W artykule zaprezentowano wybrane rozwiązania konstrukcyjne budowli wodnych, takich jak: umocnienia, budowle regulacyjne, piętrzące i przepławki, wykonanych z naturalnych materiałów. Budowle te są niezbędne do regulacji warunków wilgotnościowych w dolinie oraz utrzymania koryt rzek zgodnie z zadaniami postawionymi danemu obiektowi. Są to konstrukcje, które można również wykorzystać w ramach ochrony czynnej na obiektach cennych przyrodniczo.
Selected designs of water constructions like: reinforcements, water lifting and regulating constructions and fish ladders made of natural materials are presented in this paper. These constructions are necessary to control water relations in a valley and to maintain river channels in accordance with requirements of a given object. The constructions might also be used in the protection of naturally valuable objects.

Selected realized technological solutions of special engineering geodesy problems in the field of testing the building constructions and materials are presented in the article. The technological procedure of bridge supporting piers tilt precise measurement at Jezernice viaduct by means of the vault supports horizontal shift measurement in course of the loading test is described . Further the technology of deformation measurement of small specially strengthened vaults in course of destructive static loading tests, and also the methodology of long time deformation surveying of specially strengthened panel elements and the HEA steel profiles deformation surveying are presented, the results of which supply the data for the qualitative analyses by strength testing.

Artykuł stanowi - z konieczności - syntetyczną prezentację wybranych zagadnień z szerokiego programu badawczego, którego celem jest opracowanie oryginalnej technologii sprężania i nasuwania konstrukcji mostowych. Badania rozpoczęto w KAP w 1992r. Są one współfinansowane przez KBN i KPRM SKANSKA. W ramach programu opracowano i wykonano urządzenia, systemy sterowania oraz utworzono Laboratorium Badań i Analiz Maszyn i Budowli. Opracowaną technologię zastosowano m.in. przy realizacji mostu Zwierzynieckiego i węzła Wielicka w Krakowie, estakady w Starachowicach, estakady Bracka DTŚ w Katowicach, wiaduktu Chabówka. Trwają intensywne prace badawcze nad systemami wantowymi oraz systemami sterowania sprężaniem przestrzennym obiektów mostowych.
The paper is - out of necessity - a concise presentation of issues selected out of broad research programme aimed at designing an orginal technology of compressing and sliding bridge structures. The research was started in KAP in 1992. They are co-finance by KBN and SKANSKA. Within the programme framework, devices and control system were designed and completed and the Laboratory for Machine and Buildings Tests and Analyses was established. The designed technology was applied in the execution of the Zwierzyniecki Bridge and the Wielicka road system in Krakow, the Starachowice overpass road, the DTŚ Bracka overpass in Katowice and the Chabówka viaduct. Intense research has been conductedover shroud systems and control systems for spatial compresing of bridge objects.

The whole series (Monitoring of steel constructions - Builder July 2016 - January 2017) describes the topic of construction design technical monitoring, including the expected results of their use, its formal and legal conditions, as well as the advantages of it. A brief overview of the measuring methods used in the monitoring systems has been described, along with the technical possibilities of their application, as well as general rules of designing monitoring systems, solutions and method adjustment to the type and complexity of a building's construction. The choice of elements and places to be monitored has been presented, as well as system configuration tips. The problem has been illustrated by construction design monitoring system examples.

W artykule zaprezentowano konstrukcję oraz badania urządzenia wylotowego zastosowanego w dziale pneumatycznym przeznaczonym do wykonywania testów zderzeniowych konstrukcji lotniczych. Działo pneumatyczne służy do miotania obiektów symulujących ptaki w celu zderzania z elementami konstrukcji płatowców lub silników napędowych. Urządzenie wylotowe prezentowane w artykule ma za zadanie uwolnić pocisk osadzony w sabocie zapewniając wymagany stopień fragmentacji sabota oraz właściwą trajektorię lotu pocisku. Przedstawiono różne konstrukcje urządzenia wylotowego oraz sabota, w którym umieszczane są miotane obiekty.
The article presents the construction and testing of the muzzle used in the pneumatic gun intended for impact testing the aviation construction. The pneumatic gun is intended for throwing of objects, that simulate birds, at the elements of the construction of the planes and engines. The muzzle presented in the article is supposed to extract the missile located in the clog with keeping the proper trajectory of the missile and fragmentation of the clog. Different solutions of the muzzle are presented as well as different constructions of the clog that holds the missile.

Politechnika Wrocławska Instytut Maszyn, Napędow i Pomiarow Elektrycznych Influence of the permanent magnet assembly on the single-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor on the running motor properties was investigated. Field-circuit synchronous motor models were applied in Maxwell ver. 14. EMF, THD and cogging torque were investigated. The optimum permanent magnet assembly motor solution with the best auxiliary winding parameters was presented.

Turner syndrome (TS) is a chromosomal abnormality that affects exclusively girls and always results in a short stature . This article is based on an ethnographic research whose main objective was to look into the narratives and daily practices of Polish girls diagnosed with TS . The article describes strategies adopted towards the bodily manifes- tations of TS in everyday life of Polish teenagers diagnosed with this condition . In this paper, I explore the meanings and practices around normalization of Turner Syndrome which are being negotiated in the process of socialization of children with TS .

The author analyses prepositional constructions along the lines of Goldberg’s cognitive construction grammar. The paper starts with a discussion of Goldberg’s definition of a construction and the main theoretical assumptions of her approach. The semantic analysis of a construction is based on its contextual meaning as related to the speech event and then subsequently related to its conceptual frame, that is, its predicate-argument structure. Such an analysis of prepositional constructions allows a much wider scope of a construction than has been so far considered. It also allows the analyst to identify an abundance of a series of phrasemes which have not been accounted for even when analysing a single particular preposition (the Polish preposition ‘w’: ‘in’) in dictionaries or the studies of prepositions.

