    A hypothesis has been proposed stating that the Germanic words with the meaning ‘milk’ and ‘to milk’ go back to IE root *mel- ‘to crush, to squash’, ‘to spread, to smear’. This root could have generated two semantic derivatives, namely, ‘to spill; wet, moist’ and ‘to rub, to stroke’ to which the meanings ‘milk’ and ‘to milk’ go back. The Germanic *mel-uk- ‘milk’ might be a compound word, the second component o which *au eg-/ug- has the meaning ‘to increase, to add’.

    Opis:
    The different emotional perceptions of reality have created in literature three specific modes: lyric, drama and epic. Epic works correspond more to the prose of life and reflect its presentation in literature, both fictional and aesthetical. It is clamed, that nowadays rage is booming and anger is fashion (Johannes Lehman). Then comes the question how modern authors present these phenomena in their works and how it is perceived. The novel by Daniel Kehlmann “F” (2013) could be seen as a material for the possible explanations of the emotion “anger” in relation to the cultural-historical background of modern time. The examples analyzed indicate that the rage of the protagonists comes from the inadequacy of solving their sexual, intellectual, economic, artistic and religious problems and is mostly named but not described.

    The article presents research into borrowings from German to the Polish language. That research was initiated in the 19th century. German lexical borrowings were linked to other linguistic issues, such as morphology, syntax, phonology or semantic field theory. The most important researcher of German borrowings in Polish were Aleksander Bruckner, Leszek Moszyński, Ludwik Zabrocki, Wilhelm Kästner, Alicja Karszniewicz-Mazur etc. The article is a critical analysis of the most significant publications on this subject.

    The article is based on the science communication project “Verbal Aggression in the Action Field School: Causes, Forms, Violence Prevention” (FWF), which the author realized at 12 schools in Vienna with several classes (a total of 27 classes, pupils 11-17 years old) from 14.3.2018 to 13.9.2019 and on the experience she has gained as a «science ambassador» from the Austrian institution for the cooperation between science and school «Young Science» during the past five years as a result of meetings with Viennese schoolchildren. The activities mentioned provided impulses for this contribution, in which aspects of verbal aggression and verbal violence are presented that can be included in the Language-/German lessons.

    Im Fokus des Beitrags stehen ausgewählte geflügelte Worte aus dem Duden-Wörterbuch (Bd. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". Untersucht werden insgesamt 65 Beispiele, darunter 19 geflügelte Worte fremder Herkunft. Die Ausdrücke haben oft ihre Entsprechungen in der deutschen Sprache. Das gesammelte Forschungsmaterial zeigt, dass sich viele geflügelte Worte im Laufe der Zeit lexikalisch und/oder semantisch verändert haben.
    Przedmiotem artykułu są wybrane skrzydlate słowa zarejestrowane w słowniku Dudena (t. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". Zbadano łącznie 65 przykładów, w tym 19 skrzydlatych słów pochodzenia obcego. Wyrażenia mają często swoje odpowiedniki w języku niemieckim. Zebrany materiał badawczy pokazuje, że w przypadku wielu skrzydlatych słów nastąpiły w przeciągu lat zmiany w obrębie leksyki i/lub semantyki.
    The subject of this article is selected winged words registered in Duden dictionary (vol. 12, 2017) "Zitate und Aussprüche. Herkunft, Bedeutung und aktueller Gebrauch. 7 500 Zitate von der klassischen Antike bis heute". In the article I will examine 65 examples, including 19 winged words of foreign origin. Some of the phrases have their German equivalents. Collected research material indicates that, in case of many winged words, both lexical and semantic changes have occurred over the years.

    The of the article entitled Lexical Elements of Foreign Origin in German as Linguistic Means of Building a Sense of Humour subjects to analysis lexical elements of foreign origin present in the selected German sketches and their function as linguistic means of building a sense of humor. There are two crucial questions here – a question of the role of lexical elements of foreign origin in humorous texts and a question of the impact of knowledge of lexis of foreign origin on the correct interpretation, which is expected by the authors of a joke. The phenomenon of lack of knowledge of the meanings of those words becomes the leitmotif of the joke, however, mostly women are presented in the role of ridiculed people.
    Autorka poddaje analizie leksykalne elementy obcego pochodzenia wystepujące w wybranych niemieckich skeczach a także funkcję jaka pełnią w budowaniu humoru. Pojawiają się w tym kontekście dwa istotne pytania: jedno o role elementów leksykalnych obcego pochodzenia w tekstach humorystycznych, drugie o oddziaływanie znajomości słownictwa na właściwą interpretację założoną przez autorów kawału. Autorka argumentuje, iż brak znajomości znaczenia słów staje się motywem przewodnim kawału, krytyce prześmiewczej w tym względzie, poddawane są natomiast na ogół kobiety.

