Opis:: Press horoscopes are short informative and persuasive texts addressed to a seemingly individual reader, who skims through the text in order to match the content and intention of press horoscopes to his or her own situation. The article deals with the selected linguistic means used in German press horoscopes to draw the reader’s attention to certain text elements. The analysed data consists of extracts from press horoscopes in German weekly magazines for women (Bild der Frau, Freundin). The aim of the paper is to investigate different linguistic means (e.g. syntactic, lexical and typographical ones) used to draw the reader’s attention in order to elaborate their preliminary subclassification.

Opis:: Im Artikel wird am Beispiel von LeserInnenkommentaren im Schweizer Online-Newsportal watson.ch der Frage nachgegangen, inwiefern sich bei Online-Communities Merkmale von traditionaler Vergemeinschaftung (sensu Max Weber) nachzeichnen lassen und ob sich das Konzept der Diskursgemeinschaft(en) damit in Verbindung bringen lässt. Dafür wird der Begriff der Diskursgemeinschaft zunächst im widersprüchlichen Spannungsfeld zwischen sprach- und sozialwissenschaftlichen Gemeinschaftsverständnissen verortet. Anschliessend wird anhand ausgewählter Kommentare untersucht, wie sich klassische Vergemeinschaftungsmerkmale in Kommentarforen auf empirischer Ebene manifestieren. Abschliessend wird ein Lösungsvorschlag skizziert, wie die Systemtheorie nach Niklas Luhmann die Aporien zwischen verschiedenen on- und offline Vergemeinschaftungsformen überbrücken und damit einen integrativen Rahmen für die konfligierenden Gemeinschaftsverständnisse der klassischen Soziologie und der Diskursanalyse anbieten kann.
Using examples from comment sections in the Swiss online news site watson.ch, we investigate the question whether such online reader communities show traces of communal relationships (in the sense of Max Weber) and if such an understanding is compatible with the concept of discourse communities. To this end, we first outline the conflicting theoretical assumptions that linguistic and sociological understandings of communities imply for the concept of discourse communities. Afterwards, we use selected online reader comments to show how traditional features of community formation can be detected empirically in the comment section. To conclude, we argue that Niklas Luhmann’s systems theory can serve as a framework to integrate different types of community formation processes on an empirical and a theoretical level.

Opis:: Wychodząc od zdeterminowanych medium przeobrażeń tematów średniowiecznych w adaptacjach operowych na poziomie tekstu, muzyki i treści autor artykułu dokonuje - w odniesieniu do wieku XIX i XX - przeglądu oper, w których polscy kompozytorzy podejmują tematy z okresu średniowiecza. Druga część artykułu podejmuje analizę recepcji motywu Króla Artura w operze radiowej G. Bacewicz i w muzyce teatralnej Z. Krauze. Oboje kompozytorzy wywodzą się z innych tradycji muzycznych i różnie odnoszą się do tematu. W operze G. Bacewicz można odnaleźć wskazówki na poziomie treści odnoszące się do adaptacji materiału w formie komedii. Natomiast w muzyce teatralnej Krauzego do sztuki Merlin Tankreda Dorsta chodzi o nakreślenie charakterów postaci.
Based on some thoughts to the medial changes of a medieval subjects in an opera regard to textual, musical and content aspects, this paper gives an overview of operas in which Polish composers of the 19th and 20th centuries shape figures and themes from the Middle Ages.The second part of the paper summaries the reception of the Arthurian theme in the radio opera by G. Bacewicz and the theatre music by Z. Krauze. Both composers belong to different musical traditions and process the subjects differently. For the opera by Bacewicz are given some remarks to references to the content that describe the transformation of the subject into a comedy. In the theatre music to “Merlin” by Krauze, the paper focuses in the drawing of the figure in text by T. Dorst.
Ausgehend von Überlegungen zu den medial bedingten Veränderungen eines mittelalterlichen Stoffes bei einer Opernbearbeitung hinsichtlich textlicher, musikalischer und inhaltlicher Aspekte wird eine Übersicht von Opern gegeben, in denen polnische Komponisten des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts sich mit Figuren und Themen aus dem Mittelalter beschäftigten.Im zweiten Teil des Artikels wird die Rezeption des Artus-Stoffes in der Radiooper von G. Bacewicz und der Theatermusik von Z. Krauze skizziert. Beide Komponisten stehen in unterschiedlichen musikalischen Traditionen und verarbeiten den Stoff verschieden. Für die Oper von Bacewicz werden inhaltliche Hinweise gegeben, die die Verwandlung des Stoffes in eine Komödie beschrieben. Bei der Theatermusik zu „Merlin“ von Krauze konzentriert sich die Darstellung auf die Figurenzeichnung hinsichtlich des Textes von T. Dorst.

Opis:: Heinz Piontek and Christa Wolf before the turnaround. A comparative study. The article is a comparative study. The aims of the study is to analyze the essays written by Heinz Piontek and Christa Wolf before the turnaround, mainly in the 1970’, and to discuss the similarities and differences between them. We can notice some points of contact in their literary work. Similar motives in similar constellations appear in both essays writing. Although they worked in different regimes, the same themes and literary tendencies are described by both of them, and some phenomenons are being similar assessed.
