law, philosophy, theology, Catholic social science and patrology. However, it is significant that priests who work on a daily basis in pastoral work can also be proud of the significant achievements in these areas, treating this activity as the implementation of their own research passion and fondness.

Artykuł podejmuje dyskusję wokół endogenicznych uwarunkowań rozwoju polskiej gospo-darki związanych z kapitałem intelektualnym. Jego celem jest poszukiwanie odpowiedzi na nastę-pujące pytania: Jakie są rzeczywiste zasoby kapitału intelektualnego w Polsce w porównaniu do innych krajów? Jakie tendencje charakteryzowały rozwój tego kapitału w polskiej gospodarce po 1995 roku? Jakie szanse i zagrożenia mogą towarzyszyć modernizacji polskiej gospodarki ukie-runkowanej na kapitał intelektualny? Podstawą analiz i przedstawionych wniosków są wyniki pomiaru kapitału intelektualnego w 48 krajach w latach 1995–2010, dokonanego przez L. Edvins-sona oraz C. Yeh-Yun Lin. Zebrane dane statystyczne wskazują na znaczny dystans, który dzieli polską gospodarkę od wyżej rozwiniętych krajów we wszystkich wymiarach kapitału intelektualnego. Największą lukę Polska notuje w zakresie kapitału relacji (rynkowego) oraz kapitału rozwoju, relatywnie najmniej-szą – w obszarze kapitału ludzkiego. Pod tym względem polska gospodarka wpisuje się w charak-terystyki właściwe dla krajów Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Analizy w ujęciu dynamicznym wskazują ponadto, że w latach 1995–2010 Polska (podobnie jak Czechy oraz kraje południowo- -wschodniej Azji) należała do gospodarek, w których zmiany w zakresie kapitału intelektualnego następowały relatywnie najbardziej dynamicznie. Pogłębione obserwacje wykazują jednak, że rozwój kapitału intelektualnego w polskiej gospodarce podlegał sporym wahaniom, co przełożyło się na niezadowalające tempo zmian w stosunku do zapóźnień gospodarki i jedynie nieznaczny awans na międzynarodowej mapie kapitału intelektualnego. Dodatkowe obawy budzi nierówno-mierny rozwój w kluczowych obszarach kapitału intelektualnego, zwłaszcza rosnący dysonans między kapitałem ludzkim oraz kapitałem rozwoju, a także kapitałem ludzkim a kapitałem spo-łecznym. Pozytywnie zaś należy ocenić podejmowane wysiłki w kierunku stworzenia w polskiej gospodarce systemowych ram do podejmowania inwestycji w ten kapitał w latach 2014–2030.
The article discusses the determinants of endogenous development of the Polish economy re-lated to the intellectual capital. Its goal is to seek answers for the following questions: what are the real resources of intellectual capital in Poland in comparison with other countries? What trends characterized the development of that capital in the Polish economy after 1995? What opportuni-ties and threats may be triggered by modernization of the Polish economy focused on intellectual capital? The basis of the analyses and conclusions are measurements of intellectual capital in 48 countries between 1995 and 2010, made by L. Edvinsson and C. Yeh-Yun Lin. Collected data indicate a considerable distance between Poland and more developed countries in all aspects of intellectual capital. The biggest underdevelopment was noted in the field of mar-ket capital and renewal capital, the relatively smallest – in the area of human capital. In this regard Polish economy fits into the typical characteristics of Central and Eastern European countries. The dynamic analysis for years 1995–2010 also indicates that in Poland (like in the Czech Republic and in the countries of south-east Asia) the changes in the field of intellectual capital were relative-ly the most dynamic. In-depth observations show, however, that the development of intellectual capital in the Polish economy was subject to considerable fluctuations, which resulted in an unsat-isfactory pace of change in the face of catching-up needs and only a slight rise on the international map of intellectual capital. Additional concern raises the uneven development in the key areas of intellectual capital, especially the growing difference between human capital and renewal capital as well as between human capital and social capital. Though, the efforts towards the creation of systemic framework for investments in the intellectual (human) capital in Poland in the years 2014–2030 should be assessed positively.