    In dem Beitrag werden ausgewählte Fremdwörter in historischen Zitaten aus Wirtschaftsartikeln der Jahre 1885–1886 und 1995–1996 präsentiert und analysiert, um zu zeigen, wie sich die Wirtschaftssprache in einer Zeitspanne von 100 Jahren verändert hat. Das ausgehende 19. Jh. und das ausgehende 20. Jh. wurden gewählt, da es in dieser Zeitspanne großen technischen Fortschritt gab, der einen Ausbau und Wandel des Wortschatzes zur Folge hatte. In der Untersuchung soll zum Ausdruck kommen, wie sich die Wirtschaftskommunikation insbesondere auf dem Gebiet des Handels und der Industrie entwickelt hat, welche Wörter von den Umwälzungen unberührt geblieben sind und welche aus dem Gebrauch kamen. Das Augenmerk ist hier auf häufig auftretende Fremdwörter sowie Ausdrücke mit Fremdwörtern gerichtet; das Interesse gilt auch hybriden Zusammensetzungen aus einem nativen und einem nicht nativen Wort. Der Beitrag basiert auf einer vorgenommenen längeren Analyse des Wirtschaftswortschatzes aus dem ausgehenden 19. und 20. Jh., der Wirtschaftsbereiche wie Handel, Industrie, Arbeitsmarkt und Finanzen umfasst. Die Wortschatzbeispiele werden ausschließlich aus der Wirtschaftspresse geschöpft. Diese Untersuchungen wollen sich auch in Beiträge einreihen, die den Fachsprachen gewidmet sind.
    In this paper, selected foreign words are presented and analysed in historical quotations from business articles from 1885-1886 (19th century) and 1995-1996 (20th century) to show how business language has changed over a period of 100 years. The end of the 19th century and the end of the 20th century were thus chosen because there has been a great technical progress during this period, which resulted in an expansion and change of vocabulary. The study aims to show how business communication had developed, especially in the field of trade and industry, which words remained unaffected by the upheavals, and which came out of use. The focus here is on frequently occurring foreign words as well as expressions with foreign words; interest is also directed at hybrid compounds of both native and a non-native words. The article is part of a longer analysis of economic vocabulary from the 19th and 20th centuries, covering economic areas such as trade, industry, the labour market.     Der vorliegende Beitrag zielt darauf ab, die Mikroebene der verschlüsselten Kommunikation zeitgenössischer Tänzer*innen in den Blick zu nehmen. Der Fokus der hier präsentierten Ausführungen liegt demnach auf der Identifikation von Schlüsselwörtern, die die zeitgenössischen Tänzer*innen im schöpferischen Prozess während der Arbeit an einer Aufführung verwenden. Während der nicht teilnehmenden Beobachtung, die als methodische Herangehensweise gilt, werden die während der Tanzproben verwendeten Schlüsselwörter erkannt, ihre Funktion auf Grund der Analyse des Kontextes sowie die Motive ihres Gebrauchs bestimmt. Hiermit lässt sich die Frage beantworten, ob die Bezeichnung verschlüsselt bezüglich der Kommunikation zeitgenössischer Tänzer*innen legitim ist.
    Celem przedłożonego artykułu jest refleksja nad mikroskalą zaszyfrowanej komunikacji tancerzy współczesnych. W centrum zainteresowania znajdują się słowa klucze, którymi posługują się tancerze współcześni w procesie twórczym, podczas pracy nad spektaklem tanecznym. Zastosowanie metody obserwacji jawnej nieuczestniczącej pozwala na identyfikację słów kluczy stosowanych podczas prób do spektaklu tańca współczesnego, rozkodowanie ich znaczenia, określenie funkcji słów kluczy oraz motywów ich użycia. Tym samym możliwa staje się odpowiedź na pytanie o zasadność użycia określenia komunikacji tancerzy współczesnych mianem zaszyfrowana.
    The aim of the presented paper is to specify the micro-level of encoded communication between contemporary dancers. The focus of the statements is the identification of the key words that contemporary dancers use in the creative process while working on the performance. During the non-participating observation, which is considered a methodical approach, the key words are identified, their function and the motives for their use are determined on the basis of the analysis of the context. Thus, it becomes possible to answer the question about the legitimacy of using the term encoded for the communication of contemporary dancers.

