Opis:: L’articolo contiene un’analisi comparativa tra originali traduzioni in francese e in inglese di Ragazzi di vita di Pier Paolo Pasolini pubblicate rispettivamente nel 1958 e 1968 e le nuove versioni pubblicate nel 2016. L’analisi e basata su diversi aspetti come le scelte tra l’esotizzazione e l’addomesticamento; il modo in cui i traduttori hanno affrontato il problema del plurilinguismo nel testo di partenza che collega l’italiano standard, il dialetto romano e il gergo della malavita romana; strategie che riguardano per esempio gli antroponimi caricati semanticamente.
This article contains a comparative analysis between original French and English translations of Pasolini’s Ragazzi di vita first published respectively in 1958 and 1968 and new versions both published in 2016. The analysis is based on several factors, such as choices between foreignization and domestication; the way in which translators dealt with multilingualism of the source text, which combines Italian, the Romanesco dialect and the Rome’s lowlife jargon; strategies regarding semantically loaded anthroponyms.

Opis:: The present article focuses on the construction of characters in Luke 7:36-50. The author uses the tools of narrative analysis to illumine the way in which the narratordescribes the three main protagonists of the story: Simon, the Pharisee, woman called a sinner, and Jesus. Simon clearly plays a secondary role in the narration serving as a negative background for the presentation of woman and introducing the main theme of the identity of Jesus. The woman, although being presented by the narrator as a sinner, is eventually put forward as a model of love and faith. However, she also plays a secondary role with respect to Jesus around whom all the story revolve. He is the one that attracts all the attention of the story. His voice resounds with authority suppressing even the voice of the narrator and giving interpretation to the behavior of other characters. The image and identity of Jesus, which is the main point of narrator’s interest, goes well beyond the traits of rabbi and master pointing at his divinity.

Opis:: Lo scopo dell’articolo è quello di mostrare il problema dell’umanizzazione della morte e delle relative sfide etiche riguardanti l’accompagnamento del paziente nello stato terminale. In caso di misure terapeutiche insufficienti, il medico dovrebbe prendersi cura della persona morente. La questione dell’umanizzazione della morte è descritta sulla base degli scritti di Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. Innanzitutto, la questione riguarda il paziente stesso e la sua reazione nella prospettiva della morte. Le risposte dei pazienti sono molto diverse e richiedono tanta pazienza da parte degli operatori sanitari e di altri curatori. Altrettanto importanti sono i modi di vivere in queste circostanze da parte di parenti e familiari, che prendono parte nell’andare via della persona morente, che può essere espresso in scosse di speranza o mancanza di accettazione. La seconda parte dell’articolo discute varie questioni etiche legate all’accompagnamento del morente: l’atteggiamento di ascolto, la valutazione dell’eredità del passato, la mediazione nelle reazioni del paziente, il rispetto per i valori professati dal paziente, l’entrare nel mondo culturale del morente, l’accompagnamento spirituale, l’accettazione delle sconfitte.
The aim of the article is to show the problem of humanization of death and related ethical challenges regarding accompanying the patient in the terminal state. In the event of insufficient therapeutic measures, the physician should take proper care of the dying person. The issue of humanization of death is described based on the writings of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. First of all, it concerns the patient himself and his reaction to the perspective of death. Patient responses are very different and require a lot of patience from healthcare professionals and other caregivers. Also important are the ways of experiencing this situation by relatives and family, also taking part in the passing of the dying person, which can be expressed in shaking hope or lack of acceptance. The second part of the article discusses various ethical issues related to accompanying the dying: the ability to listen, assessment of the heritage of the past, mediation in the patient's responses, respect for the values professed by the patient, entering the cultural world of the dying, spiritual accompaniment, acceptance of defeats.
Celem artykułu jest ukazanie problemu humanizacji śmierci oraz związanych z nim wyzwań etycznych, dotyczących towarzyszenia choremu w stanie terminalnym. W sytuacji niewystarczalności środków terapeutycznych, lekarz powinien otoczyć właściwą troską umierającego. Zagadnienie humanizacji śmierci zostaje opisane na podstawie pism Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. W pierwszym rzędzie dotyczy ono samego pacjenta i jego reakcji w perspektywie śmierci. Reakcje pacjenta są bardzo różne i wymagają wiele cierpliwości ze strony pracowników medycznych i innych opiekunów. Istotne są również sposoby przeżywania tej sytuacji przez bliskich i rodzinę, biorących również udział w odchodzeniu umierającego, które mogą się wyrazić w zachwianiu nadziei lub braku akceptacji. W drugiej części artykułu omówione są różne zagadnienia etyczne, dotyczące towarzyszeniu umierającemu: umiejętność słuchania, ocena dziedzictwa przeszłości, pośrednictwo w reakcjach chorego, szacunek do wartości wyznawanych przez pacjenta, wejście w świat kulturalny umierającego, towarzyszenie duchowe, zaakceptowanie przegranej.

Opis:: The story of the sinful woman (Luke 7:36-50) is an excellent example of Luke’s narrative skills. It presents a coherent plot, abounds in interesting turning points, and shows a vivid interaction between main characters. In the same time, the story is filled with tensions, gaps and ambiguity which regard the gestures of the woman, the forgiveness she receives, and the role which in the entire process is played by Jesus. The purpose of the present article lies in illumining the development of Luke’s account with the use of the narrative approach. The story is divided into scenes and set up in the spatial-temporal, and socio-cultural frame. The scheme of the narration is labeled as a plot of discovery. Its focal point is not the love or faith of the sinful woman, but the identity of Jesus. The full revelation of his divine authority takes place in the pardon of sins granted to the woman (vv.47a.48), which brings to completion the ongoing process of her reconciliation. The article finishes with the analysis of interaction between the text and its readers and with the exposition of the techniques used by the narrator to shape the competences and the choices made by the recipients of the story.
