    In Spanish Law, the constitutional public order, ruled by Spanish Constitution and by Spanish Religious Freedom Act, has the consequence that it’s not possible to marry a second marriage if the fi rst one has not been dissolved before, and this is not able to do not even when it there is a religious motivation. So, monogamic marriage is recognized in Spanish Law, both in Civil as in Canonic Law, which Canonic marriage is recognized by Spanish matrimonial system. Th is protection is done by the establishment of prohibitions for contract a new marriage while the fi rst one has not been dissolved, and, also by the crime of bigamy. However, it has been admitted by Spanish Supreme Court, some legal consequences from a polygamic marriage what it could be the way for a further admission of polygamic marriage in the future. Th is work has been done inside the Proyecto I+D+I DER2015-65840-R ‘Diversidad y Convivencia: los derechos humanos como guía de acción’, del Programa Estatal de Investigación, Desarrollo e Innovación orientada a los retos de la sociedad, del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.

    Lo scopo di questo articolo è quello di presentare la spiritualità brigidina di fronte alle sfi de attuali della vita consacrata. Pertanto, un’analisi dei testi della fondatrice dell’Ordine del Santissimo Salvatore, patrona d’Europa, S. Brigida di Svezia, e la rinnovatrice dell’Ordine nel XX secolo, S. Elisabetta Hesselblad. Come punto di partenza per l’analisi è stato scelto un brano del Vangelo di san Giovanni, che racconta l’incontro tra Gesù e la Samaritana. In questo episodio evangelico troviamo uno stimolo a riscoprire il senso della vita consacrata. Un’attenta analisi dei testi di S. Brigida di Svezia e di S. Elisabetta Hesselblad mostra la loro pertinenza nel contesto dell’insegnamento contemporaneo della Chiesa sulla vita consacrata. Dopo tanti secoli, il cammino spirituale tracciato dalle fondatrici parla alla modernità. Sono vere maestre di vita cristiana e profetesse dei tempi nuovi. I loro pensieri, saldamente radicati nella Parola di Dio, ci permettono di trovare risposte ai dilemmi e alle sfide contemporanee della vita consacrata. La spiritualità delle Brigidine è sfaccettata e complessa, tutto da riscoprire nella sua attualità.
    The aim of this article is to present the Brigidian spirituality in the face of the current challenges of consecrated life. Therefore, an analysis of the texts of the founder of the Order of the Most Holy Savior, the patron of Europe, St. Bridget of Sweden, and the renewal of the Order in the 20th century, St. Elizabeth Hesselblad. As a starting point for the analysis, a passage from the Gospel of Saint John was chosen, which tells of the encounter between Jesus and the Samaritan woman. In this Gospel episode we find an incentive to rediscover the meaning of consecrated life. A careful analysis of the texts of St. Bridget of Sweden and St. Elizabeth Hesselblad shows their relevance in the context of the Church’s contemporary teaching on consecrated life. After so many centuries, the spiritual path traced by the foundresses speaks to modernity. They are true teachers of Christian life and prophetesses of the new times. Their thoughts, firmly rooted in the Word of God, enable us to find answers to the dilemmas and contemporary challenges of consecrated life. Brigidian spirituality is multifaceted and complex, all to be rediscovered in its actuality.

    Opis:
    This article examines issues related to prison disciplinary proceedings. At the first part the Author describes – in a synthetic way – the evolution and aims of imprisonment, starting from ancient times until the 19th century. Mentioned are also the methods od prison discipline in places of penal isolation. The second part consist of a detailed account of historical development of prison disciplinary proceeding in Poland – from the period after the First World War until contemporary times. Concluding part of the article states that the objective of disciplinary sanctions is no longer only to provide safety and order within prisons but also is an important measure of inmate rehabilitation.

    Artykuł analizuje rękopiśmienne dzieło o. Bartłomieja Bolesławskiego O.S.P.P.E.: "Paulina Eremus seu co[m]mentarius hystoricus in quo Ordinis Fratrum Eremitarum Sancti Pauli Primi Eremitae primordia, progressus, fundationes, privile- gia, viri illustres referuntur", które pochodzi z 1630 roku. Manuskrypt ten jest obecnie przechowywany w Archiwum Jasnogórskim. Paulina Eremus o. Bolesławskiego jest nie tylko cennym źródłem, by poznać dzieje Zakonu Paulinów, lecz także przybliża historię eremityzmu pierwszych wieków chrześcijaństwa, z którym Paulini byli i są ściśle związani od samych początku swego istnienia. Paulina Eremus dostarcza licznych wiadomości dotyczących zarówno dziejów starochrześcijańskiego pustelnic- twa, jak i samego Zakonu Paulinów. Rękopis jasno wykazuje, iż duchowość pauliri- skich mnichów jest głęboko związana nie tylko ze św. Pawłem z Teb - pierwszym pustelnikiem chrześcijańskim, lecz także ze wszystkimi eremitami pierwszych wieków - jego naśladowcami.
    The article analyzes the manuscript work of Father Bartłomiej Bolesławski O.S.P.P.E .: "Paulina Eremus seu co [m] mentarius hystoricus in quo Ordinis Fratrum Eremitarum Sancti Pauli Primi Eremitae primordia, progressus, fundationes, privilegia, viri illustres referuntur" from year 1630. This manuscript is currently kept in the Jasna Góra Archives. Father Bolesławski's Pauline Eremus is not only a valuable source to learn about the history of the Pauline Order, but also introduces the history of the hermitism of the first centuries of Christianity, with which Paulines have been and are closely connected to from the very beginning. Paulina Eremus provides numerous information about both the history of Old Christian hermits and the Pauline Order itself. The manuscript clearly shows that the spirituality of Pauline monks is deeply connected not only to Saint Paul of Thebes - the first Christian hermit, but also to all hermits of the first centuries - his followers.

    Za panowania Władysława Jagiełły (1386-1434) Piastowie mazowieccy aktywnie uczestniczyli we wszystkich konfliktach zbrojnych toczonych pomiędzy swoim suwerenem a siłami Zakonu Krzyżackiego – na początku lat dziewięćdziesiątych XIV w.; w czasie tzw. wielkiej wojny z Zakonem Krzyżackim 1409-1411; w walkach 1414 r.; w krótkotrwałej wyprawie 1419 r. (zaniechanej na skutek interwencji wysłannika Zygmunta Luksemburskiego, arcybiskupa Mediolanu Bartłomiej de Capra) i w wojnie 1433 r. W ten sposób król Władysław II wzmacniał własne siły wojskowe, zapewniał lepszą aprowizację dla swoich wojsk i uniemożliwiał Piastom mazowieckim (zwłaszcza Siemowitowi IV) opowiedzenie się po stronie zakonu.
    During the reign of king Władysław II Jagiełło (1386-1434), the Mazovian Piasts participated actively in all conflagrations between their sovereign and forces of the Teutonic Order: at the beginning of the 1390s; during the so-called great war against the Teutonic Order 1409-1411; in warfare of 1414; in a short-lived military expedition of 1419 (abandoned due to the intervention of Sigismund of Luxembourg's envoy, Bartholomew de Capra, Archbishop of Milan) and in the war of 1433. In this way, king Władysław II strenghtened his army, provided better supplies for his troops, and prevented the Mazovian Piasts from siding with the Teutonic Order.