Charakteryzując niemiecki język prawny na płaszczyźnie składniowej, badacze wskazują na częste użycie konstrukcji zwanych zwrotami werbo-nominalnymi (niem. Funktionsverbgefüge). Artykuł stanowi próbę zaprezentowania tego zjawiska w kontekście przekładu tekstów prawnych na język polski. Część teoretyczna obejmuje charakterystykę formalną werbalnych fraz składniowych oraz opis ich właściwości składniowych i semantycznych. W części empirycznej została przeprowadzona analiza ekwiwalentów słownikowych, a następnie przekładowych zastosowanych w wybranych przekładach niemieckich tekstów prawnych na język polski w celu sformułowania ogólnych wniosków dotyczących potencjalnych rozwiązań translacyjnych dla tych konstrukcji w języku polskim.
Characterizing the German legal language at a syntactic level, the researchers point to the frequent use of structures called light verb constructions (Ger. Funktionsverbgefüge). The article attempts to present this phenomenon in the context of legal translation into Polish. The theoretical part includes the characteristics of a formal verbal phrases syntax and a description of their syntactic and semantic properties. The empirical part presents the analysis of dictionary equivalents and equivalents which appear in the Polish translation of the selected two German acts of law. The article focuses on translation solutions in order to formulate general conclusions concerning potential solutions for Polish translation of these constructions.

Jednym z błędów regularnie popełnianych przez Polaków mówiących i piszących po węgiersku jest nadużywanie wyrażeń z przydawkami dzierżawczymi. Wyrażenia tego typu bardzo często odpowiadają polskim konstrukcjom z przydawką dopełniaczową, nie są jednak ich jedynymi translatami. Możliwe są również następujące odpowiedniki: 1) wyrażenia z przydawką rzeczownikową w mianowniku (egy szelet kenyér), 2) wyrażenia z przydawką przymiotną zawierającą formant -(j)Ú (piros színű ruha), 3) wyrażenia z przydawką przymiotną zawierającą formant -i (árvaházi növendék), 4) złożenia (dandártábornok). Warunki, przy których zachodzi odpowiedniość typu 1 i 2, są łatwe do określenia, znacznie trudniej jest jednak wskazać reguły przekładowe odnoszące się do typów 3 i 4. Celem pracy jest próba ustalenia tych reguł.
The article discusses Hungarian translates of Polish genitive constructions. One of the mistakes regularly made by Poles speaking and writing in Hungarian is the excessive use of possessive constructions. Expressions of this kind very often correspond to the Polish genitive constructions; however, they are not their only translates. Other possible equivalents are: 1) constructions with a substantive attribute in the nominative case (egy szelet kenyér), 2) constructions with an adjectival attribute containing the derivational suffix -(j)Ú (piros színű ruha), 3) constructions with an adjectival attribute containing the derivational suffix -i (árvaházi növendék), 4) compounds (dandártábornok). Whereas it is not difficult to determine the conditions for the correspondences of types 1 and 2, the translational rules of types 3 and 4 are more complex. The aim of this article is to find and describe these rules.

The subject of the present paper are the remarks on the defending constructions of the Gniezno archbishops. Great properties consisting - at the break of the middle ages and modern times - of more than 300 villages and towns, as well as a significant role of the Gniezno archbishops in the Polish state, represented a sufficient basis enabling to build the defending constructions. In former literature the archiepiscopal castles were known only in Gniezno, Kamień Pomorski, Łowicz, Opatówek, Uniejów and in Źnin-Wenecja. The first five castles were erected by abp Jarosław Bogoria Skotnicki in the middle or 3rd quarter of 14th century, the latter was the knight's foundation bought by the archbishops in the 1st quarter of 15th century. There ie not satisfactory state of investigations of the archiepiscopal castles as far as both the source-research and the field archaeological and architectonical investigations are concerned. That is clearly illustrated by a situation of Skierniewice, where the archiepiscoDal palace still exists. It seems that the earlier archiepiscopal construction in Skierniewice was a castle erected in the middle of 15th century by «rchbishops Jan Sprowski on the isle surrounded by the moat. This castle, known from the incomplete archival data, was destroyed or rebuilt in the 1st half of 17th century. The Skierniewice example shows that the investigations of the archiepiscopal castles have not excesses - an inventory stage.The small and not existing presently defending constructions erected in the centers of particular demesnes are also forgotten. The paper concerns the formerly unknown manors in Kurzelów and Piątek. They (as well as the mentioned manors in Zychów, Łęgonice and Marchwacz) were small dwelling houses, sometimes a tower, accompanied by several household constructions, situated an the mounds and surrounded by meats. The essential function of. the archiepiscopal manors in question was, beyond any doubt, the dwelling purpose. They were inhabited by the administrators of properties, and periodically they played a role of the residence for archbishops travelling around the country. Besides the residential and administrative role the objects in question used to perform also the defending tasks, guarding the security of the inhabitants and material goods collected by the archibishops. The defending manors founded in the middle ages survived untill the 17th century, being frequently restored and rebuilt. It seems that here appears an urgent need to investigate - by means of archaeological methods - at least few defending archiepiscopal manors for the date enabling one to compare this kind of "rural defending seats" with the defending constructions erected by the secular feudals are missing. It seems moreover, that the investigations of the small archiepiscopal seats should be carried out in a close collaboration between the historian-expert in written sources and the field explorers-archaeologist and architect.