For proper development and functioning, every human being needs a point of reference, which, in combination with experience, will be the model of his or her path of life. These points are laid out by people who occupy important places at different stages of life. In relationships with them, a person learns the truth about himself, grows up, learns respect, tolerance, and develops empathy. The characteristics of intellectual disability point out that it contributes to the occurrence of certain difficulties in the social functioning of the individual. Therefore, we have focused on the group of people with intellectual disabilities, because we want to know the possibilities of supporting the normalization process of their lives.

In the period 1992-2017, dozens of priests with at least a doctoral degree were involved in the scientific work in the entire Ełk clergy. Most of the priests graduating from specialist studies obtained the title of doctor of theology. They represent the following specializations: biblical theology (7 priests), pastoral theology (4), liturgy (3), dogmatic theology (3), catechetics (2), patrology (2). Other areas include canon law (7), history (4), and philosophy (2). There were also three academic periodicals created by Ełk priests, i.e. “Studia Ełckie”, “Civitas et Lex” and “Studia Gilsoniana”. Through their activity, these priests managed to create solid scientific journals, recognizable today not only in Poland, but also abroad.

Artykuł traktuje o systemach szkoleń pracowników, jako o sposobie poprawy oraz wzrostu wartości kapitału intelektualnego przedsiębiorstwa górniczego opartego o kapitał ludzki. W opracowaniu przedstawiono wnioski z przeprowadzonego badania ankietowego dotyczącego istniejących w przedsiębiorstwach górniczych systemów szkoleń, ich rzeczywistego przebiegu oraz oczekiwań pracowników. W badaniu wskazane zostały obszary, które są dla pracowników najważniejsze takie jak bezpieczeństwo pracy oraz sposoby i techniki wykonywania pracy.
The article presents the employee training systems as a method of improving and increasing the intellectual capital of a mining company based on said intellectual capital. The research lists the conclusions from the survey analyzing training systems existing in the mining companies, the way they are actually executed, as well as employees expectations. The analysis indicates the key areas which are the most important to the employees, such as work safety and work methods & techniques.

W artykule poruszono problematykę nowelizacji trendów kreowania wartości współczesnych przedsiębiorstw. Próbowano opracować kompleksową metodykę pomiaru efektów kreacji wartości przedsiębiorstwa, spowodowanych rozwojem kapitału intelektualnego. Wyszczególniono kryteria, mierniki oraz formuły do obliczania wskaźników. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na uzasadnienie celowości wyodrębnienia oraz niezbędności obliczania motywatorów intelektualnych w procesach kreacji wartości przedsiębiorstw.
The paper discusses issues concerned with the renewal of the trends of value creation that take places place in modern enterprises. The attempts were undertaken to devise a complex methodology that can be use when measuring the effects of value creation of enterprises triggered by the development of intellectual capital. Criteria, indicators as well as formulas were showed. The special attention was paid to justify both purposefulness and indispensability of assessing the intellectual stimulators that play a role in processes of value creation in enterprises.

Artykuł przedstawia analizę roli kapitału intelektualnego w polskim agrobiznesie. Autor skonstruował model kapitału intelektualnego, który zakłada, iż na sumę zasobów niematerialnych gospodarki wpływają: kapitał ludzki, kapitał innowacyjny, kapitał instytucjonalny oraz kapitał społeczny. Następnie opisał poszczególne składowe modelu w polskiej gospodarce żywnościowej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem przemian systemowych w ostatnich latach. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych analiz można wyciągnąć wniosek, iż jakość kapitału intelektualnego polskiego agrobiznesu jest niska, a inwestycje w tym obszarze niedostateczne. Przedsiębiorstwa w swych strategiach rozwojowych koncentrują się głównie na zasobach materialnych i zwiększaniu przychodów ze sprzedaży. Brakuje także spójnego programu wsparcia kapitału intelektualnego w polityce gospodarczej szczebla rządowego. Tymczasem wzrost jakości kapitału intelektualnego jest warunkiem poprawy konkurencyjności całego polskiego agrobiznesu, szczególnie w sytuacji globalnego rynku produktów żywnościowych.
The paper presents the analysis of the intellectual capital role in Polish agribusiness. Author developed the model of intellectual capital which is based on the foundation that non-material components of the economy are divided into: human capital, innovative capital, institutional capital and social capital. Afterwards there is a description of these particular elements in the Polish agribusiness with special consideration of last years system transitions. On the base of carried out researches one can presume that quality of intellectual capital of Polish agribusiness is low and the investments in the area are not-satisfied. The companies in their strategies mainly focus on the material capital elements and on the increase of sale incomes. There is a lack of the integrated program of intellectual capital support in the economic policy of Polish government. But the increase of intellectual capital is the condition of competitiveness improvement of the whole Polish agribusiness, especially in the context of globalization of the food market.

