Opis:: Subject and purpose of work: This study analyses employment in the renewable energy sector. The aim of this research was to explore the impact of obtaining energy from renewable sources on the labor market in Poland. Materials and methods: This study is based on secondary data from the Central Statistical Office, Eurostat, and EurObserv’ER. During the literature review, research papers on the labor market, published in Poland and internationally, were examined. The analyzed data was processed using an Excel 2007 spreadsheet. The number of people employed in relation to 1,000 toe of primary energy obtained in individual RES industries was the measure of the impact of the RES sector on employment. The results of the present research were presented using descriptive, graphical and tabular methods. Results: In Poland, the use of renewable energy sources between 2010 and 2020 doubled, from6,892 ktoe to 12,518 ktoe, and is projected to further double by 2030 compared to 2020.It is generally agreed that obtaining energy from renewable sources has a significant positive impact on the labor market. In the period of analysis, the number of individuals employed in the RES sector increased from 36.8 thousand to 110.8 thousand. The highest labor intensity was reported for the RES sectors of solar power, heat pumps, and liquid biofuels. Conclusions: If the renewable energy sector continues to develop as projected, the demand for employees in this industry will more than double by 2030.

Opis:: Celem badań jest przedstawienie zużycia energii elektrycznej na obszarach wiejskich oraz preferowanych kierunków rozwoju sektora energetycznego w Polsce w opinii mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich województw podkarpackiego i lubelskiego. Ze względu na obszerny zakres analizy została ona oparta w części ukazującej rzeczywiste zużycie energii na danych urzędów statystycznych, a w części perspektywicznej na badaniu ankietowym zrealizowanym wśród 516 mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich województwa podkarpackiego i lubelskiego, regionach o charakterze rolniczym, wykonanym w 2021 roku. Badanie o charakterze cząstkowym przeprowadzono metodą sondażu diagnostycznego, wykorzystując technikę CAWI. Badanie było nieprobabilistyczne. Na podstawie prowadzonego badania można stwierdzić, że mieszkańcy obszarów wiejskich pozytywnie ocenili konsekwencje prowadzonej polityki klimatycznej Unii Europejskiej dla środowiska naturalnego oraz oczekują wzmożonego wsparcia państwa w celu zwiększania udziału odnawialnych źródeł energii (OZ E) w miksie energetycznym Polski oraz stosowania wymogów dotyczących energooszczędności urządzeń. Ankietowani byli przekonani o możliwości pokrycia i zastąpienia energii z konwencjonalnych źródeł, pozytywnie ocenili energię ze źródeł odnawialnych, postrzegając OZ E, a głównie fotowoltaikę, jako podstawowe źródło energii w miksie energetycznym Polski.
The aim of the research is to present electricity consumption in rural areas and the preferred directions of development of the energy sector in Poland in the opinion of the rural population of the Podkarpackie and Lubelskie Voivodships. Due to the extensive scope of the analysis, the part showing the actual energy consumption was based on the data from statistical offices, whereas the part concerning the prospects was based on the survey conducted in 2021 among 516 inhabitants of rural areas of the Podkarpackie and Lubelskie Voivodships, which are typically agricultural regions. The study was partial and was carried out using the diagnostic survey method and the CAWI technique. The study was not probabilistic. The study shows that the surveyed inhabitants of rural areas positively assessed the consequences of the European Union climate policy for the natural environment and expect greater state support to increase the share of renewable energy sources in Poland’s energy mix and to apply the requirements for the energy efficiency of devices. The respondents were convinced of the possibility of covering and replacing energy from conventional sources. They positively assessed energy from renewable sources, perceiving renewable energy, mainly photovoltaics, as the main source of energy in Poland’s energy mix.
