    Opis:
    The aim of the following paper was to analyse the history of crime literature genre – which is perceived in the terms of kitsch and structural conventionality – from the perspective of religious morality, ethics and aesthetics, in order to show that between theology and bloody crime fiction there are many similarities. Criminal poetry is not only close to the Bible and Christian philosophy in respect of the subject matter or used motives, but also in regard to the conceptual narrative means that were used. One can even venture the statement that crime novel – this term stands for its various variants – on the one hand derives from the biblical theology, on the other hand creates a kind of “new Bible” on his own and a specific religion: the so-called religion in-between, religion between impious crime and pious crime solving.

    The novel Selbs Mord ends up the series of Bernhard Schlink’s detective stories about the private detective Gerhard Selb. Schlink’s last detective novel, unlike the earlier ones, did not meet a warm reception among the critics. Notwithstanding, the reviewers did not take into account a one important feature of the text – both with respect to the content and the structure. Selbs Mord is namely an attempt of a deconstruction, a farewell with the detective novel as a genre. A real suicide of the genre.

    After leaving a GDR prison, in the 60s, Erich Loest started to write crime stories under the pseudonym Hans Walldorf. His series of only a few novels finishes with the short story collection entitled Oakins macht Karriere. In his stories, presenting the investigations by a London detective Pat Oakins, Loest did a specific kind of travesty of a classic genre convention, going away from a socialistic-didactic character of crime stories in Eastern Germany.
    Po wyjściu z enerdowskiego więzienia Erich Loest zaczął w latach 60. pisać pod pseudonimem Hans Walldorf kryminały. Jego serię zaledwie kilku powieści kończy zbiór opowiadań Oakins macht Karriere. Loest w poszczególnych historiach, opowiadających o toczących się śledztwach prowadzonych przez londyńskiego detektywa Pata Oakinsa, dokonał swoistego rodzaju trawestacji klasycznej konwencji gatunkowej, odchodząc od socjalistyczno-dydaktycznego charakteru kryminału we wschodniej części Niemiec.

    Der vorliegende Text stellt eine Analyse eines recht untypischen Kriminalromans von Friedrich Ani dar. Der Titel Süden ist der Name eines im Rahmen der Gattung ebenso untypischen Protagonisten/Detektivs. Wenn im Zentrum einer typischen Kriminalgeschichte das Rätsel eines Verbrechens, meistens eines Mordes, steht und somit im Vordergrund die Frage nach dem „Wer?“, so liegt hier das Hauptanliegen des Erzählers auf der Suche nach einem Verschwundenen, dessen Existenz erst durch sein Verschwinden sichtbar wird. Genauso unkonventionell ist die Arbeitsmethode des Ermittlers, der im Gegensatz zu seinen idealtypischen ‚Kollegen‘ nicht abfragt, sondern durch eigenes Schweigen, lies: Abwarten, seine Gegenspieler zum Sprechen bringt. Der Roman von Ani ist ein Bestandteil des Romanzyklus mit dem Verschwundenen- Sucher Süden in der Hauptrolle.
    Prezentowany tu tekst jest analizą wielce nietypowej powieści kryminalnej Friedricha Aniego. Tytułowy Süden to nazwisko równie nietypowego w ramach gatunku protagonisty/ detektywa. O ile w typowej powieści kryminalnej chodzi zwykle o rozwiązanie zagadki przestępstwa, najczęściej morderstwa, o zatem o zdemaskowanie sprawcy, o tyle w przypadku tej powieści zainteresowanie dotyczy poszukiwania osoby zaginionej oraz przyczyn i skutków takiego zaginięcia. Najczęściej chodzi tu o figury, które dopiero jako zaginione stają się obiektem zainteresowania środowiska. Także metoda pracy jest nader osobliwa. W przeciwieństwie do definowanych w typach idealnych detektywów klasycznej powieści kryminalnej, których praca polega między innymi na ,przepytywaniu‘ kontrpartnerów, Süden prowokuje ich do mówienia poprzez swoje uporczywe milczenie. Powieść Aniego jest częścią cyklu powieściowego z Südenem, poszukiwaczem zagionionych, w roli głównej.
    The present article contains the analysis of a rather non-typical detective novel by Friedrich Ani. Its title Süden is the name of a protagonist/detective who, in the framework of the genre, can be considered equally non-typical. While in a typical detective story the mystery of a crime, most often murder, forms the centre and thus the question „Who?“ is at the fore, the main concern of Ani’s narrator rests on the search for a missing person whose very existence becomes visible through his/her disappearance only. Just as unconventional is here the working of the investigator who, in contrast to his ideal type ‚colleagues‘, does not interrogate his counterparts, but provokes them to talk by his own silence, that is: waiting. Ani’s novel is a part of his cycle of novels centered around the ‚missing-searcher‘ Süden.