St. Urszula Ledóchowska- the founder of the Ursulines Sisters of the Order of Dying Heart of Jesus (Sióstr Urszulanek Serca Jezusa Konającego) – whose personality is usually discribed by the formula – Polish and European – lived and worked in difficult times in the first half of the twentieth century. Above all, she was the mistress of the spiritual life. In her attitude towards the the world and people, she was able to perfectly combine contemplation and activity. In the center of her spirituality, she has placed the mystery of Jesus Crucified – The Dying Heart and His Mother. A strong faith in God, putting trust in Him, should – according to her beliefs – shape human life that should be giving constant witness to the Risen Christ. At the same time the Saint was a person deeply involved in the problems of everyday life. Since her entrance to the Ursulines (Urszulanki) in Kraków, St. Urszula Ledóchowska gave great importance of girls education. During her stays in Russia, Sweden, Denmark, and then after returning to the free Poland, to Pniewy; she established schools with a modern program of education, where intellectual development was closely connected with the development of spiritual and religious. The school was supposed to be a community shaped like a ‘small church’ and its purpose was to teach and educate. St. Urszula Ledóchowska demanded from the teachers not only education and good manners, but primarily tolerance and ‘cheerfulness’ that comes from the certainty of faith in God. Therefore, her life was ‘a rosary embodied in an act’ and the act were Faith, Hope and Love.

Mimo obserwowanego w latach 2003–2009 wzrostu poziomu tego kapitału tak w całym kraju, jak i w poszczególnych regionach obawy budzi zbyt wolna (w stosunku do potrzeb) dynamika tych przekształceń w Polsce Wschodniej. Istotną barierę akumulacji, jak i spożytkowania nagromadzonego kapitału intelektualnego w Polsce Wschodniej stanowią niekorzystne relacje makroekonomiczne, charakteryzujące sferę realną gospodarek tych województw. Luka w zakresie kapitału intelektualnego nakłada się na tradycyjne linie podziału polskiej przestrzeni społeczno-gospodarczej i dodatkowo je wzmacnia. Utrwala także dotychczasową (tradycyjną) specjalizację wschodnich regionów. Tendencje te wzmacniać będzie przyjęty na lata 2010–2020 polaryzacyjno-dyfuzyjny model rozwoju regionalnego.
The level of the intellectual capital in Poland is far away from the rate reached in developing countries, what is more the west regions of Poland show the shortage of that capital in relation to the country average. Although that in 2003–2009 we could observe the increase in the intellectual capital in the whole country as well as in the particular voivodships, we can be concern with the very slow transformations in the east of Poland. The main limit of the accumulation as well as using the agglomerated capital in the east of Poland are the disadvantages of the macro-economic coverage which characterizes the real economy of those voivodships. The gap in the intellectual capital covers the traditional division line of Polish socialeconomical space and intensifies it. It is also similar to the common and traditional specialty of the east of regions. The tendency will be intensify be the polarizing and diffusion model of region’s development accepted for 2010–2020 years.

This paper presents considerations on the development of a business model on the basis of unique resources owned by the company. The resources are elements of the intellectual capital. Having demonstrated the relationships in the form of similair key factors, the authors pay attention to the importance of intangible assets and the opportunities resulting from research on the resources.
