    Opis:
    Light-verb constructions (Helbig 1977) are complex multi-word units that occur in almost every language and language variety. They are also definied as an integral part of the specialized languages and thus also of the business correspondence. The aim of the article is to show how the light verb constructions can cause linguistic politeness. The focus is on the achievements of the light verb constructions such as passivation, change of perspective and the indirectness of the speech act.

    Johannes Bobrowski and Arno Schmidt: Parallel Lives? The article focuses on biographical and literary affinities between two of the most important authors of twentieth-century German literature. This can also be of interest to an English reading public, as both of them are very widely translated into this language, Schmidt even with his „untranslatable“ monster Bottom’s Dream [German original Zettel’s Traum] (which, though, remains outside of the scope of the present paper). So do not hesitate to read the above essay if it is not beyond your linguistic capacities. Important parallels are: Both were born in now no longer German-speaking regions in the East. Both were averse to main-stream literati and literary-traditions. Both wrote in uncommon, experimental style, Schmidt underlining this attitude by typographical experiments. Both were able to transform ordinary reading matter into important complex texts, establishing them as modern classics.
    Johannes Bobrwoski und Arno Schmidt wurden kaum parallel gestellt. Ihre literarischen Leben liefen jedoch zeitlich erstaunlich parallel. Auch stammen beide aus den ehemals deutsch(sprachig)en Ostgebieten. Ihre Buchbestände/Bibliotheken verblüffen jedoch durchaus auf den zweiten Blick: Der bekennende Christ (DDR-CDU-Mitglied) Johannes Bobrowksi hat kaum christliche Literatur, der Avantgardist Arno Schmidt hat massenhaft schlesische Heimatliteratur. Über beide Aspekte lohnt es sich, in Zukunft mehr nachzudenken.

    Opis:
    Der Beitrag setzt sich zum Ziel, die kategorialen, zwischen dem semantisch reduzierten Prädikat und einem Substantiv oder einer Präpositionalphrase entstehenden Komponenten des Funktionsverbgefüges (FVG) im Deutschen zu beschreiben, um auf dieser Basis dessen Rezeption didaktisch zu erleichtern. Dazu wird die Syntax dieses Konstruktionstyps analysiert und es wird untersucht, inwieweit die semantische Reduktion des Prädikats noch die Fähigkeit hat, die geeigneten Kategorien von Komplementen / Ergänzungen zuzulassen und sie formallogisch zu determinieren. Im Anschluss werden adäquate Übungskonzepte vorgestellt, die das beschriebene Phänomen didaktisieren.
    Celem artykułu jest opisanie kategorialnych składników stałych związków wyrazowych w języku niemieckim, powstających między zredukowanym znaczeniowo orzeczeniem a rzeczownikiem lub frazą przyimkową, co ułatwić powinno ich zrozumienie oraz ich odpowiednią dydaktyzację. Artykuł koncentruje się na analizie składni tego rodzaju konstrukcji, poszukując odpowiedzi na pytanie, na ile redukcja semantyczna orzeczenia może nadal ewokować zdolność dopuszczania i logicznego określania odpowiednich kategorii dopełnień. W tym kontekście zaprezentowano równocześnie adekwatne koncepcje ćwiczeń uwzględniających opisywane zjawisko.
    The aim of the article is to describe the categorical components of collocations in the German language, which arise between the reduced meaning of a predicate and a noun or a prepositional phrase. This should facilitate their understanding and their appropriate teaching approach. The article focuses on the syntactic analysis of such constructions, seeking answers to the question of how much the semantic reduction of a predicate can still evoke the ability to admit and logically determine the appropriate categories of complements. At the same time, adequate exercise concepts to address the verbal phenomenon described were presented.

    Opis:
    The aim of the study is to show the possibilities of using corpus analyses for theintroduction of light verb constructions in German during foreign language lessons. The corpus analyses of three selected light verb constructions Maßnahmen ergreifen, einen Beschluss fassen and Bericht erstatten show the co-occurrence of these units and enable the creation of syntagmatic patterns and the allocation of individual light verb constructions to thematic areas. The results of the analysis confirm the thesis that syntagmatic patterns are an aid to learners of German, as they present their use in a sentence and show the partner words with their syntactic function. This method can present the context of use and the thematic area of the light verb constructions. The results of the analyses are also a guideline to placing the syntagmatic patterns in German-Polish dictionaries to help learners to use them and communicate with them correctly