    Der Beitrag ist ein Versuch der komplexen Interpretation des Romans „Der Kameramörder“ von Thomas Glavinic. Der in ihm dargestellte Mord von zwei Kindern und die damit verbundene Ermittlung beeindrucken mit Gewalt und Grausamkeit, wobei die beliebtesten, vom Autor ausgenutzten Mittel Irritation und absurde Anspannung sind. Der Text ist in zwei Teile gegliedert. Im ersten wird die traditionelle, nahe liegende Interpretation aufgenommen, in der Nachdruck auf die Sprache gelegt wird. Im zweiten Teil erscheint eine alternative Auslegung: trotz allem, was die Handlung scheinbar suggeriert, der Erzähler war kein Täter, sondern einer von vielen Schuldträgern. Demzufolge werden soziale und mediale Aspekte der Interpretation betont.
    The paper is an attempt for a complex interpretation of Thomas Glavinic’s novel “Der Kameramörder”. The murder of two children depicted in there impresses with signs of violence and cruelty, while author’s beloved persuasive figures are irritation and absurd intensifying of suspense. The paper is composed of two parts. In the first of them the priority is given to a traditional interpretation who suggests itself at once, a pure literary one, where emphasis is put on language. In the second part an alternative interpretation is underlined: despite the apparent suggestions of the plot the narrator wasn’t the perpetrator but one of many possible offenders. Thus the weight of interpretation is moved towards medial and social aspects.
    Artykuł stanowi próbę kompleksowej interpretacji powieści Thomasa Glavinica „Der Kameramörder” [Morderca z kamerą]. Przedstawione w niej morderstwo dwojga dzieci i związany z nim proces śledczy epatują znakami przemocy i okrucieństwa, przy czym ulubionymi środkami perswazyjnymi wykorzystywanym przez autora są irytacja i absurdalne wzmaganie napięcia. Tekst podzielony jest na dwie części. W pierwszej z nich podjęta zostaje interpretacja tradycyjna, nasuwająca się w pierwszej kolejności, interpretacja czysto literaturoznawcza, w której główny nacisk położony jest na język. W części drugiej do głosu dochodzi wykładnia alternatywna: wbrew temu, co pozornie nasuwa akcja utworu, narrator nie był sprawcą, lecz jednym z wielu możliwych winowajców. Tym samym ciężar interpretacji zostaje przesunięty na aspekty medialne i społeczne.

    Am 6. April 1945 wurden im Zuchthaus Stein über 220 vorwiegend politische Gefangene sowie drei antifaschistische Justizwachebeamte und der Anstaltsdirektor von nationalsozialistischen Aufsehern und von Volkssturm-, Waffen-SS- und Wehrmachtsangehörigen erschossen, um die von der Anstaltsleitung angeordnete Entlassung aller Inhaftierten zu verhindern. Am selben Tag wurden dutzende weitere Häftlinge in Krems an der Donau und in der Umgebung, auch unter Mithilfe der lokalen Bevölkerung, ermordet (‚Kremser Hasenjagd‘). 2015 erschien mit ROBERT STREIBELs Roman April in Stein die erste literarische Auseinandersetzung mit diesem NS-Endphaseverbrechen. Wie sich der Autor diesem Themenkomplex nähert, soll nach einem Abriss der Geschehnisse in Krems-Stein im April 1945 und ihrer Darstellung in der medialen Berichterstattung über den Volksgerichtsprozess im August 1946 erörtert werden.
    6 kwietnia 1945 r., w więzieniu Stein nazistowscy nadzorcy, członkowie Waffen-SS, Volkssturmu i Wehrmachtu zastrzelili ponad 220 więźniów (głównie politycznych) a także trzech antyfaszystowskich urzędników sądowych i dyrektora więzienia. Chcieli w ten sposób zapobiec uwolnieniu wszystkich więźniów, zarządzonemu przez kierownictwo zakładu. Kilkudziesięciu kolejnych więźniów – z pomocą okolicznej ludności – zostało zamordowanych w okolicach Krems nad Dunajem (‘̜Polowanie na zające w Krems’). W roku 2015 ukazało się pierwsze literackie rozliczenie z tą ostatnią fazą zbrodni nazistowskich: powieść ROBERTA STREIBLA April in Stein (Kwiecień w Stein). Artykuł informuje krótko o wydarzeniach w Krems i Stein w kwietniu 1945 r. oraz o medialnych sprawozdaniach z procesu sądowego, jaki odbył się w sierpniu 1946 r. Następnie analizuje sposób przedstawienia tej problematyki w powieści.
    On 6 April 1945 over 220 political prisoners from the Stein Penitentiary as well as three antifascist prison guards and the prison director were shot by Nazi guards and members of the Volkssturm, the Waffen-SS and the Wehrmacht in order to prevent the release of all prisoners as ordered by the prison management. The same day in Krems an der Donau and its surroundings dozens of inmates were killed with the active participation of the local population (this event became known as the ‚Kremser Hasenjagd‘ – lit. ,Krems hare hunt‘). ROBERT STREIBELs’ novel April in Stein, a literary exploration of this atrocity committed during the final months of the war, was first published in 2015. After a brief outline of the events that took place in Stein-Krems in April 1945 and their representation in media coverage of the War Crimes Trial before the Austrian People’s Court in August 1946, this paper will discuss how the author approaches this range of complex topics.