    Im Beitrag wird der Frage nachgegangen, welche Lemmata in älteren (aus dem 19. Jh.) fremdwortbezogenen Wörterbüchern als Entlehnungen aus dem Arabischen betrachtet wurden und wie sich diese Beschreibungen von denen in den heutigen Wörterbüchern des Deutschen unterscheiden. Aufgrund des heutigen Wissensstands in der Linguistik und speziell in der Etymologie kommt man zu – wenigstens teilweise – anderen Einsichten in die Herkunft des deutschen Wortschatzes. Manche Lemmata, die früher als Arabismen gekennzeichnet wurden, werden heute als direkte Entlehnungen aus dem Französischen, Italienischen, Spanischen o.ä. betrachtet.
    German language has been strongly influenced by various languages. First of all, borrowings from Latin and French should be mentioned. The influences of the Arabic language, however, also played a significant role. The paper presents and offers a description of words of Arabic origin in three German dictionaries of borrowings: WIEDEMANN (1811), WANDER (1858), KÖHLER (1882). As it turns out, in modern etymological dictionaries most of these words are not treated as borrowings which entered German directly from Arabic.
    Język niemiecki podlegał silnym wpływom ze strony różnych języków. Na pierwszym miejscu należy wspomnieć o zapożyczeniach z łaciny i z języka francuskiego, ale istotną rolę odegrały też wpływy języka arabskiego. Artykuł przedstawia i opisuje arabizmy występujące w trzech niemieckich słownikach zapożyczeń: WIEDEMANN (1811), WANDER (1858), KÖHLER (1882). Okazuje się, że większość tych wyrazów nie jest traktowana we współczesnych słownikach etymologicznych jako zapożyczenia bezpośrednio przejęte do języka niemieckiego z języka arabskiego.

    The dictionary of loan words of Friedrich Erdmann Petri had its first edition in 1806, and in 1929 appeared the 42nd edition. The dictionary contains grammatical, etymological, semantic description but it also suggests indigenous word equivalents to eliminate loan words – and so it belongs to the descriptive-Germanising lexicographic works. A lot of foreign words listed in this dictionary are not used in present German.
    Słownik zapożyczeń Friedricha Erdmanna Petriego miał swoje pierwsze wydanie w roku 1806, a w roku 1929 ukazało się wydanie 42. Słownik zawiera informacje gramatyczne, etymologiczne, semantyczne, a poza tym proponuje ekwiwalenty rodzime mające zastąpić obce hasła. Można go więc zaliczyć do słowników objaśniająco-zniemczających. Wiele z zamieszczonych tam wyrazów nie istnieje już w języku niemieckim.

Die vorliegende Arbeit liefert Textquellen der geflügelten Worte in der deutschen Sprache, die Prinzipien des Aufbaus des Wörterbuchs, seinen Umfang, die Struktur des Wörterbuchartikels und auch die Beispiele der lexikografischen Beschreibung von geflügelten Worten aus deutschen Quellen. Zu jedem deutschen geflügelten Wort im Wörterbuch kann ein Äquivalent in der belarussischen Sprache zugewiesen werden. Daher könnte das Wörterbuch auch von Deutschsprachigen, die die belarussische Sprache studieren oder lernen, als bersetzungswörterbuch eingesetzt werden.
    The article is devoted to the structural description of the dictionary of the winged words used in modern literary German language. It is suitable for Belarusians studying German as a foreign language. It shows texts as a source of winged words in the German language; principles of dictionary building, its scope, as well as examples of lexicographic descriptions of winged words as dated as the actual German sources themselves. Each and every German winged word in the dictionary has an equivalent in the Belarusian language. Therefore, the dictionary can be useful for Germans studying Belarusian as well.
    Artykuł poświęcony jest opisowi struktury słownika skrzydlatych słów powszechnie używanych we współczesnym języku niemieckim. Słownik adresowany jest do Białorusinów, którzy studiują język niemiecki jako obcy. Rozpatrywane są źródła tekstowe skrzydlatych słów w języku niemieckim, zasady konstruowania słownika, jego objętość, budowa hasła słownikowego oraz przytaczane są przykłady opisu leksykograficznego skrzydlatych wyrażeń o rodowodzie niemieckim. Każde niemieckie skrzydlate wyrażenie posiada odpowiednik białoruski, dlatego słownik może być przydatny również jako słownik przekładowy dla Niemców uczących się języka białoruskiego.
    Статья посвящена описанию структуры словаря употребительных крылатых выражений в современном немецком литературном языке. Словарь предназначен для белорусов, которые изучают немецкий язык как иностранный. Рассматриваются текстовые источники крылатых слов в немецком языке, принципы построения словаря, его объем, структура словарной статьи, а также приводятся примеры лексикографического описания крылатых выражений, восходящих к собственно немецким источникам. К каждому немецкому крылатому выражению в словаре приводится соответствие в белорусском языке. Поэтому словарь может быть полезен в качестве переводного также и немцам, изучающим белорусский язык.
