Ghostly Tales
Polish - Opis:
- Vernon Lee, pseudonym of the writer Violet Paget (1856-1935), was born in France, daughter of a Polish refugee. After having chosen Tuscany as her new homeland, she began composing several of historical, artistic, essayistic and literary works. Mostly important, among the narrative, are the Fantastic Stories and Ghostly Tales where landscapes and characters of ancient Italian history are combined with memories of her origin country. Polish people are the main characters of the “noir” tales “Amour Dure” and “The Legend of Madame Krasinska”, both of 1892.
